What can I say about his high end home decorative store?! They never disappoint! They definitely had a great sale going on and I am obsessed with their faux candles. I can serioulsy just live in this store. Pottery Barn, thank you for making my decorating choices easy. Tried to return an item after spending around 500. They were very rude will not ever go back. It was only one of many picture frames.

I registered here for my wedding and they have always been helpful. I always felt a little looked down upon but maybe it's because I'm use to warmer people. I always felt like they we're annoyed with my questions but they none the less would help me. I love all my gifts from pottery barn and am glad I registered here. read more

I'm rating on-line ordering. So far I have ordered 7 items on line; furniture to decor. After I've placed these orders and received an estimated shipping date, Pottery Barn has notified me that the item is either backordered or the shipping date has been pushed out 2 weeks or more! In the description of the product they should state, up-front, that the item is backordered so I can consider something else. And, they should enter a realistic shipping date when I place the order. read more

Worst Experience. Extremely poor Customer Service. Less than Honest. My wife and I came in late Sunday afternoon on April 30, 2017. The store was not busy but we found a nice Outdoor 9' Capri unbrella on displayed and wanting to purchase one. After a long search on her computer without results, a young lady sale clerk deferred the search to Lindsey (the Store Manager). We were waiting while Lindsey continue to search with occasional talking on her walkie-talkie as though she was communicating with someone in the stock room to find the umbrella for us....all the while she was ring up sales for a customer. After waited a long time without any eye's contact or any word of status updating, we inquired the young sale lady who is standing idle if anyone has found the umbrella for us which she turned to ask Lindsey who then told her that it was all Sold Out and urged us to go to another PB for the item as the PB policy does not allow them to sell the display item... and said .."if it's still available in another store you have to pay for shipping charges, also this item is not available online". Here is the Less Than Honest part from the manager, Lindsey....and remember she told us that it was all sold out and company policy is not selling the display item. Next day, Monday May 01, 2017 at 10:30am I decided to make a cold call to this same store in WA. Square to check the availabity of the same 9" Capri umbrella because I did not trust the manager answer from last night. After a long check on the computer the person who answered my call found ONE AVAILABLE IN STOCK and ask for more time to check the stock room to be sure it is physical there, which I fully expect at this point. She confirmed that there is ONE available and asked if I want to have it hold or pay on the phone. I thanked her for helping me and signed off Needless to say I felt so disgusted for being treated badly last night and wondering what retail establishment willing to walked a customer this way but after reading some other reviews on this site I am not feeling being sigled out and actually feel real sorry for Pottery Barn. So Pottery Barn. For whatever it's worth, read some of these one star reviews and then go to Consumer Affairs website for more of the same to get your 'weather reports' before sailing on. read more

Nearly a year ago I ordered an 8 x 10 Diamond Wrapped rug from Pottery Barn. It didn't take long before I came to the conclusion that I had made a huge mistake. The rug sheds like crazy, it began to fade immediately and if you spill anything on it good luck getting the stain out. Within six months I was shopping for a new rug. When I spoke to a sales associate at the store he brushed it off and changed the subject. My take on Pottery Barn is that the items look very appealing but the quality just isn't there. read more

I came in wearing jeans and a button-down, and I can honestly say this is the first time I've felt profiled in a store. As a young professional who just purchased a home, I came here with my friend to get decor and furniture. For the duration of our 30 minute shopping experience we received quite a few side-ways glances and zero greetings or assistance from any of the unoccupied employees, even though we obviously had questions. There was only one other shopper in the store and we finally decided to shop somewhere else. I'd dread to think how other people are treated in this store if we were treated this way. read more

I recently wanted to give my living room a new look without totally redoing it, so I went to Pottery Barn at Washington Square to get some ideas. Mary Liz was super helpful in showing me some options for accessories and new pillows that acheived just what I wanted (new look!) without going all out and replacing all my furniture. I appreciated her taking the time to learn my likes/dislikes and what my lifestyle is (2 small kids) and not just push me to buy to most expensive options and move along to another customer. Will definitely be coming back when it's time to update my office and master bedroom. read more

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE OR ANY OTHER POTTERY BARN STORE! I spent $10,000.00 on furniture at this store for my beach house on the Oregon Coast on 10/02/16. It is now 1/06/17 and per my paperwork, I was promised delivery of the furniture by 10/30/16 and it is still not here! I did get a few pieces of the order delivered right before Christmas but the delivery ended up being an absolute disaster! I confirmed the day and time that I was promised for the first delivery at least 4 times with Pottery barn employees Kathy Denning, and Mary Liz as well as the delivery company. They all absolutely promised me that the delivery would be made at the scheduled time. I was very concerned about this because I rent out my property as a vacation rental and I had guests arriving from out of state the evening of the scheduled delivery. In order to get ready for the new furniture that was arriving, I hired some movers to move the the old furniture out to make room for the new items. Unfortunately, the delivery guys for the new furniture never showed up but my renters of course did! Because there was no furniture to sit on in the house and my renters did not want to be there while furniture was being moved in, I not only had to refund their rent, but also put them up in a hotel. Our home is a large beachfront home in Cannon Beach that will accommodate large groups of people. As a result, it cost me over $2000.00 in lost rents and hotel charges for the family. The furniture did finally arrive later that night about 9:00 PM but the delivery guys could not speak a word of English, and my helper and I had to help them assemble the furniture as they had no clue how it went together. To add insult to injury, it was a rainy night and they carried a $2500 couch into the front door unprotected from the rain because they had removed the protective plastic at the warehouse. The couch was completely soaked and dirty from the moving. The people at the Pottery Barn store have been no help and now say that the balance of my order will not arrive until Mid February 2017! That's almost 5 months from the date that I paid for all of the furniture in full! What a complete failure of a business. I will never buy anything from Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, West Elm, or any other related Pottery Barn business again. They are a complete Joke. read more

I would have given 0 stars if it were an option. Do not order furniture from Pottery Barn. I ordered a bathroom vanity and matching mirror, as well as some matching rugs etc. online on August 22, 2015. All were confirmed "in stock" and ready for delivery on the day of my order. 5 weeks later and many phone calls to them taking up hours of my time, I am still being told that they don't know where my order is, don't know when I will get it (at least another 3 weeks they say), and they don't have an escalation path for complaints. When I demanded to speak to a supervisor this morning they said someone would call me back in 48 hours. Not holding my breath. Funny, the items still show available for shipment online and they had no problem charging my credit card almost $5,000 the day after I placed the order. I will be canceling this order today and will never order online from them again. If you need something in a specified period of time I would suggest you don't either. read more
