These guys are the best! We were in a tight time frame, and our garage door broke! I texted Roy on a Saturday and he responded on a weekend! He came out Monday AM, told me that I needed a new garage door. He was able to get his guys (Pedro) out that same day, because he knew I was on a tight time crunch. The price was very reasonable! Pedro came out a couple hours later, and installed a brand new garage door within hours! He was respectful, and professional. These guys are awesome! Thank you for making a stressful situation so easy! read more

We have gates to our home powered by Liftmaster. When I called on a Saturday, Precise Garage Door and Gates was very responsive. They came out Sunday and returned on Monday. Both visits were on schedule and with professional communication. Estimates were done efficiently, professionally and digitally that I could view and approve on my cell phone, on the spot. Our technician, Roy, also took the extra time and care to make sure our cars were properly programmed to open the gates and our garage (just in case). The service was in the *above and beyond* category. I would use this company and Roy again for any repair. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I requested a garage door replacement project on Yelp and was sent this company. I scheduled an appointment of which Precise must have sent my info to an entirely different company, Palms Garage Doors. That seems to go against Yelp's terms. Precise Garage Door now won't answer my calls. read more

My address was too far for an in-person visit, but the Precise team happily hopped on a Facetime call and patiently walked me through the steps I needed to take to troubleshoot my issue. I would give them 6 stars if I could. read more

What can I say, Joe and team did a great job! I can't sugarcoat it even if I wanted to. The process as a whole took an hour and 2 minutes, I timed it with my timer. Really quick. I was expecting 2-3 hours. Roy removed the old garage opener and sensors with ease, then installed the new ones and set up the app capabilities of this newer model. I was going to buy this on my own and have a 3rd party install it, but I checked the market and this was truly the best price amongst 6+ competitors that I reached out to. They're very reasonable, handled the install of the garage opener same day, and really quick and efficient. The only concern is the keypad was installed on the left side of the garage when we wanted it not installed at all or on the right side. But we didn't want holes drilled into the wall because we just painted the house recently and it's a brand new coat of paint. We wish we could have been consulted with this part first, but it's too late now. Other than that, great job. I'd recommend them for their speed, time, and efficiency. Very reasonable and friendly. read more

When faced with a garage door dilemma, call "Precise" to the rescue! They will not let you down. I couldn't have picked a more reliable garage door company! I called Precise and initially spoke to courteous Ben. He sent Roy over to take care of our garage door "issues." Roy is a lifesaver, to say the least! He is a true professional, dependable, trustworthy, hard working and a man of his word. My husband and I are indeed very satisfied customers and we are truly grateful to have reached out to Precise Garage Door. This is a company that deserves five shining stars and we highly recommend them! Thank you Roy for all your great work and thank you Ben, for sending Roy! You guys rock! read more

They came out right away and had all the parts to fix the garage door that afternoon.

I can't find any garage door service to install the rubber seal at the bottom. Same here.

I had an easement entry gate emergency. The swing door / gate was stuck open. The remote wouldn't do a thing and despite me cleaning the area, the sensors were not responding. I contacted the original installers, thinking they would at least come out and assess at no charge. But those jerks wanted to charge 400$ just to come out and see what the issue was. I was nervous as the property now was easily accessible and that's not a good thing in Oakland. I found Ben and Josef from this company and they saved me! They responded to my late evening call immediately, they came out to my property and assess the situation promptly and at NO CHARGE. And fixed my issue in no time! These guys have demonstrated honesty, integrity, and good customer service with pricing that's normal. I highly recommend them. I was grateful for not taking advantage of me financially - but rather they genuinely tried to help. read more

The service was excellent! Responsive time was quick. My garage door opener was not connecting and it turned out the problem was with the main garage door unit. Our garage door spring snapped on Christmas Day. We called and left a message that night and Roy arrived promptly the next day to give an estimate and repair our door. He was courteous and explained everything well. Our door is now fully operational. read more

Very happy with new garage door that was repaired this morning. Thought the sensors were off but my original garage door is almost 11 yrs old , had a broken spring and could not be lifted manually and cable came off its drum. I called this AM and Roy was able to come out within the hour to troubleshoot, provide us the info on the best options to repair this. We have had the springs replaced 1x with them before but the garage door does get a lot of use. He replaced all the other original parts with a new belt, the newest model motor with new entry pad & remotes, helped to establish the new app, made sure that everything worked properly, answered all concerns and provided fair pricing. Roy was knowledgeable, efficient and professional. The door is soooo smooth and quiet now vs the cranky sounding original that was installed by the builder. I would highly recommend Precise Garage Door if you have any garage door issues. read more

What a wonderful experience! I texted precise garage door first thing in the morning when my husband realized our garage door stopped working, They send me an expert within 2 hours and we were able to start our day with no issues with the garage door. You guys save the day we will definitely recommend you to anyone needs help in an emergency and just to have your number as a backup in mind thank you, we super appreciated your hard work! read more

I've used Precise Garage Door twice now and each time have been impressed with their professionalism, communication, and thoroughness. I messaged through Yelp and within minutes of my request was offered same-day availability. This most recent service was because our garage door kept popping open after close was initiated. Our technician, Joseph called when he was on his way and was prompt and friendly. He quickly identified the issue and checked all other parts of our Liftmaster system. I appreciated that he explained the problem and outlined the repair. Very fair pricing too. Will definitely message again anytime I need a garage fix. read more

Precise Garage Door and Automatic Gates - Garage door motor - Garage Door Services Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

This review is for a metal gate post and Lift-master swing gate arm replacement service at the top of this year. Our metal post was not leveled properly and did not have the appropriate thickness or strong cement foundation to support the weight of the gate. This caused stress and wear on our lift master arm motor, and eventually broke the gears, and even left an open gap between the gate and the opposing post. Roy diagnosed this issue very precisely--no pun intended! ;) as they began working on our gate with an excellent repair technician named Francisco. At each phase of the job, Roy assured us of each necessary steps to complete the re-installation of the post and arm, and even provided a remote and motor battery replacements on the house for our troubles. After the job was complete, our gate sits solidly leveled and has full range of motion, and is no longer shifting or causing us any issues. Overall, this was an amazing high quality job by Precise and I highly recommend that you contact them for any gate or garage services! They'll take good care of you and make sure the service is dove right. Big thanks to Roy, Joseph and Francisco for coordinating and completing this job for us with above and beyond service! read more

Not trust-worth and overpriced. Broken torsion spring needed to be replaced, they charged $700 to replace two springs. I replaced it with them since I needed it replaced right away. After the replacement, they tried to convince me that my Garage opener was broken too since it open and closed too hard. Suggesting the motor needed to be replaced for over $2000 and saying it's a good deal. Didn't feel the suggestion was trust worthy. After the guy left. I researched the issue and all it needed was to be recalibrated the "up limit" and "down limit". read more

Exceptional service from Roy! They came within an hour of calling and had it fixed within 2. 100% recommend!

Look no further, these are the guys you need to hire. I've contacted a reasonable amount of specialists and they are by far the best in the area. Small enough to care but big enough to do a big project like ours. We had very specific requirements and they met all of them. Every detail I wanted was done, no complaints, no push back etc etc. Joseph was a pleasure to work with and Juan is a master welder/fabricator. Thank you guys so much!!! read more

Precise Garage Door and Automatic Gates - Another view. - Garage Door Services Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

Roy is the man! He came out a couple years ago to address a broken torsion spring. He was quick, efficient, and clearly communicated everything that needed to be done. He also noted the age of the garage motor and how its on its way out and may have issues later. He wasn't at all pushy with the matter, but recommended addressing it eventually and moved on. Fast forward to recently. Sure enough, an issue came along that needed addressing. Originally thought it was related to the torsion spring not being tightened enough, so called them over to address it, since it was still under warranty. Roy came by my place again. He still remembered everything about my situation even though it was a couple years later. Ended up the issue was related to the motor needing replacing. There was no repairing the existing one because it was already over 20 yrs old and that particular method of pulling the garage door isn't used any more. He demonstrated the parts that were causing issues and offered a few options on replacing the motor. He was pretty upfront about the features and prices for each option. He didn't try to steer me one way or another. His explanation was broken down clearly and patiently repeated as needed so I could understand it completely. Kept it informative and professional. When I made my decision, he went to work, replacing out worn out parts and changing out the motor. After he was done, he walked me through the changes as well as additional features the new motor had. Completely satisfied with the experience and result. Would go with them again. read more

Fast response. Roy arrived on time same day and fixed the broken spring and tension cable. Roy provided clear options, explained what he did, and finished the work quickly. Roy was upfront with the cost and options. Garage door is fully functional again. Thanks! read more

Roy is awesome. He came and replaced my old garage door motor about 6 months ago. He was super fast and efficient and I was thrilled to get it taken care of so quickly. He even got me started with the app to open and close it :). 6 months later, it was glitchy and not opening/ closing properly. He called back immediately, came to the house a few hours later that same day, and had it fixed. Turns out it was a sensor that had come loose. Highly recommend Roy! Efficient, pleasant, prompt and knowledgeable! read more

Once again, Roy to the rescue! We had issues with our garage keypad and thought we needed to replace it entirely. Already had replaced the battery. Turns out it was just a programming issue - sometimes it needs a hard reset from the motor unit "learn" button (not just the keypad/screen itself), and Roy directed us step-by-step on how to do it after sending him videos and texts. We had already looked at YouTube videos and the instructions, but Roy guided us through it and fixed it without him having to come out for a service visit. We will use this business for all things garage-related in the future!!! read more

Precise Garage Door and Automatic Gates - Springs - Garage Door Services Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

I called Precise Garage Door about 10 days ago as I needed a second remote garage door opener. I made an appointment and I met with Roy, who inspected the the garage door motor and reported that this particular model would not allow him to program a duplicate garage opener remote. He said that he could replace the garage door motor with 2 remotes for just under $1000, which I declined.. I was later talking to my neighbor about the experience. He went to our local hardware store, purchased a remote and in under 15 minutes had programed the new remote. Roy, I believed you and trusted you, quite a disappointment. read more

Excellent! I've been in my house a little over a year. Roy came out to fix my garage door but saw it was incorrectly framed instead of charging me he gave me the information to go back to the contractor to have it correctly installed. Amazing customer service service thank you read more

I am giving an update on my earlier review. I spoke with Joseph and Francisco came to do the repair. I stand totally corrected. What we thought was a defect turned out not to be a defect at all. I would advise anyone who lives in the Peninsula has a gate to have a concrete pad poured around their gate motor to prevent rats from getting in they are insidious little creatures and very harmful to gate motors. I do appreciate their performance and attention to detail. read more

Really great experience! Called and got an appointment for the next day. A very polite man showed up and started right away. I usually do my own work on cars and the house, but I don't touch springs. So, I called them. From my first call to them to having it fixed was about two hours total. Joseph came out and fixed it. He also taught me how it worked and how I could fix it in the future, but I'd just call them anyway. He fixed a creaking noise as well and lubricated hinges. Thanks guys! read more
