Had my Pottery Barn Buchanan sectional for less than 1 month and started having problems with it. Several phone calls, text and emails and Pottery Barn agreed to pick up the sectional and refund my money. I do not recommend Pottery Barn for the Buchanan sectional. I'm not a big fan of Pottery Barn because it's both expensive and seems a little excessive, as in the kind of things that we don't really need to buy. But if we go in here we'll see things that we want and that will sometimes cause us to buy them and spend money unnecessarily. This location is inside of First Colony Mall in Sugar Land. We were quickly greeted as we entered. This was the first time we had been to this particular Potter Barn and we were impressed. It's not the largest one that we've ever been in but it seem to have a good variety of inventory on display. This store had a assortment of autumnal items that we were looking for. We were greeted by three separate associates in our visit to the store. I can definitely recommend this location for your household goods. read more

I really like this Pottery Barn. It's in the mall but it isn't at the same time! And since I don't love the mall, the fact that I can get in and out of here without ever having to actually go into the mall is great. Recently I've been on a cleaning kick. I'm reorganizing huge sections of my house and decided that I needed to add some furniture to the mix. I looked online at many stores both chain and local and found that PB was having a sale. Most of the console tables I was looking at and liked were in the $800 - $2000 range, but I wasn't willing to pay that much. I saw a console table I really liked on the PB website and decided to go see it in person. I called and they were kind enough to check if they had it in the showroom and what the in-store price would be. I was glad that the in-store price and online price were the same. I put a hold on the table over the phone and went in the next day to check it out. Wow, I was glad I put a hold on it because it was the last one in the city! I loved the table and so did the husband so we purchased it. The nice ladies at the store said we could purchase it and then pick it up at our leisure. They didn't mind if it took a week or more to pick it up. We ended up borrowing a large vehicle and picked it up 2 days later, but they honestly would have let us leave it there as long as needed. When we arrived to pick it up, they had it ready, wheeled it to the car, and helped us load it. They are very helpful and accommodating. Pottery Barn packages their furniture like nobody's business! I was worried that it might get damaged in the car or move into the house. Silly me. The amount of cardboard, tape, and Styrofoam in and on this table was crazy. It was well wrapped and protected. After unwrapping the table, I really feel like I got my money's worth. It's a great table for under $600 and fits well in our house. I'd definitely go back to this store. It's large and has a wide selection of items to choose from. I liked how helpful they were from putting things on hold to loading things in my car. Overall a good experience. read more

The service at this store is awful. The woman behind the counter took one look at my husband and I when we walked in the store and I suppose she made the assumption we weren't going to be spending a lot of money and decided she wouldn't help us. Instead she carried on a 15 minute conversation with someone who had already finished checking out as I stood there waiting to ask her a question about items I had seen online that said they had in stock instore but I could not find after looking on my own. She finally looked over to me all annoyed and asked if she could help me and I showed her what I was looking for on my phone and she stated they were in the back and just stood there. I said well can you go get them, I looked at her like what do you think I am standing here for? She obviously didn't want to help me and although I like the items I am hesitant to buy from such people as I don't know if she gets commission. I left and I will just buy what I want online. Do these sales associates not understand that online business is taking over? The days of them having a job at brick and mortar stores could come to an end, and the only reason I go to stores anymore is for people to answer questions and for customer service, otherwise I can just order stuff online and not have to deal with these kind of rude and incompetent people. The only reason I even gave this store 2 stars is for the overall quality of Pottery Barn items. We went in today to browse around and see what new home fashions are in. We sat on different couches and were quickly greeted by Gwen, the manager. We started to ask her questions about the different materials and customization of a couch we really liked. She went above and beyond to show us different styles, different fabrics, and gave us all the details on the couch we were inclined towards. While we took naps, played with all the pillows and imagined our movie-watching nights, she quickly put together a quote for us. She printed the quote with a hefty discount due to their current 30% off sale and even sent us home with a fabric sample. She was so easy to work with, was not pushy or sale-sly and made our customer experience top notch. We were not looking to buy today but she was so helpful and I'm almost sure I'll want to buy from her in the future. She offered to have their designer come to our house to take measurements before we order the couch --that's customer service! The furniture is made in the US (South Carolina) and that's something I support. PB has really nice home furnishings and decor and you can tell the quality is above average, however, their customer service seals the deal for me! Thank you Gwen! read more

I ordered on line and can't seem to get my sofa delivered. 1) I never received an email to schedule my delivery. The online tracking says that the order would be available for delivery between July 9 and July 23. 2) I called to find out when I would get my sofa on July 23. I was on the phone for an hour. I was disconnected 3 times. I was eventually told my order would be delivered today, July 29. I was told that I would receive a phone call or email from the delivery service the day before it would be delivered. I was given a refund of 15% for the inconvenience. 3) I did not receive an email or a phone call about the delivery. I had confirmed both my phone number and email on July 23. I also receive email everyday from Pottery Barn in the form of advertisements. 4) I received a phone call from a man identifying himself as the Pottery Barn delivery driver telling me he would be by in 15 minutes at 8:47 a.m. 5) I received another phone call from the delivery driver at 9:04 a.m. asking me if I was at 9850 Richmond. It is CLEARLY stated on the order that the billing address was 9850 Richmond and the shipping address was 514 Shady Dale Drive Stafford, Texas. I was in the process of moving when I placed the orders. The two addresses are 20 minutes apart. 6) I called the customer service line. I was told that I would receive a call back with a new delivery time. I never received a call. read more

The customer service here is top notch. I ordered a couch online and then went in to check out the fabric I had selected. Elvia approached me and gave me a run down of all the fabrics. I quickly realized that the linen I had ordered would not hold up with my toddlers and panicked because I had already placed the order! Elvia helped me cancel, re-order, and clued me in to the savings/rewards I could get if I got a PB card and put the order on that. I made almost $400 back in reward coupons and immediately paid off the card. I found out a month later that the phone operator had not cancelled my first order like he was supposed to and called Elvia in a panic. She took care of it. My couch and the other furniture was delivered today and was perfect, except for the coffee table. I didn't realize it until the movers left, but the corner of it had a big white flaw on it. I called Elvia and she immediately arranged for another one to be sent to me. She is pretty amazing. I have never ordered PB before and I am super happy with the quality and service. I will definitely return to this store for future purchases because the customer service is the best. Pottery Barn STOLE MY MONEY!! About a month ago I went to the store to return some placemats and napkins I had bought online. Steve, the manager, and another female sales associate (think her name was Jackie) said they couldn't credit my account at the time since I had already created a return label. HOWEVER, Steve said they could mail and return to warehouse, and I should see the refund within a week. I trusted him!! It's now been over a month, and no credit. I called 10 days ago, and customer rep Ann said my account would be refunded $277 within 3-5 business days. Thought all was taken care of. Well, it hasn't. I call back again today and Deanna tells me she doesn't see any notes, just that I called. She tries calling the store, but they are with customers, so she'll have to call me back. All you need to do Pottery Barn, is refund the money you have now stolen from me. I do not trust you. And definitely not store manager STEVE!! This should have been a mindless transaction, and it's turned into over a month long wait and huge waste of valuable time. I've spent thousands of dollars at PB and will NEVER shop here again. Rest assured, and thanks to social media as well, I will share my experience with everyone. This is a ZERO star review. read more

I was wearing a floral black top, and while I was looking around, three workers passed by me and asked if I needed any plates and silverware to go with my 'tablecloth-like shirt,' cackling as they walked away; and when I addressed it to another worker, she passed it off. I was in this store earlier today with my best friend who was buying furniture for her new home. At first the female sales associate was eager to help since my friend was going to buy big pieces of furniture for her home and open a credit card as well. We noticed a sign that said a credit card could be opened right on the phone but the woman said "the store gets credit for the cards if you open it with us. It's what keeps us in business." So my friend agreed to open the credit card with her in store. As my friend is filling out the info she mentions she's an associate with the company. The woman's entire disposition changed instantly. She couldn't be bothered. At a point in the transaction there was a question about income. While my friend is an associate with the company, she does have a well paying full time job. When the amount was entered the sales associate responded with "they have a way of checking those things" implying that the information was inaccurate. Once the credit card was approved my friend had questions about a certain material used and the woman was dismissive. When asked if there was a sample of the material the woman flipped through a few swatches she had and said "nope. Don't have it." She did the same with a few books she had there. Then we looked at one and low and behold there's the swatch. We ended up leaving and not purchasing anything as this womans rudeness ruined what was supposed to be a happy and exciting experience. After that experience I certainly will not be shopping there in the future. I will drive further away to another store to purchase my things, and I'm not an associate, so the other store will get full credit for all my purchases.
