Two years ago, we hired Munz Construction for stucco remediation and building a new deck. The workmanship was phenomenal. So, when we decided to remodel our master bathroom, we knew we'd retain them for the job. We worked with their in-house designer, Jill. We started by providing our desired wall tile. She worked wonders by helping us choose complimentary flooring, cabinetry, faucets and other hardware. She produced a wonderful solution for our home. As great as the designer was, the craftsmen were equally excellent. Demolition went off without a hitch. They made sure to constantly clean debris, dust, and other bits. The highlight was the tile workers' expertise: they were EXCEPTIONAL. The quality of their work still astounds us. They made the bathroom. Our master bathroom is now the best room in our house. From start to finish from my initial estimate with Jim and to the project manager Freddy and the roof and gutter installers my experience with Munz was superb. Communications and work and cleanup were thorough and work was done quickly from start to finish. I believe the cost was reasonable and in fact if not for Jim I would have been charged thousand of dollars more for similar materials and work. Feasterville PA Had them replace 2 windows. Windows were fine but they did a terrible job trimming the windows on the outside. Ended up having to call out another company to fix their work and ended up paying 1.5 times more for the job then I was quoted by anyone else. After a while and many calls to complain someone came out to look at the job and said it looked fine. By that time we had someone else fix it. I told them it was already corrected by another company and they left without a word and never heard anything else. Would never hire again. read more

Hired them to replace two skylights and fix the frame around a bedroom window. We also needed some drywall replaced around the bedroom skylight. They didn't place the skylights in correctly and bugs have been flying right through the spaces in the skylight and screen. They also have no respect for your home. The multiple weeks this project took with them canceling on us and showing up sparatically were plagued by the rooms being caked with dust from them sanding drywall. This is after they asssured us there wouldn't be any mess and they would take care of everything on that end. Don't hire this company. We are now working on fixing the skylights we paid them to install. It is a complete joke. Should have never paid them. read more

We've worked with Munz on a few large projects within our home including; deck remodel, master bathroom, sliding glass doors, front doors, built-in shelving in kids room, hall bathroom, stairway remodel, entryway remodel and currently an addition/kitchen remodel. Thank you Munz Construction . I was warned that when adding an addition that is half the size of my house would be very challenging on so many fronts . Two previous companies told me that securing permits could be a lengthy and costly process because of certain complex issues with the design of the addition and setbacks. These companies did not want to proceed because they thought the risk/reward wasn't worth their time and effort . I met with Munz architects, estimator and design team all at once . They educated me on how to make one design change which would get me permits. we had the permits in less then a month. Working with Munz was seamless. They are a buttoned up outfit. The quote and payment schedule did not include any hidden fees, and their work was completed when they said it would be completed. My wife and I have remodeled every home we have lived in and as a result have worked with different general contractors and handymen. Munz, by far, was the best. We requested work on our front porch. It was leaning on one side & felt it needed a face lift & structural repair. We contacted Munz & spoke with Mike. He was friendly, a genuinely nice person. He indicated an architect was needed, so we met with the architect & Mike a few weeks later. We paid for the drawing, which we liked, however, it was sent over the internet, no measurements or blueprints. We paid $1200 for that. Several months went by & we called Mike to find out when we might get scheduled in. No return call. Called again with same result. Called the office & were informed we would get a call back with the same result. Called the office again & when informed we would get a call back I said I would prefer speaking with someone & asked if Mike was still with Munz to which the answer was yes. The person that I spoke with assured me someone would get back to us before they left for the day. We didn't get a call. Perhaps our job was too small. They replaced my chimney from the ground up to the existing hood eight years ago ..last year I had a leak coming from the chimney when I went up there I found that they caulked around the chimney collar. I called Manz spoke to Bernie he told me the collar was cut out when he did the job and wouldn't do anything about it . Made an arrangement to meet with Chris, the owner, as per his schedule request. We rearranged our holiday travels to meet his request as we were traveling from hours away. He didn't show up, but sent others in his place. We have a larger project of rebuilding a house of which details were not conveyed to his replacements. Further, the individual who did meet us at our property never took a single note. He had a notebook, but never opened it to notate anything that was discussed. There were many different topics covered, but again, not a single note was taken. When we departed it was agreed that Chris would circle back after he returned from being out of town. That the first step is to agree to a payment schedule. We drove 9 hrs, rearranged our holiday schedule to meet with Chris, but we're told Chris left town to get a head start on the holidays. This was done when Chris knew we were traveling from Maine to meet with him. After waiting 4 weeks and not hearing from anyone from Munz, I decided to email Chris to express my dissatisfaction. He said that they were under the impression that I was to reach back to them. Maybe if Steve took notes, follow up would have taken place as agreed between us. Chris tells me to call him, so we can talk. He doesn't take the initiative to call a customer himself. We wasted time and money (Hotel & Food). This before we ever got project started. Glad we found out about their lack of respect and poor customer service before spending big money. Think before you enter into agreement with an originization/company that shows total lack of respect to its customers. I noticed by your reply, you don't contest a single word I said. It's not "Bashing" to recount an experience we had with your company. Also, we never had a conversation about you offering rectifying our experience, nor have we identified a construction company for our project. Munz construction is an outstanding company. They have knowledgable staff that are friendly and personable while maintaining a wonderful work ethic & drive. From the point of diagnosing what was pushing my siding out (thermal shock) to the moment the last gutter was installed I couldn't have been more pleased with the work the Munz crew did. I had several windows replaced, new insulation, some structural repairs, and new siding placed on my home. It looks great! I have also had a bathroom done with Munz construction about 2&1/2 yeas ago. Again, their work was amazing. If ever Someone does find something wrong with their work, it'll probably be a very small issue. We hired Munz for an addition. Based on a friend's recommendation and after meeting Chris (owner) and his dad we were sold. That would be the last time the owner was involved. He did not check in, at all, through the process. We were not provided the opportunity to review anything with him after completion either. The foreman, Rich, was arrogant and rude. He made multiple mistakes with materials and was argumentative when we questioned things. For example, one product was not as we ordered. He insisted it was and said it was too late anyway. We were told we'd be visiting a warehouse to choose flooring, windows, etc. That never happened. Instead we were given a small amount of floor samples. There were a series of subcontractors in and out, who had poor communication with the foreman. They used our kids buckets and some of our personal tools. Throughout the job, we had to call them back to point out the design plans and make sure they fulfilled what was there. There were errors in construction my husband noticed, that had he not pointed out, would've been overlooked. One involved a large crack through 90% of a support beam. The lack of respect and owner's disengagement was very disappointing. It became clear that as a smaller job, we were not important to them. read more

Flooring had to be redone due to contractor error/lack of basic knowledge. Shower doors improperly measured, requiring return and rebuild. Shower leaked shortly after installation, and Munz sent plumber to fix problem rather than shower contractor. Walls still remain damaged from this leak, and Munz has yet to resolve this issue. Munz did a great job on our roof. Since then we used them for a bathroom quote and the estimate was very off from what we asked for. It almost seemed like they gave us an estimate for a totally different project that was not ours! So we went with another contractor. We just had them quote another project (we really wanted to believe it would be better) and again the estimate was very off from what we asked for, and we even provided a drawing this time. It seems as if they don't take the time to do a thorough job on estimates and that's a huge disappointment. If your estimate isn't detailed, it makes you wonder how the jobs would be done. read more

I like reading these reviews, the first impression so far I'm a fan! I had them over this week to provide an estimate for siding, windows, gutters, repair work, etc. The gentleman came prepared with samples and told me no rush to return them. He answered our questions, seemed straight forward with answers (because he was knowledgeable) and seemed very willing to please. I like the fact they do all the work so I do not need to hire/oversee different contractors/subcontractors doing the installations. That can be a real headache if something goes wrong, one would blame the other. Next step, waiting for the estimates. read more

We had a small leak, and they were right there to fix the issue. I know they will stand by their product and workmanship.
