I had a shower enclosure that had a tile ceiling and partial walls, down to fiberglass walls. I wanted the fiberglass walls removed and the have the shower finished with tile. I purchased the same tile that was used for the upper area of the shower, requesting bids for doing the work. I got several calls from contractors who wanted to rip out everything and replace the entire shower, AND the rest of the bathroom! that wasn't the scope of the project I was looking for! I received a text from Zauri at Alameda Construction and he had read my detailed description of the work and said he could help. Zauri stopped by the next day to look at the work needed, took pictures and sent a proposal & contract that evening. He and his tile expert Imeda started work the following week after they had completed a couple other projects, and spent 2 1/2 days ripping out, installing new concrete board, waterproofing, and re-tiling the shower as well and fixing our tile floor that had some issues as well. Not only did Alameda Construction perform the work I requested, using the tile I had purchased, Zauri (owner) & Imeda were very professional and pleasant to work with, did excellent work, and the result is amazing!! I sent out a request on Thursday afternoon to re-floor the laundry room of my house and by Saturday afternoon the job was fully complete. Z and his crew are so professional in their communication and work. When they started to remove the existing flooring they discovered the there was some dangerous rot underneath and fixed that too. He patched all the holes and sanded them smooth (without me asking which was nice) then hung a double Curtain rod for me. He cleaned a dirty soffit and awning housing outside and looked at a storm door which I thought might be broken(it was). He offered to install a new storm door if I wanted.
