In a word - Delicious! However - for the rest of the story . . . I was amazed to hear not only that my house 10 minutes away was "Too FAR . . for delivery! But - Here is the kicker . . . My $100+ takeout order was missing one dinner, when the call was placed back to the restaurant they agreed to deliver it. After waiting over an hour the meal still Hadn't showed up. The manager got on the phone and quickly accused us of giving him the wrong address to our residence. Conversations quickly went south, especially when the manager insisted he placed several calls to the call back number. Further more the food sucked food to say the least. read more

Ok, so I go here quite a bit for pizza and apps. I really like the sauce on the pizza and love the soft crust. The staff is always willing to help you out if you want to change something on the menu, which is always nice. But I do have to talk about a few of the appetizers. The mozzarella sticks are always chewy, when they should be melting in my mouth. The chicken wings are completely awful. When I ordered them I actually bring them home and put them in the oven for 20 minutes to dry them out. The reason why is because if you ate them when ordered, the chicken is very rubbery. Also I have had the steak tip cesar salad, asked for the tips well done and they were raw in the middle. Hopefully they will be more consistent with the cooking like the way the waitstaff is always willing to make it happen. Need to step up your "A" game if you want to be competitive in this market, especially since there are a lot of restaurants around. read more

Sadly we will not be ordering again. For a few years now we've ordered 4-6 pizza's on a Saturday night quite often. Tonight we just ordered two pizza's, the pepperoni and mushroom pizza looked like it had fallen on the delivery driver's floor! $30. for two pizza's...seriously, you should take better care. I tried to call back twice to complain but no one answered. I know they have caller ID, I've stood at the podium when they are answering calls. Soooo...the first time we ordered delivery, I was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered the ravioli's and my husband ordered the chicken parm. He loved his dish. Me - not so much. The ricotta filling was flavorless and the pasta was over cooked BUT a few weeks prior, we had gone in and sat at the bar. The food was good. Good enough for a second chance and since we live within delivery distance, we gave it a shot. I was hell bent on never ordering again, based on my horrible ravioli experience and my husband was hell bent on convincing me to try something different. If he were writing this review, he would most definitely give the chicken parm a 5 star rating. And so it goes... we are now regular delivery customers and I must say that I am quite glad I gave into trying something other than the ravioli. Although this is a pizza joint, the haddock is delicious; both the baked and the fried. I have an EXTREME taste discrimination when it comes to fish and I would recommend their haddock miles beyond any local seafood restaurant. Their onion rings are the best around and they also make a killer steak and cheese sub. It's probably not easy to eff up a steak and cheese but theirs is pretty enjoyable. I am not a fan of their red sauce and if you are partial to a nice smooth tomato sauce, free of chunkiness, you probably will not care for it either. The sauce has its fair share of tomato chunks (and skin) and it is loaded with garlic. I am a lover of all things garlic but I'd rather not bite into a clove, thanks. The appetizers are all pretty standard; pub-style choices and are overall tasty. The chicken wings are notably large and quite good! Oddly, they have a small Greek menu and the pastichio is made with a melt-in-your-mouth bechamel over ziti and perfectly all-spice seasoned meat filling. Everyone I know who has tried the pizza, LOVES it. Personally, I prefer a thicker crust that doesn't flop when holding the slice. If you like to fold your pizza slices, this is your kind of pie! read more

I have been to this place twice. It is great for what it is - an inexpensive place to get a bite to eat in a casual atmosphere. I've had the Greek Salad, which was delicious. It's not an especially complicated salad, but every ingredient was FRESH and delicious - crisp lettuce, thin sliced red onion, crumbled feta, kalamata olives, tomatoes, cucumber, and toasted pita. Basic but the attention to the ingredients is what makes something simple really good. And the creamy Greek dressing was so yummy. We also ordered Chicken Parm and it came with three perfectly fried breasts of chicken (not patties, but actual thin sliced chicken breasts) and linguine with a zesty and garlicky chunky tomato sauce. It was covered in perfectly browned mozzarella cheese. It was delicious and my husband and I shared it and couldn't finish it! They have pizza, subs, salads, and pastas, so there is a lot to choose from. They also have some Greek specialties which I might try on a return trip. Since this is not a strictly eat-in restaurant, the service was okay, but not great. Our waitress was sweet but seemed inexperienced. She was happy to get us what we needed, but she wasn't exactly proactive about clearing our plates, wiping down the table between our salad and entree (and it needed it) or bringing extra napkins. But she was pleasant and brought us our food. If you don't expect 5 star service then you won't be disappointed! The food here is a definite step up from Dano's next door or other area sub and pizza shops. This is a much better option, in my opinion because of the quality and the selection. It might be a shade more expensive for the pasta, but it is WELL worth the two or three bucks extra for the quality and portion sizes, which seem to run big. We ate in the dining area, but there is an attractive bar at the other end of the restaurant with three large screen t.v.'s and several tables if you didn't want to belly up to the bar to eat. read more

I'm currently enjoying an order I had delivered and I believe I may have found a favorite. I can never decide what to order from where, but Plaistow Pizza Co. has a huge menu filled with great food. We got two subs and some fried cheese raviolis; delicious! Everything was wrapped and packed perfectly, and the delivery was very prompt. Great prices and great quality. My wife and I stopped in here last week for the first time since it changed from Primo Pasta. We were served by our waiter, Jesse, who was very friendly and informative. I had a delicious Guinness Draft they were serving for a very reasonable price, and we had fried chicken wings for an appetizer. They came out piping hot, and were very meaty and flavorfull. We both finally ended up getting turkey club sandwiches after changing our minds several times when looking at the full menu. We were not disappointed. Very good sandwiches. If you're gunna go, sit at the bar and stick with the bar food they can't mess up. If not, leave the parking lot and take a right into Danos - you can get better service and food for less. This is not the first time I've eaten here, but this is the last time. PPC can thank their substandard lunch staff for providing the biggest waste of time your money can buy! I do like one of the female bartenders, but that's about it. Today I ordered an unsweetened iced tea. 5-10 minutes later the waitress came back and said "your iced tea will be just a minute." Another few minutes later she came back to the table with an ice water and said "here you can have this for now" (we look at each other like, what? ok) and then another 10 minutes later came back and said, "I guess we're out of iced tea so...?" No apology or anything. I told her water was fine at this point I just want to place my order. So we place our orders and off she goes. Food comes out 15 minutes later. (we had to stop her to ask for ketchup and napkins because we had none at the table, and none was offered) I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. UGH gross. The chicken had zero seasoning, slapped on a bun with a mess of lettuce and tomato falling everywhere. I took two bites and resorted to the flavorless french fries instead. My boyfriend had a turkey club which he didn't really care for either. So he ate 1/4 of his. The other person we were with had a cheeseburger sub which he liked but did not get any fries or sides with. So we're done eating and have to stop her to get the bill. She did not visit at all during our meal (she must have been too busy with her TOTAL of 4 tables). She asks if we want to wrap anything up and we all say no with a not-so-pleased-get-me-the-eff-outta-here tone. She sees that I have literally taken 2 bites of my poor excuse for a lunch and says nothing. No concern at all. Clears the table and brings our check. The unsweetened iced tea is on the bill. Boyfriend asks her to take the tea off as we did not get one. When she comes back my boyfriend says (mind you we have not gotten a single apology or any warmth whatsoever from this lazy tired b*tchy lady who we are apparently inconveniencing with our patrongage), "I just want you to know, we have been here a couple times before and it was fine, tolerable, but this time was awful, and a waste of money. As far as service and quality of food is concerned I'm pretty disappointed. I work in a restaurant and I'm not usually one to complain but I needed you to know." She laughs/scoffs at him unphased and says OK and walks away! Brings back the slip for him to sign and says nothing. No manager, no "what can I do to make you happy," nothing. Really? Second time I had been there was last night. First time was for lunch, expected more, much more. The waitress we had in the lounge for lunch was a younger woman with long, dark hair. She was one of the rudest servers I have ever met. We had asked to substitute a turkey club for a cheeseburger club. She gave us a dirty look and quickly replied with a stern "NO". A good server would have said something along the lines of, "I'm not sure but let me check on that for you". My friend then asked for a simple substitution on a salad. Again, "NO". She acted as if we were bothering her by being there. I swore I would never go back...... Last night, STARVING, 3 of my friends and I walk into the lounge and sit in a booth. I saw a different server/bartender and was happy, thinking that our experience might be a good one this time. This server had the personality of a doorknob. We ordered an app, it was great. We ordered dinner, all of my friends ordered meals that were OVER $15.00 per meal. I tested her and asked if the kitchen would do a cheeseburger club. At least she went and asked the chef... She said that they would. It came out as a cheeseburger on white toasted bread, not cut and with only one burger. Highly disappointing. She also acted as if we were bothering her. If you don't want to be in the hospitality business then don't work at a restaurant. If you work for your tips, don't treat people like shit. It's a good thing that my friend payed wiht his credit card because if I had paid, her tip would have been shit, just like her attitude! While the others enjoyed their food, the meals were great and the portions were huge, it all goes down the toilet when your server acts like you're an inconvenience to her. I will NEVER return and I will tell everyone I know NOT to go there simply because the service SUCKS! read more

I had been looking for a really good place for salads. I recently moved to the area and had to have a grilled chicken kabob salad. I was working the counter at the Irving gas station (literally 5 minutes down the street) and one of their drivers had come in. I noticed he was wearing the company's shirt and asked him a few questions regarding salads. He told me that they had excellent salads so later that evening I called to order their kabob salad. Saying that I was impressed wouldn't quite cover it. My palate was pleasantly satisfied! I almost always had the same driver each time I ordered and rewarded him with a very nice tip... I highly recommend the PPC and would give it more stars if it would let me. read more

Food is sub par. Very expensive and takes forever. I called for a pickup order. Just under $35 for a large sub, bowl of chowder and a salad?! That's highway robbery. Then I'm told it's gonna be about 35 minutes just to pick it up, not have it delivered. 35 minutes for a sub, salad, and chowder? I understand they get busy but that's just insane. Parking is an absolute nightmare! When I pulled in there was 3 cars that were trying to leave, the way the parking lot is set up I was forced to go to the left because there's only enough room for 1 car at a time to get in and park. When I pulled to the left there was no open spots and the 3 cars pulled up behind me to leave. I put my car and reverse to try and back up but couldn't because no one could move. I had to leave the parking lot, cross 3 lanes of traffic and make 2 u-turns to get back into the parking lot. Just to pick up my food. Unacceptable! Won't be coming back read more

I will never go here again!!!!! I didn't even want to get them one star but in order to write a review you have to put a minimum of one star. The bartender was extremely rude and disrespectful. There is nothing I hate more than someone who insults you in a calm tone and a smile on their face hoping that your too stupid to realize that they just disrespect you. If this company doesn't fire her then they clearly don't value good customer service and they will eventually go out of business. 6/21/15 (delivery - 10 minutes away with traffic): Large Mac & Cheese Pizza: Very greasy; missing mac; room temp when received. Fisherman's Catch (a Plaistow Pizza specialty): Very greasy; two small pieces of haddock; three small shrimp; 2/3 small scallops. Haddock ok but greasy. Shrimp and scallops - too small - breading not good. Fries were inedible greasy outside and very dry inside - like freezer burn. Cold coleslaw was placed in container on top of hot fries - made coleslaw gross. $45 + tip to driver. Our last experience (months ago) was just ok. This experience has turned us off to Plaistow Pizza Company; very disappointing; not recommended. read more

This place has been going downhill the last 2 months. We have ordered here once a week at least for the last 3 years and over the last 6 weeks or so we have noticed a change. When we order delivery the pizza doesnt even look like a pizza anymore by the time it gets here and the food is only "luke warm" at best. When ordering a simple Steak & cheese there always seems to be some peppers or mushrooms floating around in the sub which i did not ask for....The customer service is also bad now too, it seems no one is informed on anything now. I know they had a change in ownership about a year ago or so but im not sure if anything has changed to cause this. I let it gothe 1st and 2nd time, thinking they cant be perfect all the time, but now it has seem to be the norm that i find something not satisfying each time we eat here. I do have to say they have the best chicken wings around and i will miss them....... read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants but I have to admit they have the worst customer service when it comes to deliveries I used to order from them almost weekly because I work right down the street, then I stopped because after getting my order wrong 5 separate times, it wasn't worth it for me. Then I figured I'd give them a try again a month later and still the same issue how hard is it to repeat back an order to the customer on the phone to make sure it's correct?? Or offer a free soda & an apology when I have to wait an hour to eat.. Or better yet, the one time I had to go pick it up because it was wrong && by the time they remade it my store was closed. It's the little things, and I LOVE there food but I hate that they don't care about their customers, sorry I'll bring my business else wear! If you want delivery, don't even bother! But if you're just looking to dine in & get drinks, I would highly recommend. read more
