I called this company and they answered right away. I waited literally a few minutes and the driver, Jeremy, pulled up and hooked my car. I was only going up the street but he recommended a mechanic shop that wasn't far from their location. It was only a few dollars more for the tow to the mechanic. Jeremy was great! He was polite and friendly. Once he got to the mechanic shop he sent a text with the picture of the location of my keys and reminded me to call the shop when they opened at 8. A couple of months ago, I got a flat tire on the highway and Powers Towing came to tow my car to a tire shop. In doing so, they hooked the tow cable to the inner tie rod on my drivers' side front tire and bent it. I needed to have the entire power steering assembling replaced, which ended up costing over $3 K to fix - $500 by me and the rest by my insurance company. I sent several emails (with pictures of the damage) to the company and left several messages with an associate to have a manager call me back. None of my messages was ever returned. read more

I'll try to keep this as short as possible dispatcher answered my phone call was very very polite and understanding. My truck broke down on the expressway, to where I was forced to use my AAA service for the first time, going through AAA was the worst experience I have ever had my truck broke down at 4:00 PM. The first driver who called me was from a third-party service, and the man told me he was not able to pick me up because my truck was stranded on the shoulder of the expressway, and it was too dangerous, that's where I got in contact with AAA again. They said they were sending a second person. The second person never called or showed. I'm assuming he was also from a third-party service waited another two hours for third person after dealing with AAA agents who kept telling me they would find somebody to come pick me up that I would just have to wait another hour to hour and a half. I waited and waited till 8 o'clock nobody ever came. I thought maybe the third time would be the charm. After getting impatient, I was forced to take a risk of taking the nearest exit, hoping that I didn't cause an accident and hoping that my front driver side tire would not fall off me thinking that it was something with the axle. Long story short I made it off the exit ramp and to the nearest gas station where I ended up calling the closest tow company near me, which was Powers 24 hours towing . as soon as I made contact with their dispatcher, she was so polite and understanding and worked in a very professional manner to get a driver to come to my aid. I did end up canceling the tow, because finally a fourth person who was sent through AAA made contact with me and told me they were five minutes away, actually called me and stayed on the phone with me. . Though I still give this company the props that they deserve because when I called and canceled, the lady was not bothered at all she was just happy that somebody was coming to my aid, so I just wanna give a shout out to this company and say that their customer service was amazing and that the person I talk to was very nice and understanding even after I called back and cancel the tow. She was still as polite as the first time when I called. I wish I would've remembered her name. But this place definitely showed me better customer service and was more responsive and had better work ethic. Thank you again. read more

The most scumbag and unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. My vehicle was towed to Power's Towing by Power's Towing to their tow yard after an accident. My vehicle had no damage at all. My car sat in their lot, in their care and control for over a week due to an insurance discrepancy. When the vehicle was finally picked up, it was dropped off at Gerber Collision, where they did a visual inventory and noticed a dent on the trunk lid and they documented and photographed it. When I picked up the car, I noticed the dent and they informed me they received it from Power's that way. I called Power's and they informed me too much time had elapsed and they were no longer responsible, then hung up on me. I called back and asked for their business insurance information and hung up on me again. I asked who I could speak to there to find out who I could complain to and I was transferred to the owner, who yelled at me she was not fixing anything and hung up on me. I continued calling and they yelled profanities at me, stated they were not responsible for any damage and hung up on me again. I continued calling and they would just hang up on me. Rip off of a place! If your car gets towed there after an accident they charge an initial tow fee of $270 and then $35 a day to keep the car there for up to 5 days, then the rate goes to $50 a day on day 6. Spare yourself the misery and have the cops tow your car somewhere else! Beth, the woman answering the phones was very rude and even stated that my Allstate agent wouldn't be allowed on their premises to take a look at the car! How is that legal?? The car isn't drivable and will probably be a total loss but I have to pay to get it towed somewhere else just so my agent can look at the car? These towing companies are some of the most unethical companies in America! They don't care how they treat you either! They employ uneducated ignorant people who probably can't get a real job elsewhere! Try that attitude in the real working world and you'd be fired on day one!! read more

These idiots towed my car from a collision site awaiting for instructions on which repair shop I was going to use for my insurance. They mixed up my car with another and towed it to another business and left it in their parking lot for 3 days. I get a call from the state police asking me why my car has been abandoned, to which I say, WTF are you talking about. I then have to get it towed back to them and ultimately to the repairshop. This isn't that complicated, cars have license plates and VINs. You might want to hire people that can read. read more

I had a very pleasant experience with Powers towing. My car broke down in subzero temperatures while I had my 80 pound dog with me on the tollway. They were there to tow me within 20 minutes of calling and even helped to lift my dog in and out of the truck so he didn't have to ride in the cold car without me. Bad!!! This company is bad business, they were rude and prejudice with me and my son. We pulled up asked one question and the guy was yelling. Our car was towed there because of an accident, but we received no customer assistance no moral support. We were treated as if we were not welcome there and they made sure we knew it and felt it. Do not use this company!! It's unfortunate that there are companies like this that are still in business. Power's towing towed my AWD vehicle without using a flatbed and caused almost $2800 in damages. I called the company about the damages and the "owner" Tammie (according to the information on Yelp) was at first pleasant with me. But she kept giving me the run around about how the tow truck guy wasn't available and how the owner Tom (which I found out is her husband) wasn't around. It was obvious they were not trying to help me and were hoping I would just go away. I explained to her what happened and asked if for the company's insurance information and she refused and told me to fill out a police report. Why would I fill out a police report???!?! It was their negligence that caused the damage but according to them, they did not. Okay, if that is correct, why not let me file a claim through their insurance company and let the insurance company decide? If the company is so confident that they weren't at fault, then filing the claim would not be a big deal. It's ridiculous that they don't want to communicate with their customers and do what is right. I'm not asking for anything extra, except to be reimbursed for the damage they caused. Since they are refusing to reach out to me, I'm now filing a lawsuit with them. Read the reviews, they are there for a reason. I will be sure to tell everyone about this terrible company. read more

2 hours late bringing my fathers work van to his auto mechanics shop. Wouldn't take my father's company credit card number over the phone.
