I heard about this boarding facility through a friend and decided to check it out as I am always…read morelooking for a place where my dog could be comfortable and feel right at home when I was travelling or needed a short stay for my pup. I looked at the owner's website www.camp-ruff.com which describes their facility as a "lux camp" for dogs and puppies. I was intrigued and called for an appt to view the property and see the operations. I was met by the Camp Director/Owner, a delightful, sincere woman named Lucinda. She greeted me and my dog and proceeded to show me the camp home, which is divided into sections based on the needs and behaviors of the various dogs she was boarding. She listened to my description of my dogs needs, habits and observed her to judge how she would behave w other dogs. One by one she let a dog out from the house, where they have their "sleep over", cautiously to see what my dog would do. As the animals were about my dog's size everyone seemed to accept each other. Great news! Lucinda decided to take the next step by taking my dog w the small pack for some exercise on the trail in the woods behind the house. The dogs were running around having a great time which relieved my anxiety that my dog might not like to be off leash but she was running and getting some great exercise and learning to enjoy the pack mentality. No fighting or misbehaving, perfect! Lucinda works tirelessly to pamper the pooches morning and night. Morning feedings, evening feedings, medications and always careful observations of the pets. They all sleep like happy babies when the day ends in a real home environment. Prices are in line and reasonable I think for an overnight stay of $44 including feeding, walking, playtime and careful observation by someone who is highly qualified and very knowledgeable of pet behavior. All animals come in contact w other pets only when owner has documentation for boarding such as rabies vaccination, bordetello. This place is a well thought out and safe place to leave your precious pet while you are away. So relax, they got your back!

Have you ever been in the middle of planning an out of town trip when you suddenly remember your…read morelittle fur-babies who need care while you're away? Do you then groan, roll your eyes, and lament over the cost of boarding them, all the while knowing they will be confused and probably uncomfortable during your absence? This is what my husband and I used to go through every time we had to travel. We have 4 animals at home. An outside dog and 3 indoor cats. (Used to be 2 dogs, we miss you, Rusty!) During our trip planning several years ago I announced to my husband we couldn't afford to go on our trip. The best boarding rate I could find was going to cost us over $1k, yes, that's one thousand dollars! (Que the Dr. Evil pinky-grin.) We just wanted to go see family for about an 8 day trip, but it was going to cost more to board our animals than it would for the two of us to get there and back! Don and Lori to the RESCUE! I found Walkin'-n-Waggin' and made a call. Don and Lori came out to my home, introduced themselves, and explained their services. When they showed me their rates, I was sure I was missing something. Seriously? Less than $300? Yup! And I have never again worried about being gone from home. Here's what you get: PEACE OF MIND! They come once or twice a day, your choice. They feed and play with all the animals, scoop litter, water plants, rotate lights, check the mail, and bring in anything that may be left on the porch like a package or the newspaper. They even make sure my garbage gets to the curb, and they bring the can back up and put it away. They're trained in First Aid for pets, and will take your pet to the vet if something happens. All this, and your fur-babies stay in their own home, sleep in their own beds, and get some peace and quiet. In the 7+ years we have used this service, we have never once worried about what was going on at home. We receive regular voicemails or text messages while we're away, and upon return my husband and I usually fuss over who gets to read the daily notes that are always left for us. The comfort of knowing our pets and our home is being looked after while we're away is priceless to us. We have never returned home to any mess or unexpected situation. Walkin'-n-Waggin' is a professional service that goes above and beyond. 5 stars is not enough to express the high quality of service and satisfaction that comes from doing business with these folks. We wouldn't dream of leaving our home for any length of time without calling them. We're lucky to have people like Don and Lori operating their business in our area.

First, let me say the customer service is EXCELLENT. They always rise to the occasion, even if it's…read morethe slightest of issues. I actually look forward going to the check out, as I find the cashiers to be extremely friendly. The only peeve I have with this store is that my go-to products are usually out of stock :( The type of treats I buy seem to be big sellers, so I'm not sure why they don't keep plenty of stock. However, the staff makes sure to keep me a happy customer and offers me a discount on a similar product. Once, I purchased some dog treats that I didn't realize were already out of date. I returned them and the manager replaced my order AND gave me a discount. On another occasion, they didn't have the grain-free dog food I usually buy in the 50 lb bag, but they had it in 25 lb bags, but at a higher price per bag. They rang up (2) 25lb bags and gave me a major discount for the inconvenience. Not that my dog-ter (dog-daughter) minds any of this :) She's happy with anything I bring home that's edible!

She was scheduled with the groomer, Danielle, who was the rudest human being I have ever met. I did not feel comfortable leaving my dog alone with her, so I walked around the store and watched her groom my dog. When my dog was ready to be picked up, she complained that I watched and said I made my dog more anxious. My dog couldn't see me, as her back was to the wall, and I believe Danielle was mad that I watched because she knew she wasn't doing right by her. She cut my dog's quick and also gave her a rash on her stomach. When I told the store, they gave me a refund, but nobody cared that my dog was harmed, instead, they made excuses. My dog has had her nails trimmed countless times and NEVER has been cut, and they told me this is normal. She also has white nails where you can literally see the quick so there's no excuse. My dog is now limping and has a bright red belly with bumps all over it, so clearly the upgraded package did NOTHING. I will NEVER bring my dog back here and will NEVER shop here again. The staff is completely unprofessional, rude, and ignorant. My dog was treated poorly, and when I brought it to the attention of the staff, I was then treated poorly. If you decide to risk bringing your dog here, just make sure Danielle doesn't get a hold of it.
