The owner of this restaurant was featured in a travel magazine at my hotel - there was a little…read moreprofile of him as a rapper and small business owner which touched on his impressions of and favorite parts of Rome. I was intrigued by the story and set out to explore his favorite neighborhood on foot, ending my walk with a lunch in his restaurant.
When I arrived, he was actually near the front, seating guests, serving food, and making coffee.
The interior is very cute - I love the Christmas lights and letters over the bar.
The fare is simple, fresh, organic, and affordable. They offer a prix-fixe menu for something like 9 euros which includes a side (which varies daily), a salad, and a choice of one of three main dishes. Both the side and salad are vegan, but the three mains include a vegan, vegetarian, and meat option.
Overall, I'd recommend it, if you're visiting the area.
