In all cases, California Detailing produced fantastic results that made the new cars look better than they were at dealer delivery and the well-used vehicles look as close to new as possible. For vehicles that we've subsequently sold, California Detailing's attentive work helped protect their resale value. Even when we don't have big jobs pending, we drop by their shop a few times a year for installation inspections and touch-ups (no charge during PPF or ceramic coating warranty period). In addition to being skilled professionals, California Detailing also have great customer service that easily makes my family and me feel at home during our visits. This review is long overdue so, let's start off with the TL;DR version for MCAR PPF: the experience…read morewas great from the very beginning, starting with the initial interaction with Mayza, to Neto completing the full-frontal pre-cut PPF and inspection. Overall, a very pleasant experience that I would not mind repeating! Now, the long version: recently bought a brand new Mazda 3 and I wanted to keep the car for a long time. Heard a lot of rumblings about the paint being very thin and that PPF would be highly recommended in order to preserve it and prevent rock chips. Browsed around on Yelp to see if there were any local PPF shops to alleviate this concern. A few shops responded, but Mayza from MCAR was one of the first and most diligent around. Her patience and explanations helped ease my concerns, and there was absolutely no pressure. She quoted the job accordingly, which was quite fair, given what others seemed to be charging, and all the pieces starting falling into place. Next thing you know, I had an appointment to get the PPF installed on the weekend. Multiple texts were sent to confirm the appointment, along with reminders as the day came closer. Location was one of the key factors in choosing MCAR, as they are located very close to public transportation and in an area that's easily accessible - they're located behind the old SF Honda dealership. Showed up bright and early on a Saturday morning right when Neto and his team was opening up the shop, and was checked in within a few minutes. Neto did ask if I wanted anything additional done, but I told him that a full-frontal pre-cut PPF was all my budget allowed at the moment. No pressure on additional services and my car was taken in to be worked on after our initial conversation. The PPF installation was brilliant after I picked up my car, and it was completely transparent, virtually unnoticeable and clean. The job only took a day to complete as well since it was a pre-cut install. After the job was completed, Neto instructed no car washes for about 2 weeks, and to come back for a follow-up inspection. 2 weeks passed, and I had noticed that there was some peeling on one of the side mirrors. Brought the car back in for the inspection and explained the peeling on one side; Neto quickly brought the car in and reapplied new PPF within an hour. Professional and diligent all around. What's even more amazing is their work is backed by a 10-year warranty! Communication is always key and MCAR PPF definitely provided that. Neto and the team deserves all of the kudos for their work. All of the cars they work on are either upscale exotic cars, Teslas or luxury cars. My "casual" car was one of the few that wasn't incredibly expensive-looking, but there was no judgment. Had LLumar ceramic film installed on all of my brand-new car's windows in June. I let the film cure for a couple of weeks. Time passes, and on my back left window, I noticed a tiny bubble around what appeared to be lint trapped between the glass and the film. Thinking this would be covered under warranty as an installation flaw, I brought it back to Grizzly. The installer removed the film and located the "defect." It wasn't lint, but rather a deep scratch. The installer then claimed the scratch was already there when I brought the car in, said he "forgot" to tell me about it after the initial install, and claimed it must have come like that from the factory. He told me to take the car back to the dealership to get the glass replaced under warranty--and added that if I didn't get it replaced, / would have to pay them labor costs to reinstall the tint on that window. I brought the car back to the dealership. The master technician inspected it and confirmed the deep scratch was caused by a third party using a razor blade. The installer scratched my brand-new window during prep, didn't own up to his mistake, purposefully hid it from me, and then tried to charge me extra labor when I brought it to his attention. Unbelievable dishonesty. I will never step foot in this shop again.

We had ADS install a PPF wrap and ceramic coat on our brand newly built Porsche last year. Unfortunately, the workmanship has not held up. Multiple areas of the film are being lifted, separating and peeling. Edges were poorly trimmed, sections underneath are coming apart and there are exposed areas where the wrap was not properly applied. These issues weren't something we were nitpicking because they were actually pointed out. ADS did attempt to address some areas on the second visit, but when you are paying thousands for a professional PPF installation, the expectation is that it is done correctly the FIRST time. Having to return to fix basic installation problems should not be the standard. For a premium vehicle, this level of workmanship is unacceptable. When the latest issues were brought up ADS refused to stand by their work. So with other reputable shops available, I urge those looking to skip this one especially if you have a luxury or high end sports car. We ultimately found another shop that corrected the issues properly and stands behind their work.
