Trusting these people was the biggest mistake of my life.
I was their patient for 4 years (2016-2020). And for all of this time they concealed the information that one of my teeth needs to be extracted. Instead, they marketed the Invisalign or a crown, since this was the only tooth I was willing to do any work on. In 2019 I finally decided to do the Invisalign. Tiffany Jozwiak proposed multiple changes even though I never voiced any bite complaints. I asked for another plan but she already had aligners and strongly advocated for hers. Finally, I agreed. After about 70 % of the treatment, I asked for ONE additional appointment because I was concerned how much my face had changed. I did not expect that. During that appointment she angrily told me that I was the only person who did not like her plan and that she was not going to earn any MONEY on this because I was taking too much of her time! I felt bad and I agreed to continue with her original plan since she also asserted there will be a refinement which will address my issues. At the end of the treatment, my face looked even worse and I was not able to chew properly. She promised to correct the problems during an additional 5 months of treatment but she did not manage.
Immediately after the Invisalign, I was sent by Jeniffer Williams to see an endodontist regarding the tooth for which I did the Invisalign. She said that there was an issue, I asked for how long, she just mumbled something like "Oh, we've been keeping an eye on it". The endodontist said that I needed to extract that tooth! I then (in 2020) asked the office for x-rays from my first visit back in 2016 and the root resorption was massive already then! I would have NEVER chosen the Invisalign if I knew that the tooth will need to be removed and replaced with an implant!
After almost one year of treatment, I had to extract the tooth for which I DID the treatment (I got a massive gum inflammation above that tooth few weeks after the treatment)! My blood still boils whenever I think about that. I also started having enormous PAIN in my jaw when I stopped wearing the retainer full time. I was not able to put my jaws together comfortably. When I confronted Jozwiak about all of it, she said, "I'm sorry, unfortunately, in your case, everything what could go wrong, went wrong"? WHAT? You and Williams, encouraged me to do this for 3 years, while I wasn't even interested that much, and you haven't mentioned that anything could ever go wrong!
I went for an orthodontic consultation and was told I needed braces with rubber bands to address that and that I had 4 different bites after the Invisalign. Braces were removed over a year ago but the jaw pain still persists. The orthodontist managed to correct some of the things but not the discomfort and the pain. Over the past 4 years I had to learn to ALWAYS keep my teeth apart and to do muscle releases daily. Something that was painless and comfortable throughout all of my life, like putting my teeth together, since the Invisalign with Jozwiak, has been the source of enormous discomfort and suffering. Since braces were removed, I have seen multiple dentists, underwent physical jaw therapy to no avail. Some of these people said I still need another ortho treatment, but that I need a brilliant, experienced orthodontist. Someone advised me to stop wearing the retainer, which I did. They said that bite adjustments are extremely difficult. The quality of my life has been significantly reduced. I am devastated.
I trusted Williams and Jozwiak, paid them for x-rays and checkups, paid them for telling me the truth. They made a fool out of me.
Jozwiak paid for the subsequent orthodontic treatment and some occlusion adjustments and promised to pay all of my bills but they did not. They still owe me about $ 3k. They also offered to pay additional $ 4k on the condition that I do not sue them and I do not share my experience. I did not sign that form. I prefer to publish this review instead. TMJ and bite people are very expensive, it will cost an arm and a leg to treat this successfully. It's been 5 years that I haven't been able to close my jaws comfortably. Since that Invisalign, I feel like a handicapped person, and I am starting to lose hope that someone will be able to help me and that one day I will be able to forget about my teeth and jaw pain.
I wish these women everything the worst. I will never ever forgive them. read more
