First off I just would like to say I found a GEM. This coffee shop is so girly and I felt as if I belonged here. You know the term, "I'm just a girl". That was me. It was blush pink everywhere and the decorations is just what I needed to be around to get work done. They have guest WiFi which works pretty well. I was able to get my favorite drink a "hot chai latte" which was very tasty. They also have treats for you to enjoy as well as RAMEN. The service was great. However, I would have liked for the music to be a little bit more quieter as I was trying to get work done but the selection was still great.

    Just arrived!

Hidden gem! Just came here yesterday for the first time and had a wonderful time. It's so hard for me to leave the downtown area but I'm glad I ventured outside the radius because I discovered this amazingly clean, chic, and vibrant space. They serve coffee, pastries, and wine in the most inviting, co-work/hang out friendly space. There's plenty of lounge, couch, and communal seating in the open concept space. We arrived right at noon (Tuesday) and there was only one other person there. We ordered our drinks (salted caramel toffee crunch latte- coffee- and a blue cat latte-tea) and split a nutella croissant. They heated the croissant so it was perfectly warm and chocolaty and the drinks came out in no time. Flavor wise, it hit the spot. I am not even a fan of tea to begin with, but the blue cat was not bad! We hung out for an hour or so and got to chat with the owner and business partner a bit at the end. They also own Sushi Rose in downtown, so I'll add that to my queue. Glad I discovered this place, I will be back. Minor note: they served our drinks in to-go cups and we noticed that a party who arrived after us had been given their drinks in dine-in mugs. It's nice to enjoy real drinkware when we aren't taking orders to go!

Ube Latte was TOP TIER, Thai tea boba was just the right amount of sweetness! My daughter loved her honeydew boba. I wanted to try the almond danish but they ran out, cheese danish wasn't bad- way better than Starbucks cheese danish.

I have been meaning to try Melrose for a while. My son and I decided to try Melrose since we were close by and looking for a coffee treat. The inside is modern and lovely. They have nice couches and places to sit. The baristas were very nice and helpful. They were also sweet to my son. They were knowledgeable about their coffee and gave great recommendations. I ordered the pistachio latte and an almond croissant. My son had the chocolate croissant. Both pastries were delicious. My coffee was also excellent. We enjoyed hanging out while enjoying our food. We plan to come back.

This place has an interesting vibe. Unlike most coffee shops, there aren't a lot of tables for people to use laptops. It's much more focused on facilitating conversations. I ordered a large vanilla latte. That came to over $6 (plus a tip), so it's not the cheapest place in town. I like the dimly lit experience though.

Is this Miami or LA? No it's Greensboro!

This is actually a review for the Greensboro location! We are soooo excited this LA/Miami chic coffee shop has opened in Greensboro. It's so much more than coffee, they are opening a wine bar, sushi/peruvian concept. They even are building a whiskey bar and will have a science themed speakeasy for the kids! Nevin, the owner, sat down with us as we enjoyed our ferrier roche and saluted caramel iced almond milk lattes. Super cool guy and grateful the WS location has expanded to Greensboro.

    Cute seating area!

Cute place, great coffee! We came in on a Saturday morning en route to some antiquing and it was quiet: just a few folks and the nicest baristas. I got a vanilla tiramisu latte with almond milk and oh it was creamy and very delicious. Def major tiramisu vibes! Hubs got a ferrero rocher latte and he's pretty sure there was one in it because it was so chocolatey and decadent! Barely something to bring up: the neon light art on the left side of the store is a VIBE but BRIGHT. I think if I was working there during the day I would need my back against it or a guaranteed migraine. Fantastic coffee and service though!

Excellent coffee, classy vibe, lots of room to relax with friends. Staff super friendly, very hospitable. Come try.

Swankiest coffee shop in town, if not super functional.

Easily the swankiest coffee shop in Winston-Salem, with good drinks and service, so not just fancy on the surface. My biggest problem was how the seating was set up. The sofas faced each other for conversation but there was no place to set your drink down! That said, will happily revisit when I need some caffeine on that side of town.

In the hunt for coffee, we found this cool cafe via Yelp and then read the reviews. And the reviews are good! Taken right in to the "Cali" experience by the relaxed atmosphere set up by the interior decorating and playlist, we walked to the order counter in back. The coffee recommendations and assistance we received in our initial order and the follow up friendliness of the staff and owner, Benjamin, are a big part of the 5 stars. We chose lattes and iced drip coffee. Family members enjoyed their lattes and my light roast Brazilian drip coffee (black) was smooth. After reading a review that mentioned a "secret menu", I knew I had to ask. The off-menu item was a mocha strawberry latte (2% milk recommended) and Benjamin walked me through the options including sweetness level. When I took my first taste, my taste buds were thrilled. Like a liquid ice cream drink, the flavor combo provided the perfect combo of chocolate, strawberry and milk. While coffee was our choice, teas, adult beverages and bakery items are also available, including macaroons and an El Camino brownie. I'm one of a growing number who are thankful that Benjamin and crew, have relocated from CA to the Winston-Salem area. When we are back in the area and coffee is needed, I'll definitely stop back here.

Wonderful atmosphere with dark moody vibes and comfy couches. They have a selection of your traditional coffees and then some crazy dessert lattes that can also be turned into frappes. I ordered vanilla pistachio with soy and it was perfect and not too sweet. We met the owner who was so welcoming and so passionate about what he does and we fell into wonderful conversation . Any coffee shop that has warm vibes, a wide selection of coffees (and tea and wine), and some solid baked goods is always a win. But add in a passionate and driven family owned coffee shop where the owner takes time to make sure your coffee is perfect and to engage in conversation about their vision for expanding culture and diversity with their upcoming projects in the triad makes this way above the rest.

    Macaroons from France!

California Dream' Love this place!! And you will too!! I found my new coffee spot and I don't even drink coffee!! (I'm more of a tea person haha) I wish I could give them 10 stars!!! Anytime I can support a local business I'm all in, especially if they are my homies from LA :) As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere itself is like nothing you've ever seen in Winston. About time we get something NEW and FRESH in town. Move over Starbucks, there's a new cat in town and it's called Melrose Cafe. I was immediately welcomed by Nevin, the owner, when I walked in. Him and his staff are the friendliest people I have ever met. I'm not exaggerating. He told me about their secret menu, which of course took me back to my In-N-Out days. My Cali peeps know what I mean lol. He also did an overview on the rest of their menu, which was super helpful. They have a lot of offer! Anyways WOW....the options they have are so unique and interesting! I plan to try something new every time I go because everything sounds amazing!!! Things like their Fruity Pebble Latte or Blueberry Lavender Latte...wowowowowow Aside from their secret menu there are a multitude of choices for coffee, tea, and signature drinks. Plus baked goods and savory treats. Alongside my coffee I ordered a chicken croissant sandwich and 2 macaroons. OMG!!!! There are no words to describe how amazing everything tasted. You have got to go there for yourself and see. Don't delay. GO!! Like right NOW!!! You will not be disappointed. Your tastebuds will thank you! **The cafe is also available to reserve for events or special occasions.

Talk about a WHOLE. VIBE. Lucky for my husband and I, when we visited Melrose last Friday, it was their first day serving wine, champagne, and Bellinis so at 12 pm, it was definitely socially appropriate to partake ;) I ordered the lavender rosemary Bellini as well as the watermelon rose Bellini. My husband tried one of their many fancy mimosas and all we gatta say is... WOW! We didn't get the opportunity to try any coffee but no worries there, we HAVE to return to try EVERYTHING. From their sleek, L.A.-esque atmosphere to the hospitality of the owner/employees, this is a place you're just... drawn to. If that even makes any sense. Iykyk. It was also a nice perk that the owner sat down to chat about their upcoming projects and let's just say they have big plans for EVERY part of the triad... so stay tuned

I had looked at the instagram page before arriving and saw a drink that I wanted to try. I couldn't remember the name when I got there and asked for the drink menu. I ordered the drink and went to find a seat with my friends. Even though it was fairly crowded, there was ample seating. One of my friends ordered the $5 old fashioned and ended up ordering several more. Definitely a great deal for the price and alcohol ratio. I chose the hoopla and then a sidecar. Both were well executed. I wanted to try some of the food, but unfortunately we had eaten before arriving. Several people we spoke to said the jerk wings were a must try so I'll definitely come back for those! Outside of the first interaction with the bartender, the other one was very pleasant and continued to serve us with no issues.

But the way they served it today, has my mouth watering. I ran to the review center to write this down before my main course even came. They had pickled onions on top- soft and slightly crisp and amazing. Super easy on the mouth. Then a large piece of bacon and a perfect onion ring on top. The bacon.... Idk what they did to that strip but it was sweet and perfectly salty- crisp and fall apart in your mouth tender. The best piece of bacon I've ever had and that's just the salad. The BLT salad is also good. The bread. I could write a sonnet about this bread. Today it was served hot- warm and soft on the inside, crispy on the outside- and a bit messy with the covering but so worth it. I would return here for the bread alone! The service is always pretty good. The drinks are hit or miss for me. I wish the wait staff had a bit more skill in ways of suggestion- they have an extensive menu of choices when it comes to kinds of gin and other things, but limited cocktails, and no suggestions on what to order beyond the already prepped cocktails. I've gotten a few poorly made drinks here before. But I definitely come here time and time again for the food! The bread is messy but absolutely worth every crumb that flies. Ask for extra butter. When it's hot? Divine. We split two meals, my husband got the bacon wrapped filet mignon and I got the wood grilled salmon. He got steak fries (meh for me but he loves them) I got the parm mashed potato's (delicious but could use some green herbs) and the port mushrooms. The port mushrooms are good, but they give you sooo much so I never am able to finish them. A side to share for sure. The plating could use some work, the presentations are plain, but it doesn't even matter once you take that first bite because holy smokes. They KNOW how to cook a salmon, and a steak. Both are so so good but that salmon is my absolute favorite. It's in my top five places to order salmon for sure. Amazing meal, will absolutely be back. Short Accessibility notes this time: Lighting is low, bathrooms are decent, variety of seating options! Booths are comfortable.
