I used Inspectiver for a pre-purchase inspection on a used 2018 Equinox, and I'm glad I did. The report was thorough. It covered the exterior, interior, mechanical systems, and tires point by point, with comments and photos. The inspection found problems I would have missed on my own. The check engine light came on during the inspection, and the OBD scan showed trouble codes and smog monitors that weren't ready, which suggested the codes had recently been cleared. The inspector also found that three of the tires were original 2017 tires, worn and cracked, and unsafe to drive on, so the road test couldn't be done. The report also flagged brake pads that will need replacing soon, a TPMS warning, and several cosmetic issues. The summary was clear and to the point: the car wouldn't pass smog as-is and had significant issues. That gave me what I needed to walk away. For the cost of an inspection, it probably saved me thousands in repairs and a lot of frustration. I'll use Inspectiver again and highly recommend them to anyone buying a used car.

Dabo inspected the vehicle thoroughly, and told me of all the various issues he found on the vehicle, and i'm really glad i did not buy it cause it would have been a headache and cost thousands of dollars to repair all the issues the dealership was hiding on the vehicle. I was satisfied with the report (along with pictures) that were provided promptly after the inspection was completed. Because i did not buy the vehicle, i wanted to have another inspection on another vehicle that very same day, and i'm very glad Dabo was able to accomodate my request. Dabo again inspected the vehicle, told me about the issues on the vehicle, and again he saved me a headache because i was able to make a deal with the dealership to fix those issues that he found on the vehicle before i purchased it. He also provided the inspection report promptly. All in all, my experience with inspectiver was very positive. Dabo was very friendly, professional, and his experience in talking about issues that he found on the vehicle was very helpful for my purchasing decisions. In addition, I feel like the price inspectiver charges for doing a pre-purchase inspection is quite reasonable. If i had to buy another vehicle, i would use inspectiver again.

I put a deposit down on a beautiful consigned $360K Ferrari. I requested service records and paid…read more$750 to a Ferrari service department for a PPI (so I could purchase an extended manufacturer warranty). The service records showed that the current owner had recently brought the vehicle to Ferrari due to a check engine light. An after-market exhaust had caused it. The owner had an OBD controller installed at that time -- no doubt to clear the "check engine" codes when it happened again. During my PPI, Ferrari service initially missed the exhaust, but then told me that it was still in place, along with an aftermarket suspension. These caused the vehicle to fail the inspection. Also, the car would have failed the state smog test. Motorenn's website states that they perform "an exhaustive 151 point inspection" on their vehicles -- yet they somehow "missed" major alterations, one of which would cause the car to fail a STATE inspection. They offered to replace the aftermarket parts if I purchased the vehicle. But I couldn't help but wonder -- what else hadn't I been told about the car? Motorenn knew or should have known about these alterations. I would never have paid for an inspection that was certain to fail. I requested that they reimburse me at least part of the $750; they refused. Needless to say, I did not purchase the vehicle and and don't recommend this company. Either they don't know the cars they're selling or...well, you know the rest.
