In the fast pace and churning energies we are experiencing on personal and collective levels,…read morefinding ways to support the body, mind, and auric energy fields feels less a luxury and more of a necessity. Today, I went to Oasis at the Mill for a delicious Velvet Fog chaga- & kava-infused drink. I also booked a Vibro-Acoustic Therapy session for the first time! I was asked what I was feeling to experience energetically out of the various programs available and I chose "Release". I didn't know what to expect and it turned out to be quite profound and healing on many levels so I want to share my experience. I was taken to a beautiful dark teal room with Tibetan prayer flags overhead...tranquil and inviting. I put on some padded headphones while the program was being initiated, and made myself comfortable on my back on an ergonomically sculpted bed. Resonant music came through the headphones as the bed began to vibrate and undulate, my back and legs receiving a massage-like experience as my entire body felt the resonance of sound healing. My first impression was feeling I was a garden being tilled...old stagnant energy was being lifted and shaken and I felt a renewed energy pouring through me. In time, I connected my experience with the elements, grounding energy of Earth, sinking and flowing as Water, lifting and moving in spirals as Air, and the warmth and blaze of Fire...as these blended into Spirit I began to journey and fell into what felt like a sleep state. I came out of the sleep state as the resonance shifted, and it gently brought me to stillness over several minutes, softening and slowing until the program ended. I felt refreshed and renewed and was already deciding that "Oh, I have to do this on a regular basis!" And, the fact that there are programs to access many energetic states is so exciting! I can say from the bottom of my freshly renewed heart, DO try this new healing opportunity at Oasis at the Mill! It is truly extraordinary!

You're immediately greeted once walk in and the ambiance is just stunning. I wanted to try their teas and got the Mystic Dragon iced w/ a touch on honey, and oh man it was so good and refreshing! If you like green tea that's smooth, slightly vegetal yet aromatic, then this is for you! Bonus is that they also sell ceremonial matcha powder, which is perfect for me since I make my own matcha lattes at home! :) Not only Oasis is just a tea shop, they also offer community classes and events like yoga, sound healing and meditation, and more!

Well after all these years I finally made it in to experience the special place called Angelina's…read moreTea shop. Such a cool place and Wade the proprietor was a fountain of knowledge. He was able to answer any question I had about the 200 or so teas the shop stocks and knows exactly where his merchandise is located. If you are looking for a special piece of tea equipment, accessories, china tea sets, scones, honeys or anything related his shop has it or is going to get it! The teas are from Africa, Japan, China, India, Egypt just everywhere tea is grown. They have tea blends and some teas for medicinal uses as well. On one side of the shop is a myriad of books filling the wall and tables to spend some time if you like sipping on a tea and reading or I'm thinking playing cards. I spent more time there then I thought looking at the teas and merchandise while Wade explained and described the teas I was interested in, a fun way to spend the time getting an education about teas and their back story which I find very interesting. I came in for a tea strainer and maybe a tea or 2 but I left with more knowledge about the tea world and found a friendly shop with just about everything you would need to accompany a tea purchase and a place to linger w a cuppa as some say.
