    Birra poutine
    Tielle D.

Chef Diana J. is killing the game for over 20 years and she hopefully will continue to bless the public with her flavorful fusion creations. This one she took Birra from Hispanic origins and topped it on Canadas National dish. And made the gravy from the consume that the Birra tacos are dipped in. Fries are fresh and hand cut and cheese curds are salty chewy nuggets of joy!! Oh boy this is some addictive ish I tell ya

It's fries, gravy, and cheese. What's not to like? However it could be better. The price is very reasonable. But the fries could be better. For poutine the fries are essential. And they aren't quite crispy enough. Fries - Average Cheese - Decent Gravy - Pretty good. The gravy is good. All in all, if I wanted some easy "bar" food again and it was there I'd order some. But by no means would I seek this place out. If it's there, and you're hungry go for it. But don't make any special trips to find it.

It takes a moment to find their back-alley pick-up door, but it's worth the search. The fries are a good cut, and they're smartly packed separately from the toppings and the gravy so they do a bit better in transit. The gravy is rich and soupy, great flavor, the the cheese curds are the real deal. They have so many topping options. Chicken tikka was my least favorite but I still liked it. Short rib is tender, smoked pork is awesome, and bacon is always a good idea. You can even get fried chicken skin for extra crunch or deep-fried cheese curds on the side, but believe me, the poutine itself is decadent enough. Even my friend who's had real poutine in Canada downed his entire dish in minutes. Goes good with beer and makes an amazing meal.

Fried Chicken Poutine - super good! Curds from Wisconsin!

Alright my wife is Canadian so you know I like my poutine - and for an option here in the US, Poutine Brothers SMACKS! The food truck came and visited my work, and while all poutineries should be judged on a classic serving, this was my lunch so I ordered the fried chicken on top, which was the perfect amount of protein, nice and crispy. The cheese curds came from Wisconsin, which is about as close as to Quebec as you can get in the US. The fries were crispy and the gravy was yummy. Poutine Brothers crushes it! It's a food truck, so the atmosphere you would expect: grab food and take it for a walk or a bench nearby.

Poutine Brothers offers a very satisfying menu. While I may have had better poutine in Canada, this place certainly offers great options here in LA. I tried both the short rib and chicken poutine. Both dishes were hearty and tasty; my only wish is that there was more hot gravy to melt the cheese curds. Otherwise, Poutine Brothers really hit the spot!

Had their classic poutine at Youtube Theater, delicious and filling! Cashier was very friendly and got my food quickly, piping hot.

This is a COVID-era review. Food: awesome... I've never had poutine from Canada but I've had poutine in Los Angeles and Poutine Brothers rank top of the list. The smoked pork is a delight and I'm in love with that gravy!!! Service: I felt that this was the memorable part of the experience. The brothers are pretty cool and super friendly. Their love for the business is awesome. 100% would order again (and I'm on the mailing list)

I'd never had poutine until this truck showed up in Beverly Hills. I must say I was a bit surprised. Those Canadians got that right for sure. One order of this is an entire meal....more like a gut bomb. Smoked pork on fries or tots is the way to go. Really good. Anything on fries or tots would also work especially when you add cheese curds and gravy. Brace yourself, it's time for a nap. Friendly staff. Short wait time. Hot food and for the money, I feel like it's worth it. :)

Omg I feel like I'm back in Toronto Canada! Homemade comfort food. Real Poutine fries and Ketchup chips in Los Angeles! OMG! If you know you know. I ordered through Uber eats and the food got here hot.i assembled the poutine fries together and swallowed them in less then 3 minutes they were so good. I remember telling LA people about ketchup chips and they though I was from another planet! Lol! Now you could try for yourself! Careful, they are addictive. The food was fantastic, I highly recommend the Poutine fries and definitely the warm ketchup chips. I will be back try more things on the menu. Thank you for bringing me back in time! I'm still addicted to the ketchup chips! Lol

I finally got over to trying Poutine Brothers, it's been on my list for so long. I've never had poutine, but always wanted to try this Canadian delight. I ordered the Vegan Classic with Ketchup Chips. And the chips ABSOLUTELY sold me! They're sooo good! The whole bag tasted like fries and ketchup and I'm not mad it. These greasy ketchup chips were a real, tasty surprise. Very yummy! And would totally be back for these! The Vegan Classic was cool. It honestly wasn't anything mind blowing. My favorites were the Vegan Daiya Cheese and the fries. The gravy wasn't my favorite, it definitely wasn't as thick as non-vegan gravy, so I wasn't a fan and the chives didn't do anything for me. Overall, it was cool enough to even try vegan Canadian food, but I'll definitely stick with the Ketchup chips! The service was pretty cute. As I was waiting, one of the cooks ended up coming out to go to his car and asked, "Do you happen to be Ashley", and when I responded, "Yeah", he assured me that my food was coming right up since he's working on it! So I ended up not even needing to call for pickup. He brought it out in like a good 23 minutes. If ever back in Culver City or in the area of their Food Truck Location, then I'll try the Vegan Carne Asada Poutine with some Ketchup Chips :)

I first discovered this magical concoction at a yelp event at Madame Toussads. As a picky American, I was hesitant to try the loaded fries because who puts gravy on fries? The answer is Canadians and they are geniuses. What was just a free sample at an event has turned into a full blown obsession with Poutine Brothers. I get them every time I go to first Friday's on Abbott Kinney. If you're trying to see their schedule, they post it on their Instagram: @poutinebrothers. Not only is the food top notch but their customer service makes you feel like family. The two brothers who run this truck are very personable and hard working. My aunt came all the way from Chicago this weekend and was excited to try my favorite food truck. It did not disappoint. She kept saying how she wants to bring the truck back with her. I normally get the chicken tikka masala (apparently it's for adventurous eaters because it's super flavorful) and my aunt got the savory chicken. I'm so glad she did. It's my new favorite. See you soon poutine brothers!

I first had poutine on a trip the British Columbia in 2018 and then again in 2019. I've never had it outside of Canada but I was excited to try it here, especially since they had a variety of options. I chose the fried chicken and my vegetarian boyfriend tried the cauliflower. When the food first arrived, it didn't look like a lot of food but by the last few bites I was stuffed. The food was good but I felt like the dish could have used a bit more gravy as some of the fries were a little dry. My boyfriend really appreciated that they offered a vegetarian gravy as it can be hard to find. We were so inspired by our poutine though that we came home and made our own version of poutine a couple of weeks later.

Was super excited to try the veggie poutine! I'm vegetarian not vegan so was very pleased that these was an option to have real cheese curds with the vegan gravy. Was super impressed by the vegan gravy texture. Takeout is the only option if going through the store front and I was happy they separated the different ingredients so nothing got soggy. That being said fries are always tricky to heat up and I'm eager to try Poutine Bros fresh from their food truck. Elite yelper gf was def a fan, she got the short rib and was more dedicated to the reheating process than me and claims it made a world of difference .

I didn't get there until 1:50, and just as I park and start walking toward the truck, it pulls out and I watch my planned pancake disappear. But hey, when life hands me lemons, most of the time I can make lemonade. Instead of heading back to the car, I decide to see what other food trucks are there (there's still a half dozen left.) I've had too many mediocre food truck meals, so now I usually only hit those that score a 4-5 on the Yelp-o-meter. So nothing catches my eye until I see "Get Toasted." It's got a line bigger than the others, but I'm not pure sheep, so I Yelp it and it scores solidly. I get in line, study the menu, and am pleasantly surprised by the prices. I decide to go for the three salbutes (mini tostada-like things) and drink special, and get the day's special salbute on the side. The staff on the truck were super-friendly and polite. They earned one star for great service before I even got the food. WHAT I HAD: Trio of salbutes (I chose carnitas, short rib and pork belly) Small peach vanilla iced tea Extra salbute (spicy crab, their daily special) MOST FAVORITE TO LEAST FAVORITE: (but to be honest, I'd eat all of them again except maybe the short rib) Carnitas - DE-FREAKIN-LICIOUS. Moist and juicy and lots of flavor. Pickled onions and cilantro were perfect complement. Pork Belly - Crispy and fatty and lots of flavor. Spicy Crab - yummy -- and loads of crab -- but not really spicy. Would have been a clear fav for me if the flavor was punched up just a little more. Either more spice or a citrus kick would've made this my #1 instead of my #3. Short Rib - a tiny bit dry and not quite enough flavor. The only other two notes I'd give: 1) Take some of the stems off the cilantro before chopping it. I love cilantro, but the stems can get bitter when there's a lot of them. I ended up fishing some of them out and enjoyed it a lot more. 2) The peach vanilla iced tea (which was a sweetened black tea, I believe) was really good, but too sweet for my taste. It was in the ballpark of most bottled commercial iced teas (Snapple, Nestea) which is a little sweeter than I like. But that's me. Others no doubt will love it as it is. FINAL VERDICT: I thought it was an excellent (and a very good value) meal for $10 flat. I would definitely go again. A few tweaks and I'd give it 5 stars.
