Before starting treatment, I wasn't really happy with my smile. I used to actually force my upper lip up when I smiled because I felt like you couldn't see enough of my teeth. I wanted to be able to show more of my teeth and create a wider smile. I had also started noticing that my teeth were shifting, and I knew it was going to get worse if I don't do something now. I had orthodontic treatment in my teens with a different orthodontist, and I always wore my top retainer, so getting braces again as an adult was something I thought about very carefully. I researched orthodontists in the area pretty heavily for over two years. I wanted to find someone who had experience with adult braces and was comfortable treating someone who has crowns on teeth. I also wanted an orthodontist who understood that I wasn't looking to simply straighten my teeth. I wanted to change my smile and the overall appearance of my face. One thing I really liked was being able to see pictures online of their real patients, rather than just stock photos. I also started asking people in the area who had really nice smiles where they had gone for their orthodontic treatment. Honestly, I think this is one of the best ways to get a true referral.. asking people whose results you genuinely admire. From the beginning, the staff was kind, accommodating, and, most importantly, honest. The office is clean, modern, and up to date. As an adult getting braces, I thought I would feel much more embarrassed or self-conscious than I actually did. The braces were barely noticeable, and most people didn't even realize I had them unless I told them. Friends, family, and peers were actually more curious about why I decided to get braces, and so many people would tell me they had been thinking about changing their own teeth too. Now that I'm finished, I can honestly say I'm so happy I did it. Dr. Grzetic and Dr. Prose were amazing. I love my smile, but what surprised me the most was the overall change in my face. I truly didn't realize how much your face can change when your teeth and smile are properly aligned. You're going to have your teeth for the rest of your life. If you're not happy with them now, you're probably not going to be happy with them 10 or 20 years from now. Don't keep putting it off. Make the appointment. It's worth it. I'm so grateful I found Dr. Grzetic and Dr. Prose and trusted them with my smile. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering orthodontic treatment. 10/10 overall experience.

Last week, it broke and the wire was making eating quite difficult and speaking quite painful. Dr. Patel, who isn't even my doctor squeezed me in on a Saturday, before he left for a wedding. I just thought he'd remove the wire, but he removed the wire, ground down the cement, cleaned my bottom teeth and installed a new retainer in thirty minutes. Impressive!
