My new dentist, Dr. Toledo was absolutely wonderful as had been by previous dentist Dr. Skylar at this office. Dr. Toledo said it was finally time to replace my crown. It had been over 35 years. So it was time to do it. Quoted me a price of $356. Had it underway with the impression of the tooth. Then I get a call from Krystle the fine woman up front asking if I could wait a week due to insurance issues. They're in charge. I waited. Got the new crown two days ago. Yeah! Better news? Krystle tells me there is no charge. She was most definitely my hero! Love her and my new dentist, Dr. Toledo. Any dental problems? Go to Dekamore Dental in Dekalb!

I get there to get my…read moretooth pulled but instead of them pulling my tooth they want to schedule a deep cleaning for the left side of my mouth and then come back and do the right side of my mouth ! I thought this was normal! I made the appointment to clean the left side. After that cleaning I went home and called my insurance company and they said they didn't have to do any cleaning!! That's just more money for them! This is a stall tactic to get money' so I never scheduled the second cleaning and never got what I went there for. As of today I never got it pulled I don't trust nobody in the medical field!!

I started going to Dekalb Dental in 2020 because I moved to Dekalb during covid and had an…read moreabscessed tooth due to an incorrectly done crown at my previous dentist. They were the only dentist that would take me as a new patient. No other local dentists would take new patients at the time because it was the height of covid. I guess that should have been my first red flag. After 2 years of multiple fillings and honestly feeling like they were just after my money, I finally switched to Sycamore Dentistry. They have had to fix two teeth that were done wrong at Dekalb Dental. One was a filling, the second was the original crown I had the abscess in. Today they removed the old crown and discovered temporary filling material that was left inside my sealed tooth! This was not sterile and was deteriorating inside my tooth! The dentist said within a year or two I would have lost the tooth entirely if they hadn't caught it. Dekalb Dental is negligent. Please avoid this place at all costs and save yourself thousands of dollars on redone dental work and even maybe a few teeth!

When I called dental fields office again they claimed to have already called several times, however I do not believe this to be the case. Very frustrating, canceled my appointment and will find another dentist who can either tell the difference between medical and dental or at least call to get it cleared up.

The first time I came into Patel Family Dental, they were all so welcoming and made me feel at ease. Dr. Patel explained everything before hand and made sure I was more than comfortable with the procedure. If I felt any sort of discomfort he would stop and give me more anesthetic. I apologized for my silly fear and he made it more than obvious that he was happy to help. Second visit; I forgot about my appointment. When they called to inform me, they stated they were able to squeeze me in that morning. When I arrived I apologized greatly and everyone from the receptionist, assistants and the Doctor himself made me feel as if they understood that things happen. My procedure plan changed as my tooth condition had worsened, in which Dr. Patel needed to spend more time on my mouth than scheduled for, in which I'm sure made his schedule very tight. Again, I apologized and he said not to worry. Never once did I feel judged or ashamed for being late and basically pushing his schedule behind. He took his time and was still beyond friendly and professional. After the visit he went over instructions for at home care and included his cell phone number; in which he instructed me to call anytime (even on weekends or at night) if I have any issues or questions. Overall; best dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Patel and his assistant Kourtney have calmed my anxiety with dentistry tremendously and make each visit easier and easier. Another crown that Family Dental put in, fell out ! Another crown that was put in was not put in right, the tooth under it is decaying and I will loose it andwill have to have another I implant. I have had to pay over 4 thousand out of pocket to fix what Family Dental has done. I care for my teeth and do not want to loose them but because of Family Dental, that is what is happening.
