Pins colada dream

I have tried their coffee cart about three or four times now and it's been kinda hit or miss. The first drink I tried was their lavender latte which was the perfect sweetness, but when I tried their ube horchata drink last month it was sickly sweet to me.This season I tried their pineapple pina colada drink and it's really refreshing but I was hoping for little chunks of pineapple or something that tasted less like yakult and more like pineapple. The staff is always really sweet and their truck, cups and their aesthetic is always really cute. I will keep going whenever I have time, but maybe I think I'll try to ask more questions about the sweetness level next time I go.

Luv U So Matcha -- Strawberry Oat Milk pressed into matcha with a cold foam

I found out about this traveling cafe truck through my jobs' weekly emails that notify us of what vendors are visiting. I was excited to try out because I love matcha AND enjoy exploring new coffee shops. This little trailer was cute and sweetly set-up right outside the Kaiser Martinez building on a Thursday morning. The employee email ad mentioned that you can pre-order which I completed the night before on IG. I arrived 4min before my order should've been ready but there was a line of about 4 people and it was not moving. Me getting anxious to arrive to work on time. I asked the pick-up window if I should wait in line for a pre-order since I still needed to pay. She confirmed my name, order, and asked me to stay in line to pay. It was already 4min pass my pick up time (which I set-up to be ready 15min before my shift started so I still had time). The cashier finished up with the customer order he was taking and immediately helped out the barista with 3 drinks so she can stay somewhat on track with my pre-order. My coworker got the hot hazelnuts latte with almond milk and said it was a good amount of sweet. She loved hers. 3/5 - Personally, I loved the fresh strawberry compote mixed into my Luz U So Matcha drink! Strawberries are in season. But I was disappointed with how watered down it tasted. I also asked for light ice but could barely taste the matcha or the oat milk after I mixed it. The sweetness wasn't there at all. Basically tasted like water. I'd try another drink again because the place looks good but maybe set up a pre-order for 30min before my shift begins..I don't know. IG: _rocco_cafe_

I was driving by as saw a huge flag that said coffee. I decided to give it a try. It's a little trailer. I was pleasantly surprised with all the options. They definitely had very fun options unlike other chain places. The service was top tier. They take their time explain everything give you suggestions and are just very nice. I met the owners that day they were amazing. I ordered a churro latte absolutely delicious highly recommend. I am definitely returning and telling all my friends. Highly recommend this is a must try if you're in the east bay. She has her ig page that tells you where they will be at.

Since Rocco Cafe been coming to our workplace weekly, I try to support them as much as I can! They have a lot of yummy drinks, I've been trying to try them all. So far, every drink I've tried has been good (not pictured, hot sweetened matcha.) They also have pastries from Branch Out Bakery and their coffee with Nutella muffin is delicious! Because they're a local coffee truck, wait times are expected because of how small they are- sometimes there's just two of them right now. I personally try to place my preorder hours before, when I know I won't be in a rush to receive my drink and it's worth it every time. Hoping they continue to come to our workplace weekly! Always something to look forward to during the week.

Love Rocco's! Drinks are always top tier, its hard to pick a favorite but you have to try the churro latte. The owners are so sweet. Highly recommend!

churro latte with oat milk

highlight of the farmer's market!! this cafe on wheels is run by the sweetest family, and the drinks are exceptional. I've tried the churro latte and la flaca so far which were both delicious! with seasonal menu options and friendly service, rocco's definitely brings a coffee shop ambiance to the farmer's market and always has me leaving with a smile. :)

The yams were outstanding, the oxtails really hit the spot, and my grandson absolutely loved his lemon pepper chicken wings. The service was excellent, and I had a nice conversation with the owner, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance was calm, quiet, and very welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the turkey wings next time!

It's a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with just a few tables inside, but it has a cozy, welcoming feel. We ordered the chicken wings and catfish. While the prices are a little on the higher side, I do like that each entrée comes with two sides, which makes it feel like a complete meal. We chose the collard greens, mac and cheese, and rice and beans. The chicken wings were definitely the highlight for me! They were made fresh to order, nice and crispy, and the wings were a great size. The collard greens were also delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. For dessert, I tried the banana pudding. It was really good, although I thought it was a bit pricey for a single serving. Overall, everything tasted fresh, and you could tell it was made to order. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely be coming back for the chicken wings and collard greens.

I came to the Oakley Food truck event especially to get some lumpia as we were craving some lumpia…read moreand I was too lazy to make or fry them. I ordered 2 plates( a dozen each plate- have a big family) and it was your average lumpia. In fact, it tastes exactly like the frozen Shanghai lumpia you can get at Asian grocery stores and some American grocery stores which I have in my freezers. These are about 16.00 for a package ( forget if it is for 35 or quantity of 50). I paid here 16.00 for a dozen. One customer had complained theirs was still pink and not fully cooked. Mine were cooked fine. So this so far was good. The rest of the plates were not good at all. Chicken adobo was too overcooked that it was shreds of chicken and pieces of ground bones. No substantial pieces of meat at all just shreds. Rice was horrible because it was a mixture of undercooked rice still dry and hard and almost raw mixed with way over cooked mushy rice like congee( rice porridge). They had a big rice pot and the only thing I could think of is they maybe mixed the raw rice with the overcooked rice maybe to keep warm. I would suggest having more than one rice pot. The chicken adobo was lacking soy sauce and vinegar taste and too watery instead of saucy. Pancit was disappointing as well. It lacked flavor, meat vegetables- it was watery for some reason. It had mainly diced green onions.I had to add soy sauce, a bit of salt and lemon to make it even a little close to resembling pancit. Basically it was just plain boiled rice stick( bihon noodles) lacking flavor. I would suggest to the owner to add more slices of carrots and celery( maybe cabbage to extend it) chicken, soy sauce, salt and serve with wedges of lemon. This can be cooked ahead the day before and still tastes fine serving the next day( I cook it for parties). So have that done already so saves time and you can focus on the other food. They were overwhelmed by the long lines I think. A lot of these can be cooked ahead so when it gets overwhelming you have something to fall back on and cook the rest fresh. It was a 30 minute wait as it is. Then if that wasn't enough, they put my order of 4 containers in a DIAPER box!!! It was dark and I couldn't see the box as I was carrying it and my daughter saw and mentioned it- EEWWW!!! Gross! Lumpia gets a 3 star and the rest of the foods was a 1 star, so averages 1.6 so gave them 2 stars for them overall. This was not worth the wait or the 60.00 plus ( not including the tip which was on top of that amount).

We ordered 6 asada street tacos and 2 churros =$32.00. Okay a bit expensive for my taste, but combine waiting 42 minutes in cold damp weather (47 degrees) and just 3 people in front of us, who had already ordered & were WAITING too for their food, = an overall BAD first time experience. I don't wait that long in a sit down restaurant! The tacos tasted good, but they were very small. The churros tasted like deep fried oil and barely had cinnamon & sugar sprinkled on them. I still will try food truck venue when I see them in my neighborhood because I like supporting local vendors, but won't order from Mestizo's ever again. I could have forgiven the price if the service had been quick.

There were tables and chairs in the area so you could sit, eat and enjoy your meal...even do a little people watching lol. I walked around to all the Food Trucks present and decided on this one. The young lady at the order window was very polite, helpful and she greeted me with a smile. I'm a Type 2 Diabetic and I have a lot of food allergies so, I have to be careful what I eat. She seemed to understand and happy to answer the questions I had about their Barbeque Tri Tip Sandwich. I had Tri Tip Friday in Brentwood at the Juneteenth Celebration in Brentwood CA - Made by Dad's Barbecue, I waited eman excess of 35 minutes for my order. It had very little meat cut in strips, most was gristle and it was tough like jerky!! My wait at Loretta's Kitchen Food Truck was very minimal @ 8 mins max. Loretta's Kitchen puts Dad's Barbecue to shame!!!! My Tri Tip Sandwich from Loretta's Kitchen was on a Large nicely grilled Sesame Hamburger Bun. It came with Thinly sliced Tri Tip, Colby Jack Cheese and Barbecue sauce which I had on the side, until I was sure I could handle it. The Tri Tip was well seasoned, lean, gristle free and super tender!!!!! It was Fresh, Delicious and very filling. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Loretta's Kitchen for a pleasant 1st time experience with your Food Truck, I'd highly recommend them. No more Dad's Barbecue for me!!!!! I'll be following Loretta's Kitchen indeed.. P.S.
