When I tried to have her fix it, she told me that she would need to rewash my hair and didn't have time because she had another appointment. There was also a ton of tugging throughout. Once she finished cutting, she went to curl it, only to try one piece & nothing else? I always speaks with owner of any shop I walk in for the first time. I spoke to Doug about my hair, in about a year in with my locs grey/black frizzed out lots of new growth after our consultation Doug suggested crochet $150. No problem. 1. The crochet at the root looked so neat, but he only did the root and did not crochet the rest of the new growth. I'm so disappointed until I'm just done with locs. I say to all Loctician's there are all kind of videos to view a correct approach for great looking locs seems I always get lazy techs. I'm 71 years old and my grey/black loc experience ends here. I've had it! When you walk in a shop, speak with the owner and explain what you want please refer that client to maybe another stylist that is up to doing the job correct the first time. I'm not please with Doug, but perhaps that was a bad day and he will do better with someone else. I didn't bother reaching out to Doug, but I believe in reviews. Ms Coleman

I've been a client of Michael's for several years and to the new location twice (once for a cut and once for a color), and the last time I was there he told me about how he spent a lot of time during lockdown watching professional development videos and watching new expert haircutting techniques. The salon suite has the same feel as Fuss, with the great music and Soma hair products he used at Fuss. But now there are masks instead of tea (but I suspect tea will be back when we can get out of our masks). Michael takes safety very seriously, handling all the doorknobs instead of the client and even leaving the room when I switched out of my fabric mask into a disposable one he graciously gave me when he pointed out that mine would get dye on it. I am so happy to have Michael back. Even if life isn't back to normal yet, at least my hair looks fantastic!
