Disappointed with Quality and Service I purchased a King-size 'Kravet Arboretum Petite Floral Reversible Duvet' with matching shams from Pottery Barn. Since they didn't carry the size in-store, the staff ordered it online for me (after tax and shipping, the total came to $380). Unfortunately, the shipment arrived with an overwhelming, toxic odor--similar to old motor oil or exhaust fumes. The smell was so STRONG it filled my entire home, and I had to open all the doors and windows to air it out. I returned the first set, and the staff ordered a replacement from one of their main distribution centers. Sadly, the second set arrived with the exact same issue. I ultimately returned everything to the Pottery Barn store in The Woodlands. The staff claimed they had never encountered this issue before, and despite the fact that I've spent nearly $1,900 at this Pottery Barn, they offered no resolution beyond a refund. It was frustrating, especially given the time and energy I spent dealing with this. Overall, I'm disappointed. I won't be purchasing any more bedding from any Pottery Barn, and the customer service dealing with this whole ordeal was underwhelming. read more

Zero stars! My sister and I went in to buy some things. Store was empty, 2 employees behind the counter. We were in there 15 mins. NOT ONCE did we get asked if we needed anything or help! Online shoppers beware!! Website provides false in stock information and they refuse to cancel the rest of the order! I bought stockings they were in stock until I paid then the email stated they were back ordered until April!! Pottery Barn will not cancel my full order so I am out over $100 for stockings that I won't be able to use, considering half my family won't have one! I have always loved pottery Barn but I will no longer be shopping with them since I cannot trust them to fix their mistakes! read more

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. I've shopped here for years and started my wedding registry at this location (we finished it at the Highland Village location since it's a much larger store). Customer service here is hit or miss, but I've had that experience pretty much everywhere in The Woodlands. They do have good sales, especially after Christmas, and the store is never crowded. read more

In September 2022, I spent almost $10K on the Farmhouse king bedroom set (including bed, two end tables, and dresser), Folsom console table, and set of 6 Payson counter stools. Nov. 3: A delivery was scheduled for this date through Ryder. The truck arrived with only the two end tables from the bedroom set. Nov. 10: A second delivery was scheduled. The items didn't arrive, and there was no call from Ryder. Nov. 15: Third scheduled delivery date. Ryder truck arrived with the dresser, but the wrong bed. Dec. 21: The counter stools arrived. Dec. 24: Another delivery was scheduled, but Ryder called that afternoon to say they wouldn't be arriving. Jan. 3: Another delivery was scheduled with no arrival. Jan. 19: Ryder arrived with the wrong console table. They also delivered the head and footboards of the bed, but not the base or the rails. There have been 7 separate delivery dates, and I am still waiting for the rest of my bed and the correct console table. I'm currently storing a console table I didn't order and an unusable headboard and footboard. Meanwhile, I've missed 7 days of work waiting for deliveries that didn't happen, or were wrong. I've called Pottery Barn multiple times to work this out. Each time, I've been told this isn't their fault and there's nothing they can do. They blame Ryder, and suggest I call them. I disagree. I didn't choose Ryder to make these deliveries - Pottery Barn did. They are responsible for making sure the products I paid for are delivered to me. I've also called Ryder - again, multiple times - and they blame Pottery Barn for sending the wrong items and not following through. Pottery Barn isn't cheap. When I bought this furniture and scheduled these delivery date(s), I expected a quality product and experience. Every time I take a day off work to be available for these botched deliveries, it costs me time and money. I want an adult, either at Pottery Barn or Ryder, to accept some responsibility and make this right. Hopefully this review will get someone's attention, and help me get a resolution to this issue. read more

My experiences at this Pottery Barn have been excellent; I've continually received friendly and personalized customer service from 99% of the staff over the years. We usually hear about the bad encounters but wanted to share it's people like Sonya there who go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your purchasing experience. I called to order a heavy blanket that could be express shipped since cold temps are about to hit as my son is arriving in town. Was trying to avoid the Christmas rush and parking craziness but Sonya suggested I order ahead, pull up to the back door this morning, and they would run it out to me. Made the transaction cheaper and so easy while she remained cheerful during a busy time for them. I appreciate the consistency of their staff's assistance and will continue to shop this location in the months/years ahead. read more

So I ordered a bed from pottery barn in February 2019. They told me it would take 6-9 weeks to come in. It came on time but was damaged, so they said they would replace it and said it would be delivered in May. Well it came in but was wrong again. Then they told me they would rush a new one and I would have it in July. Needless to say I did not get my bed until December. They offered me a small discount. It was not enough for the trouble and wait they put me through. So I got over it and thought I would try them again. So I ordered a dresser from they this July. It was delivered on time but came in damaged. We will see what happens with this. I think it will be the last time I ever order from pottery barn. I read more

Let me first start off by saying that I love pottery barn, even PB Kids and Teen, I've shopped at them all. But my experience at this PB left something to be desired. Without all the unnecessary details of the transaction, I'll just let you know I have NEVER been treated so rudely in all my life. The associate working their, Celeste, does not need to be in customer service. She was blatantly condescending and belittling. I will not be shopping at this store again because of Celeste and I hope PB does something to better screen and train their associates. Her behavior to a paying customer is unacceptable. read more

I purchased a large amount of furniture from this store. I really liked my design consultant. Once things are ordered though the consultants have very little control or input to get them delivered when expected. I had to tap into the social media dept to get things done. The manager is nice however does not use the resources available to her to meet the customers needs. Honestly- go shop then order online. Just as much service if not more. read more

This review is for pottery barn kids specifically and well as their customer service line. I was pregnant with my first baby...been waiting a long time for this....and my mom wanted to get us something special. We picked out a custom wingback glider power recliner and placed the order. I was so excited despite the fact this was a very expensive chair. We were told it would arrive in 6 to 8 weeks. we placed the order on July 19th, which meant we would not get the chair until a couple of weeks after the new baby arrived. We recieved no communication at all after placing the order. 6 weeks came and went. We called the store and were told it was still on time. 8 weeks came and went. Called again and were told it would be delivered in 2 more weeks. That's 10 weeks..not 6 to 8 as we were told. No explanation was given nor any apology made for the delay. I had returned to work at this point and still had no rocket for me and my new baby. 10 weeks came and went...we called again. We were told the chair was sent to New Jersey. No explanation why this mistake happened, no apology for the delay, no effort to make anything right. I have cried each time I hear that the chair is not coming and at this point I had very little hope we were ever going to get it. We were told it would be delivered on the 5th. I woke up at 330am that morning to feed my baby and told him that evening and weekend we would have our new lovely chair and we could snuggle and rock together. I cried again because I was so looking forward to this time with my baby. I received a call while at work that the chair was being delivered. My mom was there watching the baby at my home. The chair was brought in and set up. It did not work. It would not recline. The motor would not come on. I was so upset. They took our chair back. We called customer service again. ( I forgot to mention each call to customer service resulted in over 30 min calls, with rude staff, I was hung up on once, and no resolution for any of the calls). This time was no different. No apology. No plan to make this right. No supervisor would speak to us. We were told we could send the chair back (which had already happened) or they could send a replacement. I asked what that meant and the customer service rep had zero response. He told me he would have someone call me that day or the following at the latest. I reviewed my phone number and specifically asked for a phone call NOT an email. I never recieved a call. We did get an email asking for pictures of the damaged furniture. I went in to the store at the Woodlands Mall where we placed the order. I asked to speak to the manager. I told her our entire story. She seemed empathetic and did apologize. She also took down our contact information and name. She told me that she would reach out to her district manager and they would call us back. This never happened either. No one from pottery barn has made any effort to make this right. I told her that day that this was a really big deal to me. This was the one big gift from my parents to me and the baby. I am their only child and this is their first grandchild. My mom has a house full of pottery barn furniture. We have cancelled our pottery barn credit cards and accounts. I told the manager that they not only ruined this special gift for me and my baby but they also lost an entire family of customers. I will never shop at a pottery barn again. Yes...this was that big of a deal and their lack of customer response made the entire situation even more upsetting. I know at this point they have no intention to make anything right or even have the common courtesy to give us a call and apologize. read more

We recently built a new home in The Woodlands and were given a Pottery Barn gift certificate. I visited The Woodlands Mall store today and spent just over an hour wandering the floor looking at various items. There were only a few other shoppers and plenty of staff working, yet no one approached me to see if I needed help. When I asked questions, I was given brief answers, before the staff moved on to more important things like stocking shelves and arranging floor displays. In this age of online shopping, customer service is vital for keeping brick & mortar stores going. Good customer service could have made up for the time and effort of going to the mall, looking for parking and rummaging through overpriced merchandise, but none was to be found at this location, so I left. read more

Pottery Barn is an elegant and charming store. This ONE is not. Last night around 5 or so my partner and I had a very disenchanting time at this Pottery Barn location nestled within The Woodlands mall. I am surprised no one else has written a review. I live much closer to The First Colony Mall Pottery Barn. The customer service at that location is always terrific to say the least. So back to my review of The Woodlands Pottery Barn location. My partner and I walked in to the section with towels and bath materials. No one said "Hello", "How may I help you?" or anything similar. I was completely stunned. I figured they were busy. We kept walking and I was sure one of the many women employed by PB standing around laughing and not helping anyone would invite us in and show us around. We were strongly considering getting picture frames and beautiful scented candles. Not one employee came over to help us, gave us two seconds of their time, or even provided any eye contact. We continued through the large store until we reached the back section where another entrance is located. Four or five employees stood around helping one person. At this point I was a very disgruntled customer. I loudly said to my partner, "They are lucky I am not a mystery shopper here. This service is terrible." No one even glanced up. Wow!!! We must be on The Boiling Point or Candid camera. We made our way back to the first entrance and no one ever said a thing to her. I told my partner I was giving them one star on YELP. She said do it and let me read it when you finish. I know like Starbucks, Pottery Barn provides domestic partner benefits. They have stores all across California and time after time they are rated highly as both employer and customer service provider. I do not want to make a faulty hypothesis. I can't help but wonder if I was older, looked richer, and especially if I was with a man, if my experience would have differed. I believe strongly that it would have been much better. We would have gotten quicker service, and I would be giving at least 4 stars to this location. I promise to send a copy of my review to the corporate office. No one deserves to be treated the way my partner and I were if they are different from the employees. Most were blonde and appeared affluent. So PB Woodlands Mall please work on your customer service!!!! Read over your employee anti-discrimination clause and treat everyone you come in contact the way you would want us to treat you. read more

I went to the Pottery Barn in The Woodlands, Texas. I was totally ignored and was never waited on personally. When I asked for help they told me I was next. Two more were waited on before me. I left and spent $1600 at Macy's. It is the second time this has happened at the same store. I was dressed casual and those waited on were dressed up. I believe it was deciding factor of who was waited on and who was not. Just as a side note I am a professor at a Houston University and my husband is President of a Fortune 500 company. Oh well I will never go there again. read more
