I paid a large deposit upfront because I wanted a one-time visit to get everything done and reduce stress. Instead, it's been nothing but problems. First appointment: I arrived as instructed and waited over two extra hours past my scheduled time. I went to the front desk multiple times asking for updates, and each time staff would go into the back and come back with nothing. Eventually, the anesthesiologist himself had to come out and told me not to worry, to leave and drive around for another hour, and to not eat or drink. That was ridiculous. I walked out. While driving home, I spoke with Nicole, who verbally promised there would be zero issues going forward. We agreed I would be the first patient on the 18th, that I would arrive five minutes early, and that if I wasn't taken back within ten minutes, I would walk out. Second appointment: I showed up on the 18th expecting to move forward as agreed, only to be told my appointment had been automatically rescheduled to December 23rd without my knowledge. Nicole did call, but from a different number than the office, which my phone flagged as spam. The new date is the day before Christmas Eve, which I'm not available for and forced me to cancel plans. So much for "zero issues." At this point, I still haven't received treatment, and this will be my third time walking into this office. I'm only continuing because I'll lose my deposit if I don't. What was supposed to ease my dental anxiety has made it ten times worse due to constant delays, poor communication, and random scheduling changes. No one in my family has ever had a bad experience and if you do the math that would span over 200+ visits for a family of 5 going twice a year. I'd say that's a pretty good average. You know you're in trouble when the practice has a logo and the doc always has a great tan! Dr. Grimley consistently pushed for unnecessary xrays, sealants, replacing old amalgam fillings etc. When I had pain in a molar after he'd replaced an old amalgam filling 6 mo's earlier, he told me it now needed a root canal and crown. $2000 later (1000 to root canal guy), the tooth still gives me trouble. Nothing was wrong with this tooth until he replaced the filling! The crown he fitted is lousy and he had to grind it down to the point where it no longer feels like a normal molar. His response is consistently, "oh well it happens." Avoid this guy at all costs. UPDATE: 3 years later, Grimley notices my review and posts a picture proving my points about the tan and logo. Sorry doc, but I most certainly was a patient. I'm guessing you've treated lots of people in the same manner so my details aren't unique enough for you to guess who I am and have your lawyer write me a letter. I stand by my review. BTW, Check out all the glowing shill reviews that have showed up for this practice in the last month (Nov-Dec-2015) in Google reviews. I'm guessing someone has been busy trying to improve the practice's social media footprint.

The doctor did not wait long enough for the novocaine to kick in. He yelled at me for jumping each time he hit a nerve. He told me I had to hold still. I told him that my jumps were involuntary due to the sharp pain while he drilled. I complained and he assured me it would not happen again. The next time he gave more time for the novocaine but I still felt pain. Perhaps there was not enough. When a crown was cemented in place on another visit I again felt excruciating pain as he scrapped under the gum line to remove the cement. In addition the office is extremely small. My feet were less than a foot away from the wall. The dental assistant has to squeeze around the room. There is no tray table. The dental assistant drops tools on your chest for Dr. Marchese to use. Each of my dental experiences were a pain ridden nightmare.
