DON'T PURCHASE THERE. I placed on order at its Vancouver Store on Oct 7th 2024. Between November and January, I went back to the store a few times asking for an update on the shipment and each time I was informed that the delivery was on its way and it should arrive "next week". On Jan 3rd, after a sales person gave me the same answer, the sales who actually made my order came and told me that the furniture was delivered on Oct 15th. Being honest, this was my first time here and didn't m ow what to expect out of a kids store. I don't have kids but this store makes you want to! Everything is so beautiful! Service was great. Mind you, I was there to buy a couple gift cards and the associates were friendly and pleasant. I ended up buying 2 towel capes and one associate offered to gift wrap it for me. For free! And they were so beautiful!! My only complaint is that everything there is quite expensive. The Halloween costumes were on average over $100 each. Yikes. Tip. If you're feeling adventurous, they sell area rugs here and a few of them aren't baby themed so you can definitely use it in the main areas read more

Online purchase scam alert - I ordered something in Feb and it says "delivered" online but it wasn't. Each time I call they say delivery is delayed and denied that anyone said it would be sooner than June. They also denied they charged me (which, they did, twice, per my credit card records) and therefore cannot refund me. Never thought I'd have to worry about this from a business like Pottery Barn. read more

My wife and I were walking up and down Granville just window shopping when she saw an ornament in the window she just had to have. While we don't really frequent this store much every one I've been to always has something I wish I had when I was a kid whether it was themed bed sheets or the high quality furniture that are actually playable etc. There's some cool stuff in Pottery Barn Kids that would be nice to nieces and nephews before they get too old for it but the beauty is most of the stuff is sturdy so it can be passed on or recycled. read more

You would imagine, with such a high price tag and reputation of the brand that their customer service would be excellent. It is no where near as customer centric at all. In fact they don't give a damn about you after you paid up. Due to their system errors we ended up with two orders of the same crib. When I noticed I got charged twice I immediately called and the customer service lady said she would cancel the first order. I got the confirmation about the cancellation in writing in my email and thought everything was ok. Two weeks later I got this crib delivered two times. I called back asking them why I still got two orders. Now they said the first order was not cancelled ( then how the heck did I receive a confirmation both through the email and on the phone??). Now I ask them to come and pick up one to return it b/c I don't have a car big enough to return it. The rep said sure and emailed me some return labels. Two weeks later still no one showed up to pick it up. I called again and the rep said "we will look into it". Another 2 weeks passed still no one came or called. When I finally got impatient and called the last time, the rep now told me that they never offer pick ups ( really ... now you say that). I told them in the very beginning that it was their system errors that got me into this situation and I don't have a car big enough to return it to their specified address. The rep's condescending tone got me really angry. She basically told me to find a way to return it or I won't have a refund. Wow total extortion. I would stay clear of this over inflated brand and would never order anything if this is how they treat customers. Walking into this store is like walking into a wonderland. One side of the store, all things girly, and on the other, everything for the boys. I must admit, I am a bit envious when I see how nicely and pretty the girl's side is, and they're the rooms that every little girls wishes they had. Pink, polka dots, butterflies, flowers, mini dresses, princess beds, oh, the list goes on... Then for the boys: Batman, basketball, cars, and even a Canucks bed sheet set! And always, there's a baby section, with the cutest baby gear and furnishings. Shopping at Potterybarn Kids is just a terrible, terrible experience. I can't believe this store is still open. Trying to purchase a lamp goes like this: -Ask for the lamp you like. -Store clerk spends ten minutes hunting and pecking on the computer. -Radios a person in the store room (who may or may not exist) -Wait ten more minutes -have two more clerks pulled into the conversation, who head for the store room -clerks come back. We may or may not have the lamp in stock. -ten more minutes hunting and pecking on the computer. -more clerks come back. Only thing missing at this point is the clown car. -they don't have the lamp but you can take the slightly broken display model for zero discount. -clerks come back. we do have the lamp. Later that day return the lamp because it didn't work!!!! Now multiply this by the ten items we needed to purchase for our little girls room. Also note almost anything that isn't linen or knick knacks can't be purchased in the store and must be ordered..minimum 3 weeks for delivery. Strangely you can have it overnighted from their site no problem, but the store doesn't have access to its own products for a month( and no they can't use their own site to get production the store. That would make sense) Dear sweet Jesus, please spare yourself the pain and shop elsewhere! read more

Bunch of thieves, I canceled an order from them back in July they sent me an email with receipt that the order was canceled. In September I received another email from them that the order is being shipped, confused I sent them an email with the original canceled order receipt showing the order was canceled. They apologize and send me another email confirmation that the order is canceled. Fast forward to November 13th , I received another email confirmation that the order has been canceled, I found this to be strange so I immediately checked my credit card and lo and behold on the the same day that they sent me a canceled order receipt they also charged my credit card for the canceled order. I've called the store and the costumer service line to try to get this resolved, for three weeks now I've only been getting the run around and they have yet to return my money. I have escalated this with my credit card company fraud department and will also file a complaint with BBB. read more

I love Pottery Barn Kids stuff. I've been buying lots of baby items for gifts over the past 10 years (mostly online and in the States) When PBK opened in Vancouver I was delighted. I go in the store once awhile and browse n check out what's new. Usually I get their stroller baby blankets and they are the best gift ever for newborns. However I have to say, aside from their beautiful products. Their service is horrible. Most the time I go in there, there is no greeting from the sales. When you ask them a question, unless you are asking for furniture or other large items, You will never get any decent customer services. Which is so unfortunate. For a store like this large as a whole, they should train their staff to treat all customer equally. It does not matter if they purchase $20 or $2000. Customer service is the most important aspect in a retail businesses. I purchased three items today and the sales named 'Nasi' was not too friendly when she realized I got 2 sales blankets and 1 baby beach wrap reg price. Total to be about $65. When I asked her for a small box, she pretended she did not hear me. anyways if I can I would rather buy things online then come to this store. read more

Great products but I wish their service was the same. I have had nothing but issues with them. I am due in June and in December i went and spent close to $3000 on baby Furnature. I have everything except for the dresser and this won't come until 3'days before my due date (June 3rd). They mass produce the stuff and cannot fill orders for 6 months... Crazy! I'm also registered with them and have had nothing but nightmares dealing with them. First off, my entire $3000 purchase made it on there for some reason and they can't take it off. I would cancel my registry but it is already on the invites that were sent out. It looks pretty tacky cause I have a $1100 crib requested on there as well as other very expensive purchase that I am now apparently asking guests to "buy for me". Since then because it is not managed my aunt went and bought a bunch of sheets and stuff I had already purchased in December. And she the had to go back to return it. You cannot manage registries on your own. They have to do it. Next I went down there to fix the situation and I thought I had and low and behold everything is still on there and the new stuff I requested is not even on there. Do not start a registry with this company. Nightmare to deal with them. Still haven't had anything sorted and it has been 4.5. Months. Update: April 22 2015. The manager was supposed to call me back and it has almost been a week and nothing. I am now left with a partial registry because the new items I added got "lost" (idiot girl there entered them wrong and then threw out the piece of paper) and they cannot do anything about it. No apology or anything. They simply told me that I needed to go back down there and re add all the items. I still have not got an ETA for the dresser that I ordered back in December. I find it funny how there are two different versions of the pottery barn for kids and adults. Why not have them in one store? I've come here to get stuff for baby showers and gifts in the past. All the times that I have been here the customer service has been fantastic. Prices are reasonable as well. read more

I've bought a few things here over the years, including furniture. The quality of the stuff is decent, if somewhat overhyped. But the service is invariably abysmal - the sales people don't ever ask if you need help. If you ask for it, they might reluctantly check if an item is in stock for you, and then you'll wait 15 minutes to find out it is not, even though their computer says it is. Seasonal items are gone a good month before whatever holiday is in question, unless it's thanksgiving in which case they'll keep selling them at full price for a month after the holiday is over. They don't have a lot of competition so they seem to be able to get away with this. West Coast Kids has a Vancouver location now so perhaps this will change, but so far it has not. read more

I absolutely love pottery barn kids, however, the customer service is horrible. The man I dealt with, I believe he's an assistant store manager, was the WORST. He has attitude and very little product knowledge. I spent thousands at this store and I would hope for better trained management - not the case. I don't even know where to begin with the abysmal and almost laughable customer service from Pottery Barn kids and I write this now to warn parents of newborn infants about their level of quality control. Firstly, Pottery Barn kids tries to brand itself as a somewhat upscale choice for infant products and at the premium they charge one may expect them to stand behind their merchandise. As a mother of twins who recently spent well over $1000 on cribs at their store and is always buying double of everything you one may think I would be considered a valued customer. In the last two months I also spent over 10 grand at their Pottery Barn store on furniture and my husband is in the design business dealing with potential referrals to their store every day. None of this was enough to show to show any level of customer service for the events that unfolded. When ordering my nursery carpet I was somewhat hesitant as I was told the rug would take 2 months to arrive but it matched the cribs I had already purchased from them and decided to wait. When the rug arrived my husband commented that it 'stunk' but after being pregnant my sense of smell was shot and after an epic wait I was excited to open it. As he cut the plastic he continued to comment on its smell but continued to unravel it as my 1 month old infants slept in their crib. We were pretty shocked to discover that the carpet was wet and that black mold had begun to grow. This carpet had been stored in its plastic in my infants room for 4 days before the weekend and a chance to set it up. I am assuming that every parent may freak at the concept of mold in a newborn's nursery and that Pottery Barn would be somewhat mortified that they delivered a moldy carpet sold for a nursery. No such luck. When I phoned their Vancouver store the manager offered no apology and only an option of a refund or reordering the rug and waiting another two months. It was almost comical and I was in disbelief as he acted like this happened all the time. When he asked me what I wanted and I responded 'maybe an apology' it was verbally offered but with little sincerity and with no offer of any additional investigation. Maybe I'm crazy but I think most parents of newborns may expect Pottery Barn kids to want to look into why they are sending out moldy kids' carpets as um according to Health Canada mold is kind of a dirty word these days. After fighting with them for a week they eventually offered a gift certificate and half price off the carpet cost to reorder. Well the gift certificate never arrived and I only received a receipt in the mail that the carpet had been refunded but not reordered at half the cost. No note, no apology. If I had checked the US reviews before I would have seen how shoddy their service is and they should not be dealing with children's merchandise in any way. read more
