I will say they are definitely on the sweeter side, so I personally could only finish one at a time. The staff was really sweet and patient while I took forever to decide what I wanted, and the line moved surprisingly fast. There was also plenty of seating outside. Overall, it was a really nice sweet treat and I'd definitely come back to try some other flavors. Next time I'm trying the coffee because you can't have "Joe" in the name and not make me curious about the coffee.

It also helps that the baristas here are friendly and the coffee, if not spectacular, is solid. They offer coffees, teas, refreshers, and a small selection of baked goods. While a few of the seasonal drinks looked enticing, I ultimately went with an iced salted caramel toffee crunch latte. It definitely ran sweet - I'll ask them to tone it down for future orders - but it made for a smooth sip and a welcome jolt. While you can practically trip and fall into a decent coffee shop in Winston-Salem, Melrose's look and feel help it stand out.
