I got an Iced Ube Latte & it did not stand a chance against me. I fell in love at the first sip. It wasn't overpowering with sweetness, just right, however, the Ube flavor was definitely present! And the Ube tasted REAL, not the artificial stuff (not sure if it was artificial or not, and if it was artificially flavored, they did amazing). I can't wait to be back to try their pastries/sweets. Unfortunately I came near to closing, so of course they were out of pastries -- my fault.

Sesame can be a strong flavor, but I still tasted the coffee (probably because of how many espresso shots it had as a large). The interior is beautifully decorated just like their Danville location, especially the wall of plants. I also love the quiet room tucked away at the back near the bathroom, more speakeasy vibes. When we opened one of the boxes, it looked like our food had lost a fight with a tumble dryer. The presentation was so rough that we genuinely laughed because we couldn't believe it was being served that way. Good coffee and food can be forgiven for an occasional mistake, but poor customer service is much harder to overlook. Hopefully this was just an off day, because a little friendliness and a lot less attitude would go a long way.

I was also amazed that they go by cups--we got a lot for the large cups, which felt like great value! I did want to share a small piece of feedback about our recent visit. In the past, water was available in small jars, but now it's set up in a larger dispenser. After ordering ice cream, we went to grab some water, but it had run out. I let the staff member in front know, and she kindly explained that they were out, which I completely understood. However, another staff member suddenly commented that there was no water and that if I wanted some, I should buy and pay for it. It was a bit surprising--not because of the policy, but because of the tone, which came across as a bit harsh. Maybe she was just having a bad day, which I can understand, but the delivery didn't feel very welcoming. I want to emphasize that I have no issue paying for water at all; in fact, I planned to go back to the car after ice cream to get water since we parked nearby. It was just the way it was said that didn't sit well. I didn't say anything at the moment since I understand everyone can have off days, but I do think consistency in how customers are spoken to is important--others might not take that tone as lightly. When I sat down, another staff member came over and offered my family water. If you happen to read this--thank you. Your kindness really meant a lot to us. The overall effect was like eating a piece of cake that had fallen in a puddle of milk - with dried leaves in the icing. I had three bites and then told them guy behind the counter that it had no flavor and all he could offer was "I'm sorry". For $8 and no offer to make it right, it was a really bad experience and I would never go there again.
