The owner then left the country and sent his father to do the work. Afterward, I received a call from a third party claiming to be the contractor, threatening to remove the scupper unless payment was made immediately -- completely unacceptable and alarming. The repair failed. I still have active water intrusion, and it has caused interior damage to my home. This company showed a serious lack of professionalism, oversight, and accountability. The workmanship did not resolve the problem, and the billing tactics were concerning. Homeowners - proceed with extreme caution! Verify who is performing the work, how payments are handled, and whether the company is operating to proper standards. ----------------------------- Your response contains multiple inaccuracies ... First, your claim that you "tried calling me multiple times" is false. You never called me. I have no missed calls, voicemails, or call logs from you after the work. What I do have is a saved voicemail left on 4/11/25, immediately after the work was performed. Second, your statement about nonpayment is also false. I paid a deposit on 4/04/25 and made final payment on 4/18/25. Both payments were made by credit card, and I have full documentation proving this. At no point was payment withheld "for over a month," and suggesting otherwise is simply untrue. Third, the call threatening to remove the scupper came from a third party claiming to be associated with you, and it occurred after the work was completed and while payment had already been made. Regardless of how you now characterize it, that call was inappropriate and alarming, and it happened under your company's name. Finally, the scupper installation you recommended did not resolve the leak. I continue to have water intrusion, and it has caused interior damage. Shifting blame to "the rest of the roof" does not change the fact that the specific repair you proposed and performed failed to correct the issue it was meant to fix. I am stating verifiable facts, supported by payment records and saved voicemail evidence. Any implication that I am misrepresenting events is incorrect. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. I called many companies for quotes. Some didn't return my calls at all. Some came five days after they said they would. Some gave me quotes that were terrifying. Some couldn't provide me a quote for the gutter AND roof on the same day. Brian from C&C came exactly when he was scheduled to, was able to get onto my roof with a ladder (not everyone did), show me pictures of the damage, talk through color options, and give me a quote on-the-spot. The quote was not only the best I received, but Brian came with more information (pamphlets, paperwork, real shingles, etc.) than any other company. He also told me that he'd be the project manager for the work, which made me happy. Everyone else that was sent from other companies was really only just there for the quote-phase of the process. I signed with him right away. I quickly learned that my nextdoor neighbor also signed-on to replace his roof. I knew I made the right decision, then, because he did not WANT to replace his roof! But in his words, "the price was too good to pass up" and "Brian meant business." About three weeks after signing a contract C&C arrived at 7 am on a Thursday with a whole crew of people. The men worked their asses off for over 13 straight hours in 90+ degree heat. Throughout the day I was paranoid that there would be a mess for me to clean up once they departed, but they did a really incredible job of cleaning up after themselves - especially when you consider what a disaster zone the area was during the day. Unfortunately we realized quickly after they departed that our AC unit had been damaged during the project. Most likely something heavy was tossed off the side of our roof and smashed into the corner of our intake unit, damaging the coils inside. I called Brian, explained the situation, texted him some photos, and he told me to get an estimate. I called Oliver and they told me that my unit needed to be replaced. The price they quoted me was kind of high, so Brian had Jason from Exact HVAC come take a look. Jason agreed with Oliver that I needed a new unit, but he could get C&C a better price. Three days later, Jason had installed my new AC unit. Even though some of my property was damaged during the course of the work, Brian handled the situation like a professional. He assured me that C&C would take care of the problem, and they did.
