I can't appreciate the team enough esp under Jackson's leadership & very touching kindness. First of all, he did an awesome video, presentation of the problem and solution and what Guardian is all about. His lightheartedness was a plus right away & his answer on the topics & related subjects show thorough knowledge & care. Then the willingness to go through many quotes & scenarios, plus a report creation on our damaged roof for me to pursue a complaint about the previous contractor, all in constant pleasant manner and patience was commendable. He was very patient but efficient; his patience in letting me figuring out the best decision for myself without any interruption & pressure made him & Guardian the obvious choice for me, other contractors are no longer his competitions by that time. I had no idea that Guardian even offered insulation & air sealing at the time, I suggested it. Then after I signed, he made a thoughtful gesture to offer to call my husband who are on a business trip to explain what I signed with Guardian, and my husband too was impressed by his way of explaining things, very thorough and full of service. The next day, I was very happy with the team, starting with Robert, then Antonio, and Rory, each of them called and introduced themselves, gave an outline on what to expect & give me an opportunity to answer any question. I was happy that they moved the project a week early but scared too as it's pretty much 2 days after I signed, really can't turn back now. The crew led by Gabriel is a joy to have. They're very sweet and kind in assisting me to go in and out of the driveway, or watch for my safety if I was accessing work area, thoughtful to pull the mess to a certain point of my house only to prevent delicate part of the yard and fruit trees to stay free from debris. Gabriel leads quietly by doing, Roberto and him are very kind whenever I ask questions like about the mold treatment chemical and the insulation material. I was touched when they explained how it was less harmful to me than to them but they are confidence in their safety because of the protective gear they have on. I told them to take me to see the attic for air insulation, call me at work when it's ready, they said they would but they did not, in a way that just want to be protective. It's definitely sweet to get to know Miguel & his son, Jesse, and I know I'm forgetting a couple who showed up during insulation. I wanted to change the skylight for "might be just as well" reason but Jackson apparently really consulted with Antonio as he told me he would and they both deemed it unnecessary & I know they were being truly professional. There is a live picture throughout so my husband & I could really see all the work and also understand more the extent of latent damage. I called Gabriel to ask what he saw the previous contractor did badly and the conditions of the old plywoods and he was polite & thoughtful in his answer and the integrity and braveness is touching. When they finished the job, I could see only very tiny moss on my roof, but it was very very small. That's what sold me on them. You get immediate results after the cleaning rather than having to wait on the moss inhibitor powder from kicking months down the road. Having said that their prices were in line with 3 of 4 quotes I had gotten and I was able to call someone on the phone and ask several questions that they did a great job answering. The only issue I had was that they had to come back to my house two more times to get the job done right. The first time they had a miscommunication with my gutters that was stated in my quote but wasn't done, so they came back and did it. I managed to catch them where they weren't that far away. The second time, was because I requested it because they missed washing a gutter and the ends of my gutter on my dormer were not quite clean. I took pics and sent it to them for proof. They did call me back the next day and apologized and had someone come over in the afternoon to clean the missed gutters and double check all gutters. They did clean all the debris quite well, in fact it looked better than when they started. I really appreciated that. Roof looks great, gutters look great and I'm satisfied, however I was told I would get before and after pics and it's been a few days so far and I have not gotten any pics. I would use them again but definitely recommend double checking their work to make sure nothing was missed.
