Experimental vegan, vegetarian and organic cuisine in a retrò environment, need I say more? Absolutely unique in Rome.

While this restaurant is far from the center of Rome it is certainly worth a visit. I studied in…read moreRome for four months and my only regret is not finding NOI sooner. The hospitality and service was so far beyond anything I had experienced during my stay. We were given amazing individual attention, and the place was packed! As we sat down they immediately brought a pitcher of water (unheard of in Italy) and also treated us with some complimentary aperitifs. Already it was a top notch experience. The menu only offers simple, Roman dishes. Everything from the pasta to the sauce is homemade. We split the crostini appetizer, which was a platter of toasted bread with various spreads and toppings. It was great. For our first corse I got the black truffle carbonara, and my friend ordered pasta with onion and red wine sauce (something we hadnt seen at other places.) The pasta was cooked perfectly, and it was clear that it was made in house. We were full, but the pasta was so good we had to see what else the restaurant had to offer, so we split an Osso Bucco with roasted potatoes, again we were glad we did. Very well done, and not fatty. The host, Marcello, was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He even gave us a bottle of 2007 reserve wine for the price of the house wine, which was amazing in itself. It's clear that he and his wife pride themselves on hospitality, and their service is backed up by the superb traditional food. All in all it came to 80 euro for two bottles of wine, an appetizer, two pastas, a main course, and two limoncellos. Not bad! No matter how far you are from this authentic restaurant, it should not be missed!

The most important thing first: I enjoyed the best italian food I ever tried in this place…read more It is a little hard to find, since it is located on the back side of a small road. Once we took our seats, the waitress was very nice and explained the menu to us plus gave us some good recomondations. Especially the primi piati (Homemade Pasta) was delicious, followed by some slow cooked meat with tastefully sauce. Also I recommend to try the cheese cake, a speciality here. The restaurant is definetly worth the way.
