The night of the wedding it seemed they didn't even look at our playlist because it was one cheesy song after another until after an hour and a half into the dance they finally played the music that I had requested. I had to talk to him three times until he played music that we liked. I also found out later that no one could hear him. We announced various things and if you weren't on the dance floor, you couldn't hear him. I would say he finally pulled through for us the last 2.5 hours, but with what we were paying him it should not have taken that long to figure it out. It made me think that he hadn't really reviewed what we wanted.

They got to know us as a couple, got to know our vibe, and then created a tailored design plan that truly incorporated every element we wanted and some that we didn't even know were possible! They stayed within our budget and did not pressure us to spend more. We were able to rent all of our needed items from them and used them for signage. We also paid for the set-up and tear-down services so felt incredibly stress free with the design of the wedding day. The floral was wrapped up in the design process and was also effortless. They gave us a full plan of which florals would be used for our bouquets and arrangements. On the day-of the flowers were beautiful and just as described. The day-of coordination was icing on the cake. Our coordinator, Kelli, was present for all of our design/planning meetings so it felt like she knew our wedding when planning the schedule. She was available to talk through all the details of our schedule and very communicative leading up to the wedding. From the outset, Travis and his team of event designers were responsive to our questions and took our interests, tastes, and goals for the wedding into consideration. UE worked within our budget to design and execute a truly outstanding event that felt personal, elegant, and seamless. A number of the vendors and countless guests have reached out to us with compliments for UE's exceptional service and design work. My partner and I planned the wedding from out of state, and therefore assigned a lot of responsibility to UE to manage not only their own design elements (incl. ceremony & reception decor, lighting, floral, linens, and numerous rentals) but also to oversee the "day-of" operations of eight other vendors. Throughout the planning process, Travis Newell's communication with us was prompt, clear, and courteous. He went above and beyond to ensure that the details we discussed were accounted for in revised event proposals and came prepared with questions and ideas to all of our conversations. He and the day-of coordinators even went so far as to meet with me (and one of the other vendors) at the venue three weeks before the wedding for a detailed walk through of the design and event timeline. On the day of, Al went above and beyond to help us keep to our timeline. He checked in with us and our families as we were busy mingling with guests, but in a way that was not intrusive. When my dessert donuts didn't fit the pegs on my MOH's donut wall, Al stepped right in to help us organize donut boxes. We didn't ask him to do this, it was simply out of the kindness of his heart. Chris (yes, we call him Chris now) is a fantastic DJ and a great guy. We were planning our wedding from the East Coast and had two meetings with Chris (one over the phone and the other on Skype). He came to our reception venue the day before the wedding, in order to see the facilities ahead of time (since he hadn't done a reception at our venue) and he was set up way ahead of time our guests arrived. Chris is ultra organized. And, he answers all your questions before you even realize it! He has an 11-page packet where he dives into everything: do you want a bouquet toss? are there family sensitivities? songs you don't want me to play? games you do want to play? All those questions are covered in the packet, and he goes through them with you a month before the wedding. He keeps the reception moving, and watches the clock so you don't have to. Chris made sure he had all our "must play" songs-- and even downloaded one our groomsman requested right there. We've heard horror stories of awful DJs. From what they wear to how they act. Chris couldn't have been more professional. (He was even in a tie, despite the fact he had to set-up and take-down his equipment.)
