I have now tried Solo Crudo three times, and each time I'm more convinced that I want to keep coming back, again and again and again.
It helps that I go at lunch, so there is a prix fixe 1 antipasto/secondo + 1 primo + bottle of water for €10, which makes it by far the best value for the area. It also helps that I am practically turning into a vegetarian and am falling in love with vegetables. That said...
The dishes are as tasty as they are beautiful. Highlights so far have been the zucchini rolls with home-made cashew-milk cheese, pistacchio flour and alfalfa sprouts, zucchini spaghetti with taggiasca olive tomato sauce, mushroom soup (I have never tasted mushrooms like this before - truly delightful), the crostino of nuts and fruit with taggiasca olive pate, the millefoglie of dried pears slices with cashew-cheese pastry cream and finally the vegan, raw chocolate truffles with chopped nuts and vin brulee spices.
The beet spaghetti with cashew cheese (cacio e pepe) as well as the zucchini spaghetti with tomato sauce and bronte pistacchios were also nice.
The best part of all? You get up after the meal actually feeling like you did your body a favor and you enjoyed yourself the whole time.
It is truly tiny (just four tables) and they use composting disposable plates and utensils.
