Recreation at their Salinas location. I was quite pleased with both the quality of this product and the service I received. True, the ARE shells are expensive, but they are competitively priced in comparison to other high end camper shells (e.g. Leer.) And equally important was the the sense I got that both ARE and S.C.A.T.T will stand behind their product. I confidently recommend S.C.A.T.T. Recreation if you are in the market for a camper shell.

My appointment was at 10:30 AM, and while I was there, I also asked about upgrading my existing (fanless) roof vent to one with a fan and rain guard. They had one in stock, so I went ahead with it. The team told me they would handle everything and give me a call when it was ready. By 1:00 PM the same day, I got the call that all the work was done--super fast turnaround. They also sent me a text with photos of the repairs and a video showing the new fan working, which I really appreciated. When I got the RV home and checked everything out, all the work was completed properly and working perfectly. Overall, this was a great experience. And when you try to call and talk to them about the situation, they will hang up on you and not answer your calls, And the very ignorant lady in the office will sit there and try to talk over you the entire time. We should've known from the get-go because of how the rental started already the AC and the generator were not working so they sent my mom to the shop with the RV and had her sit there for several hours while they fixed it. We left on our trip and packed our food for our camping voyage and lo and behold we get there and the refrigerator has completely stopped working and our food has gone bad. We received the rental right after someone else and they did not dump the sewage and it backed up into the trailer. We also had no luck with taking a shower because the shower started flooding out out of the bottom The trailer into the storage area, where it completely soaked all of our things that we had stored. Forget trying to use the awning wouldn't even go out a quarter of the way. And when you return it and tell them about all these issues, they will tell you nothing about discounts or how sorry they were or anything. They will just charge you for running the generator longer because on the form it says you need to run the generator to get the battery charged enough to run the refrigerator so that that's what we tried to do And apparently, we ran the generator too long because they charged us for extra hours . Never ever ever rent from this place zero Customer Service. They just want people to rent from them so they can get their trailers fixed through other people's insurance. Would never recommend them to anyone . There were no broken pieces inside of the RV when returned so that doesn't make any sense. The actual Renter is my mother and my stepfather who I accompanied on this trip. And yes, things got heated on the phone call when I kept trying to speak and was being spoken over. When trying to voice my concerns and feelings they would just talk louder . Still zero accountability for all of the problems that we had with the RV.

The Service Team responded to our concerns and took the time to understand what had happened. What impressed us was their approach to the problem. The initial conversations, the in-person diagnosis and the investigative work, helped us understand the real cause of the electrical problem. They remained focused on figuring out what was happening and getting us back on the road. As it turned out, the electrical issue originated with our home electrical connection and was something I had overlooked as a new RV owner. Throughout the process, Jennifer and her service technician, Pete, were patient, professional, and genuinely focused on helping us understand the issue and resolve it. Jennifer and Pete went above and beyond. What stood out to us is that Happy Daze isn't simply a dealership that sold us a product. Their service after the sale gave us something equally important as new RV owners--peace of mind and trust that we have people we can turn to when we need help. There is a lot to learn when purchasing your first travel trailer, and having a service team willing to investigate a problem, explain what happened, and help you through it makes a tremendous difference. Thank you to Jennifer, Pete, and the Happy Daze RV Gilroy Service Team for taking care of us and providing amazing customer service. You earned our trust, and that means a lot to us as new RV owners. My wife and I were doing more dry camping than we expected, and the all-electric fridge always drained the batteries in a day or two, even in the sun. We upgraded the system from 1 solar panels to 3, swapped the two lead-acid AGM batteries to two 300Ah lithium batteries housed in a new angular steel battery box behind the propane tanks by the hitch, added a disconnect switch in the battery box, upgraded the 30A solar controller to a 50A model, and added a soft-start to the AC so that my external Honda EU2200i generator can power the AC all by itself without bogging down. This was no small job! I have an electrical engineering background so I could keep up with them on the theory, but I was very happy leaving the actual install work to the experts so that it looks professional and stays dependable. I always felt like I was in good hands. We're camping in Mendocino now and very happy with the results.

My husband and I visited Camping World in Morgan Hill today because we're seriously interested in…read morepurchasing an RV. Unfortunately, our experience was so disappointing that we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. When we arrived, we explained to the receptionist that our daughter had just called and needed to be picked up from work, so we only had about 25-30 minutes to look at a few RVs and compare layouts. We were initially told it was optional to leave our ID and contact information. We politely declined, but after that, the salesperson's attitude noticeably changed. We eventually agreed to provide our names and phone number, but he already seemed frustrated that he had to assist us. Throughout the tour, my husband asked several basic questions about the differences between layouts, sizes, and RV brands. Instead of providing helpful information, the salesperson repeatedly responded with comments like, "They're all the same," and often ignored questions altogether. It became so uncomfortable that I told my husband in Spanish that I felt we should leave because the salesperson appeared irritated and unwilling to help us. The situation escalated when my husband asked one final question about the differences between two groups of RVs. The salesperson became confrontational and told us we were "wasting his time" because there were "paying customers" in the office who were actually interested in buying. That comment was extremely insulting. We came to Camping World because we are interested in purchasing an RV. No customer should be judged based on how much time they spend looking or whether they immediately disclose their purchasing plans. We asked to speak with a manager. The salesperson went to get him while loudly telling his version of the story to him first. Manager Eric Boyd (had no badges claiming he was infact the manager ) he spoke with us. I asked if we could discuss the matter privately, but instead we were taken to a table in the front office where employees, including the salesperson, could still hear our conversation, despite there appearing to be a private office available. I explained everything that had happened and expressed how disrespectfully we had been treated. I was disappointed that the manager never said that the employee's behavior was unacceptable or would be addressed. I had to tell him several times to please address the situation with this employee which was walking around us so casually like he did nothing wrong , that lack of accountability to have his employee do such thing and not apologize was just as upsetting as the salesperson's conduct. I left feeling that we had been judged before we were ever given a chance as customers. While I can't know exactly why we were treated this way, the experience left me feeling as though we may have been unfairly profiled based on appearances rather than treated like potential customers. Buying an RV is a major investment, and every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of whether they're browsing, asking questions, or ready to buy that day. Unfortunately, our family did not receive that respect, and because of this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere.

We bought a new Coachman travel trailer this month from John. After a year of research and dialing…read morein exactly the trailer that met our needs, we found inventory in Los Banos and set up an appointment to see the trailer. First meeting was good, friendly, and confirmed what we were hoping to find with the trailer we had researched. John was courteous during this interaction and drove us around the lot answering questions. We appreciated that he didn't try to upsell us on other inventory that didn't meet the specifications we had been looking for. By the time we left, we placed a deposit on the trailer to go home and sleep on it. John handled some of the DMV paperwork over the phone and via text to streamline the process when we arrived for pickup. We agreed on final configuration including a lithium battery to be able to dry camp for multiple days running our fridge and basic power. Assuming the vendor whose sole purpose is selling RVs to people knew exactly how to outfit an RV electrical system, we didn't ask a lot of questions or do the electrical homework ourselves before delivery. Looking back, this was a huge error. Our first night home the trailer had no battery power. Hours later and many phone calls to Forest River roadside assistance, we discovered the tech who had inspected our trailer when we picked it up blew a fuse and never verified that the battery actually worked. Strike one. A quick trip to an auto store got us replacement fuses and we were able to charge up at home before our first trip. Much later, John finally texted back "XXXX showed you the battery disconnect switch?" Irrelevant and too late. First day we take the trailer out, we noticed the toilet bowl was full. That was a fun find. Dirty footprints all over the toilet and flush pedal, and a bowl full of pee? Strike two. By the second day of our trip, we had lost battery power and the fridge turned off while we were out hiking. Coming back to spoiled food and a thawed freezer at a remote site in the mountains was unpleasant. We diagnosed the entire electrical system to learn that they sold us a 100Ah battery at 100% price markup to run a fridge, which was never going to be possible. Strike three.
