Uriel was a great find. He understood exactly what my concerns were. He called today (day early) and came to check my new fifth wheel. He was courteous, efficient and affordable. He answered all my questions in language I could easily understand. Thx for a job well done. read more

Second to none! Uriel Chavez helped us in a pinch. Uriel helped us re-connect wiring for the umbilical cord between our 5th wheel and the truck. I messed up and pulled away with it connected, yes, my bad. He talked me through re-connecting the wires and in 15minutes we were ready to leave Yanks RV for our next stop. Uriel is an upstanding person and he know's his profession. We were lucky that he made the time to help us as he was preparing to leave for his own vacation! The relief that I felt when he called back---even though he was preparing for his own family trip, can't be matched. Thank you Uriel and family! read more

Fast, effective. Got ten things done in a. Couple of hours! Will use again. Don't let the location fool you.

This repair shop is the best in the state! I have a R-Pod that had some all issues and Uriel(the owner) walked me through the issues and saved me a great deal of money. He is honest and trustworthy! He puts you the customer first. Its the only repair shop I will take my camper, and have been going to Chavez RV for 6 years! read more

Have brought my Rv here for several issues. Uriel the owner is very good at what he does and his prices are very fair. In Monterey county this is the go to place for any Rv related issue. I know several people who take their rv's here and all agree this is the best place to go. read more

Honest family business. I called with a macerator problem. Having been quoted over the phone in the hundreds, I thought I'd just get a diagnostic from Chavez RV. They solved the problem and explained what caused it. I highly recommend them, and may God bless them. read more

I have had the unfortunate need to use Chavez RV twice will passing through the area. Last February a slide cable broke on my fifth wheel. I stopped at another shop and they diagnosed the issue but said they would need to order parts. Even after multiple calls from San Benito and one drive back to the shop they never called with status. I happened to see Uriel and his son driving through the campground and flagged them down. They came over to my unit to see for themselves and two days later they had the repair completed at a fair price. This week I was driving through Morgan Hill and my trailer brakes failed due to the brake away controller failing. I spent two days trying to find someone local to look at it with no success. it was then I remember Chavez RV was in Salinas. I called Thursday morning and they made it to my location in the afternoon to diagnose the issues. Uriel said he would have the parts Friday but had another job to do that day and would not be able to get back until Monday to complete the repair. Friday he called me and said he would be there by noon. Uriel and his soon are great and this time I am keeping his information for any future disasters. Thank You read more

Uriel and his son Miguel are very professional. They came to our campsite and fixed a water leak for us. Their prices are very competitive, they are very friendly, and they had us back to vacationing quickly! read more

My husband, daughters and I have been on a road trip for over a month now and we all of a sudden had an issue with a slideout on our RV on the morning we were leaving Monterey. We called a few mobile RV repair places, so were not in service, some were overbooked due to the times and COVID-19. We called and talked to the owner of Chavez RV and he was super helpful and made an appointment to see us the next day. He did everything he could, until we figured we had to remove the slide to go any further with the repair. He helped us find a temporary fix so that we could continue our trip and for that we are super thankful! He was very helpful, attentive to our needs and understanding. Most of all he was very accommodating. read more

Best ever. He came right out, assessed what my refrigerator needed, ordered the part and then fixed it, professionally and expeditiously. I highly recommended Chavez RV for any problem you have with your RV or trailer. read more

Bought a new Forest River Travel Trailer, and when we arrived in the Salinas/Monterey KOA in Prunedale, we developed a pretty substantial leak below the sink. I asked the main office for a recommendation for service, and they referred me to Chavez RV out of Salinas. I called, and the owner, Uriel, told me that he was booked all day but that if I could hang by the phone, he would try to work us in. He called about an hour later to tell me he was on the way! Uriel and his son, Miguel, were quick, informative, friendly, and efficient. They actually spent more time giving us information about our pressure regulator and tips for working with family than they did fixing the leak! Their price was less than what we expected to pay for a service call fee, let alone for a full repair, and we could not be more pleased. Trust Chavez RV to do a great job at a fair price all with a big smile and friendly conversation! read more

We pulled into Marina Dunes RV park with a problem with one of the slides on our 5th wheel. The recommended repair service wasn't available for 3 days. Called Chavez, he was there in 30 minutes and had the issue resolved in about 30 more minutes. One of the brackets on the slide track had lost 2 bolts and the whole slide was off track, wouldn't open or close fully. Fix was fast, less expensive than I expected, and he was super friendly. Saved the rest of our trip! Thank You!!!! read more

We had damage to our trailer power tongue jack on our recent camping trip. The trailer jumped off of the ball hitch and fell to the ground. I called Uriel Chavez and he promptly set up an appointment to come out to look at it in the storage area where it is located. Uriel called me the morning of the appointment and we arranged a time to meet. Uriel showed up right on time along with his son who works alongside Uriel. Uriel was very professional and he explained everything that needed to be done. He and his son removed the existing trailer jack and were able to repair the damage and reinstall the jack right there at the storage location. The price was very reasonable for a mobile repair and the work was done efficiently and safely. I highly recommend Uriel Chavez for any work that you might need. I will definitely use his service for future work. read more

Had pulled into Marina Dunes RV Park. Our jack wouldn't work. We couldn't get it off of the hitch. We were helped by the staff at the park getting it off of the hitch. Chavez Mobile RV Repair was recommended to us. The next day I called him and he told us between 11:00 and 12:00 he would be there. He arrived a half hour early. Mr. Chavez took the electrical jack apart and had it fixed in about 30 minutes. The jack worked perfect! He also showed me a few things about the jack that I didn't know. What an amazing and good person! The cost was fantastic! It would have probably cost us 3 times the amount that he charged. Thanks for making the rest of our vacation smooth and easy!! If you are in the area and need help with your RV give them a call. You won't be disappointed. read more

I called Chavez Mobile Repair on Wed. His voice mail was full so I sent him a text message. First thing Thursday morning he called me I explained that I believed my water pump was bad. I explained that the power was lighting up but the pump wasn't turning on. We then did a facetime and he said he could order the pump and replace it late Friday. Friday about 12:00 noon he called and said he would be out to my campsite in 20 minutes. He showed up with his son and the 2 of them replaced my pump in about an hour. They were both awesome, very professional and very personable! I am recently retired and have had many repair men over the years Uriel was one of the best ever! Thanks so much for such great service! This review is about a month late... I have two RVs here in Monterey. One is about 6 months old and the other is 7 years old. I had a black tank failure on the new RV, I was pointed to Uriel for the repair. Since we are living full time in the RV, he performed a temp repair on site, then ordered a new tank through Keystone. When the new tank was delivered, he came back out to repair on site....All was good, but the on repair site was not ideal, which we developed another black tank leak. It progressed to a mess. He asked us to let him have it for 5 days and he would make it right. We dropped it off, got a hotel room, and he replaced the black tank again and did a fabulous job. All the paperwork provided allowed us to collect on a warranty claim from Keystone. Thanks Uriel. On our older RV, he replaced the toilet, same day...quick, professional, and clean. Cale read more

We we camping at the Santa Cruz KOA in our new to us travel trailer. The heater stopped working in the middle of the night. With two small kids and a wife who prefers a high end resort over camping, it was imperative that I get it fixed; and fast! I called Bill Grey mobile RV about 7:30 and I must have awoken Mr. Grey's wife. She asked that I call back in an hour. In the meantime, I called Chavez RV as he had an add in the KOA brochure that I saw after checking yelp. He answered and was at our site in about an hour. He was courteous, professional and completed the job which saved our vacation. Thank you Mr. Uriel Chavez! read more

Chavez RV is the place to go for repairs! He was so flexible with seeing us and replacing a leveler jack. We came from Sacramento to have him replace the jack - no one wanted to do it there. He is a complete professional, knows just what to do. He had us back on our way in a couple hours. Gave us instructions on how to set it and took the time to make sure we understood. Very nice guy and professional service. We'd travel a long way to have him service the rv because he is that good! read more

Total lifesaver. We had a worn out power cable to our trailer, had to stop over in Greenfield until we could get it repaired. Our roadside service couldn't find anyone to do it until Monday ; the front desk at the RV park suggested Uriel. He was here within an hour, replaced the cable, and then figured out we had a bad fuse in our SUV. He was super friendly, quick with his work, and wouldn't leave until we were all set. Really glad we found him! read more

Had an appointment set for three days, for an emergency plumbing repair to our water tank. Chavez cancels on me the morning of the job. No call, I had to call him to get the bad news. Poor customer service canceling last minute and leaving me high and dry. I do not recommend. read more

Coming in from So Cal to Moss Landing. We lost our trailer breaks. We made a few phone calls. And no one would come and help us. We asked for a recommendation and we were given Uriel ( Chavez RV repair ) number. He said he would be out the next day. He was here first thing in the morning. A break line broke and he replaced it in no time. He was very reasonable in price, since he came to our camp spot. Loved him. read more

While visiting Moss Landing, our RV's shower faucet busted, so we contacted Chavez RV. Uriel Chavez said he could come to our campsite the next morning. He called this morning to advise about arrival time. Appreciated his good communication. He provided an upgraded faucet, and was speedy about the installation. Very, very happy with the experience, and would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Chavez! Five Stars! :-)) read more

I've been to Chavez RV on multiple occasions, and they always have done a quality job & always been honest with me.

Horrible! They charged us $3000 to completely re-roof our 5th wheel about 3or 4 years ago. Roof tore off while we were on our way for our vacation. A roof should have lasted much longer, especially since we keep our rig covered while not in use! Worthless...we need it re-roofed again! read more

Lifesaver is a good description. His work was high quality and made my RV better than factory issue. He knew I was traveling and helped me get back on the road quickly. He was easy to work with and reasonably priced. While my repair didn't require parts to be shipped in, I'd encourage travelers to work with this small business. read more
