Had a guy from a big name company come out and quoted us $500-$800 and needed 1-2weeks to replace the frame and door. Bek came over right away on a Saturday and fixed our frame then reattach the door the next morning at 7:30am before we had to leave the house. All for far less than we were quoted. He was super nice and helpful... we have 4 kiddos all young and they were very interested in his work. He was very kind and they all enjoyed watching him work. He even took down an old fan for us and installed a new light. Just can't say enough good things about him. Thanks Bek!!!

We found Beck and "expert guys construction" through an Instagram ad. We did a consult with him for…read morea full gut renovation of our outdated kitchen. He quoted us a big number but he showed us many videos and pictures of his previous work and after looking him up on Thumbtack and Google review, we took the plunge and hired him. I am here to tell you what a horrible mistake that was in hopes of helping anyone else who may be considering hiring him. He took ALOT of money from us but beginning the very first day he was supposed to start our project, he has made every day of our lives a nightmare and I wish I was exaggerating. A project he assured us (verbally and in our contract) would take 4-6 weeks took over 4 months and the only reason it finally finished is because we went out and bought our own supplies so that the workers would have something to install. MOST of those 4 months, the kitchen sat with no work being done because Beck did not provide the materials to do the work. I'm talking weeks to months for him to order flooring, CABINETS, countertops! He waited so long that we had to settle for a different cabinet color and different countertops than what agreed on in the beginning because they were sold out or on backorder. He literally said he would NOT deliver our countertops if we didn't pay him money the night before he was supposed to come with them. WE HAD ALREADY PAID HIM FOR THE COUNTERTOPS!!! Even though we had proof and text messages and bank drafts, he said he cannot bring us the countertops because he doesn't have the money to pay those workers so we had to. I WISH I was making this up. And the worst part, is if we didn't have proof of everything through text messages, he would have stolen so much more money and supplies from us. All the things we went out and bought ourselves were included in the contract but were never reimbursed (backsplash, lighting, drawers and shelfs for the cabinets, faucets, sink). On top of that he left our home an absolute disaster. His workers left tools, and half used supplies everywhere. They spilled white paint on our concrete garage floor and left it there to dry and for us to cleanup! Also, he will flat out ignore your calls and text messages FOR DAYS! We had to get legal counsel and send him legal threats for him to respond! I don't want this review to get much longer, there is so much to say. We are forever traumatized by this whole experience and will let everyone know on every review site. I'm sure Beck thinks he just robbed us blind and never have to deal with us again, what a surprise he will get soon. If you are reading this and considering hiring expert guys construction, you have been severely warned. Proceed at your own risk and only if you have a good lawyer on retainer. P.S. all of his workers speak Russian and VERY little English, so good luck communicating with whichever stranger that shows up to your house and that's IF they come to work.

Set an appointment for Tuesday 1/3/23 (next day), inspected work and gave us an quote via email document. Due to their responsiveness and communication we agreed to get the work completed without waiting for around for other quotes. We scheduled the job for Friday 1/6/23. We specifically met with and had work completed by Peter. We sincerely enjoyed working with him! He was punctual, had integrity, and was meticulous about his craft. Job was completed in 2 days. Pricing was very reasonable, in fact the other quotes were given through yelp messages and none of the other handyman offered to come out and inspect the work. The other two bids that we received (after Peter's work was complete) came out more expensive than what NRWillis charged... even though they never came out to inspect the work. After working with Peter on this job, we presented him with a couple of more projects around our home and are waiting for his quotes.

After I paid the service fee, he told me he needed approval to continue. I went more than seven days without being able to flush my toilet or use my shower, and the service fee was never refunded. He also claimed to have diagnosed the problem, but never scoped the line and did not have the proper equipment to complete the job. Based on my experience, I would not recommend any plumbing services from an inexperienced technician. I strongly suggest making sure going with another contractor that has the proper equipment and experience to fully diagnose and complete the job. As a precaution, if you encounter or get him as a contractor do not pay an upfront service fee until he can fully diagnose and have the equipment on the day of service as it seems he'll come out and wont return for days without completing the job!

Be aware and watchfull: Plumber Eric with Martinez Maintenance Pros. who is contracted with Choice Home Warranty company. Came out to repair a couple leaks and the toilet. It took him 3 trips out because he didn't properly repair the issues. He said first trip out was to assess the issues and get approval for the repair. He told me the service fee I handed him my card, he said he couldn't take payment that way. I asked do you have cash app or Zelle? He said no, he could only take cash. He was given cash then he started to leave.....without giving me a receipt. Funny thing, I saw on "Thumbtack" that those are the forms of payments that he takes. 2nd trip...kitchen sink leak he said was repaired...it wasn't he had to return to replace the faucet. So, I sent him a picture of the one I wanted which was under the allowance given by the warranty company, Apparently he chose a different faucet as a replacement without informing me of the type. The replacement didn't fit the hole pattern. 3rd trip... he was to replace the faucet, I wasn't home when he came. When I got home, I saw the sink had a big gapping hole. I called him about the hole and he told me most customers go buy a cap or a soap dispenser. I said why would I do that when the faucet I showed him had a dispenser. He said he paid more out of pocket for the one he installed, and if he came back I'd have to pay for installation. Obviously, {another cash transaction}. So, now I'm stuck with a big gapping hole in the sink, where even more water could leak through. Eric was scheduled to come back out to replace the faucet and was a no call no show 3 times. He keeps cancelling the appointments.

Miracle Clean-up job from Hell!!…read more Apartment building dumpster area desperately needed cleaning for business and residents. Jerome came through and immediately started working with the other shops to find a pressure washer hookup to begin the work. Community was more than happy to help get the project done as a part of an effort to keep the area clean from consistent homeless activity. Was super tough to find someone to get this done quickly and help remove the mess that had piled up from constant dumpster diving. This was a Dirty Job worthy of that Discovery show with Mike Rowe, and at the end Jerome was still smiling. Left the area clean, Quick close out and offered additional services for the future. He assured me he would get it done right. Long story short, after paying him a small fortune, it turned out so bad I now have to pay another person to re-do it. When I expressed my disappointment in the texture he dismissed me and responded by telling me the "walls look nice". I'll let the people reading this review decide for themselves how the walls look‍...see attached pics. However, that's not the worst part, the thing that actually made me mad enough to write a bad review was the state in which he left our house. He just left tape, smeared drywall mud, and piles of dust in every room he worked in. It was a nightmare to clean up....literally hours of cleaning! I have renovated 3 houses floor to ceiling and never have I had anyone leave a mess like Jerome did. He literally didn't even lay down cover on our brand new floors upstairs before he mudded, sanded, and textured. He also doesn't cover anything with plastic; we had to cover things with plastic ourselves. Every other drywall and painter I've used has covered everything in plastic. I kept telling myself not to worry, it would all get cleaned up....I was wrong and it cost me LOTS of time and $$$$! UPDATE: I saw Jerome's response. On top of everything else, he is not honest. We never said we'd clean up his mess and he knows it....hence the reason he couldn't post the "screenshot" he claimed he has showing me saying it. He's just flat out lying to save face. We also didn't "rush him out the door". In fact, he was the one who rushed out the door because he said he had another job he needed to start on in Castle Rock and we actually had to ask him to stay and complete the work he had committed to. Also, he didn't actually finish the work we contracted him to do, which is why he didn't get paid the full amount and he knows that's why. He said he'd "forgot" part of the repairs and didn't have time to clean up, yet he didn't mention that in his response at all....just said we owe him money...hmm. He also definitely didn't do any unpaid "extra work" like he's claiming. I literally paid this man $2,494....the remaining $756 (not $766) was not paid because of the work that was not done. He did offer to come back at a later date to complete the work he "forgot", but his texture was so bad and he left such a mess that I decided it would be crazy to bring him back! He also failed to mention to all of you that he told me before I hired him that he was bringing in a finisher with 40 years of experience to do the texture on my walls and charged me $1200 for the finisher's services alone....the finisher didn't end up doing the texture as promised, because Jerome said he didn't like his work and he thought he could do better himself. Lastly, I did have 2 (not 3) other people do drywall texture in other areas. I absolutely did NOT fire them, but I didn't love how the texture turned out, which is why I repeatedly told Jerome I was only looking to hire someone who was certain they could replicate the texture. Jerome assured me he could get it done right...but he definitely couldn't, as shown by the pics of his work. In fact, he charged more than all of them and his work was the worst looking texture of all.
