We used their design, floral, and day-of coordination services. The design service was amazing. They got to know us as a couple, got to know our vibe, and then created a tailored design plan that truly incorporated every element we wanted and some that we didn't even know were possible! They stayed within our budget and did not pressure us to spend more. We were able to rent all of our needed items from them and used them for signage. We also paid for the set-up and tear-down services so felt incredibly stress free with the design of the wedding day. The floral was wrapped up in the design process and was also effortless. They gave us a full plan of which florals would be used for our bouquets and arrangements. On the day-of the flowers were beautiful and just as described. The day-of coordination was icing on the cake. Our coordinator, Kelli, was present for all of our design/planning meetings so it felt like she knew our wedding when planning the schedule. She was available to talk through all the details of our schedule and very communicative leading up to the wedding. On the day of my wedding I felt so calm knowing that the set up and coordination was in capable hands. I was able to focus on being in the moment and enjoy the whole day. They made clean-up seamless. Was the best use of money. Would do 100 times over!! Recommend Unique Events endlessly!

We have nothing but praise for their work and would not hesitate to recommend UE's services to others planning a special event. We elected to work with Unique Events after a disappointing experience with another event planning group whose fee structure and policies were ambiguous, at best. From the outset, Travis and his team of event designers were responsive to our questions and took our interests, tastes, and goals for the wedding into consideration. UE worked within our budget to design and execute a truly outstanding event that felt personal, elegant, and seamless. A number of the vendors and countless guests have reached out to us with compliments for UE's exceptional service and design work. My partner and I planned the wedding from out of state, and therefore assigned a lot of responsibility to UE to manage not only their own design elements (incl. ceremony & reception decor, lighting, floral, linens, and numerous rentals) but also to oversee the "day-of" operations of eight other vendors. Throughout the planning process, Travis Newell's communication with us was prompt, clear, and courteous. He went above and beyond to ensure that the details we discussed were accounted for in revised event proposals and came prepared with questions and ideas to all of our conversations. He and the day-of coordinators even went so far as to meet with me (and one of the other vendors) at the venue three weeks before the wedding for a detailed walk through of the design and event timeline. The event coordinators, Ashley and Hannah, also provided exceptional service on the day-of, working tirelessly from 7am through midnight to liaise with vendors, party members and guests, and to attend to issues that arose. We were deeply impressed with their attentiveness and demonstrated capacity. Thank you so much, Unique Events! We couldn't have done it without you.

Next, they were completely set up in such a non-distracting way prior to guests arriving. Finally, our on-site attendant was AMAZING! I believe it was Adam, who we were emailing prior to the big day to set everything up. I have been to a number of weddings with photo booths, and usually the attendant just stands outside and doesn't do much of anything. Not this one! He interacted with guests- I loved his spinning wheel that with one group had us acting "flirtatious" in one photo, "muscle-man" in another, etc. He kept the fun going. And, on top of all of this, he was placing a copy of each photo strip into a scrapbook for us, and encouraging our guests to sign it. What a wonderful memento of the night. He also provided us a flashdrive with copies of all photostrips, along with each individual photo. Both the scrapbook and the photos have been very entertaining! Our guests had a great time and loved their photos. In comparison to another vendor, Hawkeye Photo Booths is reasonably priced. The other vendor tried to sell me on the quality of camera- the photos all turned out very clear, and look great. Overall, it was a pleasure to do business with Hawkeye Photo Booths. We definitely recommend them for special events!

The…read morephoto booth was a huge hit--everyone, whether solo or in a group, could take home their own copies, and the bride and groom received a full set of all the photos. The props were fantastic and clearly well-chosen; it felt like every single one was used, and guests of all ages had a blast. The DJ was absolutely wonderful. From the youngest guests to the older generations, everyone was on the dance floor. One guest even said, "I have not danced that much in years--or ever!" The DJ followed the bride's outline perfectly, from the grand entrance to the final song. Announcements were enthusiastic and well-timed, and when attention was needed, the DJ gave gentle reminders so no one missed a moment. The music kept the energy high all night long. Even those of us who usually head to bed by 9 PM were still dancing at 11:30--and had to be coaxed off the dance floor! Set-up and tear-down were handled entirely by the DJ team. The lighting and sound setup created a vibrant party atmosphere without clashing with the wedding décor. I cannot recommend this DJ team enough. They were professional, fun, and truly elevated the celebration. Very impressed!

He took every request we had and played and hosted exactly the way we wanted. His emails were prompt and professional and we never felt like he was anything but great. He did last calls for the bar as well as got our toasts ready in a timely fashion. We even got to keep a cute little album of photos people took (which not every photo booth does included in your fee) and the flash drive as well. Definitely would recommend for a wedding!

Because he barely played any of the songs on my daughter's MUST play list and solely played what he wanted to play. I e-mailed him 2 days after the wedding and told him in very explicit but nice terms how disappointed we were in how the evening went. Guess what? The owner never answered my e-mail. That is not the way a true professional business should behave. If you can't take constructive criticism then get out of business. I went up several times to ask him when he was going to play a particular song and he would get all technical and talk about beats per second on the display. Really? Do I care about that? Hell no! Just play the song my daughter is paying u to play!! The DJ (Darrius) had his own agenda all night long, hit on some of the women there (NOT COOL) and refused to even play the last song she wanted. "I always play this song last" he said. DO NOT hire this company unless u want to be extremely disappointed. You are paying them to play what u have requested, not what they want. Out of the 25 must play songs he played maybe 10 and he played for 7 hours!! My daughter was a little drunk and she couldn't get through to him but after all is said and done, she's upset. We would have been better off and saved a lot of money by just bringing our own sound system and an IPod.

    We hired ASE DJ to run sound for a birthday party that we were performing…read more Prior to the event I specified through email several times that the group would need 3 cordless microphones to perform. This was a big deal because each member sings and choreography is also involved in our show. He reassured me that he would have 3 cordless microphones along with the other necessary equipment for the show. He also provided a form for me to check off on the items needed and I certainly checked the 3 cordless mics along with the other items needed. When we arrived for our agreed soundcheck time, Tim was nowhere to be found until about 20 minutes later. He then hands me only 2 microphones! When I reminded him we needed another mic he looked surprised as if he forgot. He said he would go and get it BUT in the same breath asked about receiving payment! Sound check went ok with the 2 microphones we had but when the show started one of the microphones wasn't working and when I looked behind us to get Tim's attention, he was not at his post! In fact he was off chatting with someone at the party. In a panic I had to leave the stage area to get his attention about the microphone not working. He checks it and then argues that it was working when it clearly had no sound coming out of it! He then raised the volume on the dead mic but it still wasn't producing enough sound. So we had to keep swapping microphones during our performance. It was very stressful. As a sound person, your main job is to make sure the SOUND is up to par and that obviously wasn't Tim's concern. Overall his demeanor was cavalier and he didn't seem to care at all about what we needed from him. To top it off he was paid generously for the job he didn't do so well. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a sound person/DJ in all my life!

Tim, the owner, answered all of my questions (there was a lot, he actually complimented me on them) in the beginning, and was very professional. Their online portal is a little confusing and I would have preferred to get the forms and download them and fill them out that way, but I found out a little too late. Anyway, they did sound for both our ceremony and reception. Huge shout out and props to CODY, our DJ, who I would recommend to ANYONE and EVERYONE! I swear he was more than a DJ - it felt like he was our night of event coordinator and thank God because my ADHD brain was NOT going to get anything done in the moment (too happy? Too much wine...). Cody was really fantastic. I didn't know we needed a pre-party phone call because I'm pretty laid back, but it ended up being such a great choice! We got to know Cody (who you'll just want to be friends with after your wedding), but he also got some things cleared up and made sure he knew what songs to play when, how to say our weird family names, and what kind of vibe we were going for. Night of - I underestimated some of our guests. I thought it was going to be very low key, but thankfully Cody and a few of our more extroverted friends got people on the dance floor. Thanks Cody, for not making too much fun of us slow dancing the chicken dance to "Groovy Kind of Love." It's a New Girl reference. We're obnoxious super-fans.... Not the kind that has t-shirts and wall decor, but who just spends half the day speaking to one another in New Girl quotes. Anyway, I could go on and on, but in short - hire them for your wedding.
