Power up came out and installed a new bedroom door for us. They had to cut it down from the standard slab size and it fit perfectly. That much is expected. What they did next was not. They were installing the door knob but since it was defective, they went to the hardware store and got a replacement without even asking for additional money to cover their time. They wanted to provide excellent customer service. We're impressed with their work and their customer focus. We will, for sure, provide more work for them. Thanks guys! Did a horrible job installing four doors in our house. Blamed the age of our home for the issue after destroying the doors (also destroyed the handles which was unrelated to the age, just negligence in installation). Submitted an insurance claim to replace our doors with new pre-hung doors which should have resolved the issue, but completely botched them again. Once again, he blamed the age of our home. We got a second opinion from a general contractor who informed us that the doors were installed so poorly that we couldn't salvage them and we'd need to buy new doors (third set of doors). Since this happened we requested a refund for the work because it was so negligent and Eric told us he refunded our payment but the refund never showed up and when we called Square they said the refund was never actually submitted. When I told Eric this he said he would call Square and resolve. This occurred 5 days ago and he has gone completely dark on us since then. We are now left with filing a dispute on our credit card and contacting his insurance company in hopes of getting our money back. read more

Eric is such a joke. He winterize the sprinkler for my house and now the pipe is freeze and break. He worked on repair the sprinkler system, took him 5 months and after repair I got $1000 water bill. read more

I recently had the pleasure of using power up to install a new TV mount in my living room. Eric was terrific from beginning to end. He was great at communicating on every facet. And very patient when I tried to explain to him how hard it was to get through the brick over my fireplace. I was so impressed with them, from the moment they arrived at my house, and got out of the truck wearing matching T-shirts and facemask. They quickly assembled my new mount, and Eric was able to figure out why I had such a hard time when I did it. He installed a new one, it looks great, and works great. I had him go upstairs and look at my bedroom TV to figure out how to mount it on the wall there, and I look forward to having him do that job as well. These days, it is rare to find service people who are on time, polite, and do a good job. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Eric told me that he can make a vent hood cover when he obviously didn't know how to make one. He literally was at my house at three days straight and not only he couldn't finish but he also ruined surrounding cabinets. He painted without covering and protecting any of cabinets so he dripped the paint all over my cabinets and he didn't even use the right paint that matched my cabinets. He basically taped and glued things together and things were coming apart right away. I had to hire another contractor to demolish everything right away. My spouse was astonished that someone left a job like that when our cabinets are high end cabinets and we spent so much time and money on them. Eric did mentioned that he's going to file a insurance claim and replace my cabinets completely but I just moved into my brand new house and who wants to go through another phase of waiting and dysfunctional kitchen? And I spent lot of hours finding the right hardware. It's ridiculous that he didn't cover anything when he was painting on the site. My house was basically experiments for him to try new things without researching which I find it very disrespectful. -- AFTER READING ERIC'S RESPONSE If he had to come in again, then he had to start from the beginning because the sticks that he put up there for the structure weren't enough for the support and the plywood he used was so thin that it was warping. I've done enough research on how to create a vent hood cover, but no one used thin sticks or thin plywood online and that's why we demolished everything because we couldn't start from where Eric left. Because Eric put unpainted plywood as the outside layer, he couldn't paint the side panels where the cabinets were so his solution was to buy a thin brush and stick that thin brush between my cabinets and the side panels...I'm not a painter or a carpenter but I know that's not professional or at least not a good solution when it comes to painting side panels that are not reachable. I hope that Eric learns a lesson from my kitchen and my brand new house. Some people actually cherish their house a lot and they invest in it so much that it is so offensive when a vendor says he can do something when he can't and doesn't have the best interest for the homeowner. My house was a guinea pig for his experiment but as a homeowner, I was really stressed out that I paid someone to come over to leave my house in worse condition.
