The place was hopping busy and I think they were short staffed but they still did a decent job in checking in on everyone and food came about 30 minutes after we arrived. Unfortunately they forgot to get my to go order ready (Banh Mi) but I still got to try vermicelli lemongrass beef with spring rolls and they special Thanh Thy stir fry. Now we loooooove Vietnamese food. Everything here was fresh and plentiful but it didn't leave any of really wanting to come back. The food was good but it's like it was missing that something extra to make it delicious. Maybe it's what we ordered and it's more of a pho speciality place? Anyhow, healthy fresh and gets the job done for fueling a hockey player.

Just happened to be in Cochrane and I wanted to go to my favorite PHO restaurant, Thanh Thy. The…read morerestaurant is always clean, bright and simple decor. The service is always very good - friendly, quick and always willing to answer any questions. The service is one of the things that impresses me the most. The shrimp salad rolls are smaller than I remember but still good. I ordered the Thanh Thy Special Pho. It was delicious. Canmore could use one of these restaurants. Cochrane has changed so much since I was here last. Now they have 3 Pho restaurants so I must try the other two. Ext time I am in Cochrane. Overall, very good.

Lovely independent spot to grab a homemade breakfast or lunch in Gulf Canada Square. In addition to…read moresome sandwich and salad staples, they have rotating weekly features of different hot dishes and soups. On this visit, I tried the mac and cheese and beef/barley soup. The soup was warm and inviting with real beef. But, the real highlight was the mac and cheese: extra creamy made with real cheddar cheese and topped with buttery homemade croutons. For the portions provided, $10 is more than fair for well-prepared comfort food!

They offer two fresh soups every day which are clearly not canned and made from scratch. They also offer a different special every day of the week that can be supplemented with a salad or a small soup. These specials range from clubhouse sandwiches, to spring roll on vermicelli, to mac n' cheese (scratch made). One of my go-to places for lunches and as a soup connoisseur they are able to beat out most places by providing homemade soups instead of the typical generic Campbell's stuff you find in most delis. One thing I would like is for them to switch up and try their hand at making other soups because I have been here so many times the soups are getting slightly old (but still tastier and better value than Sunterra) TLDR: Soups good, specials can be good, sandwiches fresh, salad available.

I was googling restaurants in Cochrane when Thai Onzon came up and at first I was a bit skeptical…read morebecause historically towns don't always have the most authentic Asian cuisine. However, all the reviews were stellar so decided to give it a try. Its a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. I am neither a vegetarian or vegan and still enjoyed my food very much! I love how the restaurant is actually a cozy house, and that its run by two sisters. I liked how they put a little bit of background about their restaurant and themselves in the menu. The menu was expansive, and included a good variety of different appetizers, noodle/rice dishes, curries, etc. My friend and I both got Thai Iced Tea to drink ($4.50) and it was soooo good! I ordered the pad see ew and she got the red curry. It was loaded with a variety of veggies and both dishes were flavoured well. One thing to note is that their prices are very reasonable ($12 a dish). I want to come back and try some other dishes!

Super slow service and WAY overpriced drinks. I believe these are the worst bar staff in Cochrane…read more Have seen the bar staff be rude to patrons and have seen situations where they arbitrarily ban people they do not like (beware crossing Brittany or Shawn, overlords of a crap bar!) and create bogus reasons for the bans perpetuity, even after being caught in a lie. Observed over serving drunk patrons. The bar owner decided he doesn't care because he owns other bars in Calgary. The owner is not local and let the staff do whatever they want because they do not come out to see what they are doing. Like the environment, its okay for a dive bar... do not like the staff and will NOT go into this establishment unless they get rid of the poor staffing. I would visit ANY location in Cochrane besides this place, there are WAY better options with lower pricing and staff that actually care and pay attention. Have seen their staff in altercations at other bars in Cochrane too, they think they own this town.

The soup was wonderful and thick. I can assure you that this soup didn't come from a can. It was cabbage soup with a few perogies thrown in for good measure. The sandwich was partially my own creation because you choose all the ingredients of it from the bread type to the condiments (I had horse radish, mustard and sauerkraut). There's password protected WiFi to help catch up on the latest stuff on your phone. Inside is tastefully decorated with murals and other things to keep you busy. The washrooms are downstairs so that might be an issue for anyone who is mobility challenged. This is a place where I definitely will return to if I pass through Sundre again. Note that if you prefer a cowboy breakfast of steak and eggs with fried potatoes, this may not be the café for you. For everyone else, enjoy!

I had RSV followed by COVID and for over a month I ate nothing but soup…read more Initially I was concerned about getting nourishment while trying to recover. But, family started dropping off Primal soup for me and I realized with the variety available, it would be fine. The soups taste like your Baba or Nonno or Nan have made them on a stove with love. My Favorites were borscht, the mushroom varieties, Thai chicken, Turkey dinner, lentil and curry ones, but truly I liked every single one I tried. It usually took 2 days to finish one container. When I started to improve I served half the shitake mushroom soup (which contains wine) over wild rice with chicken and that was amazing. I will continue to keep these healthy and scrumptious soups as part of my normal routine. I will also keep them in mind for when friends are sick!

I must say the pad thai was soooo goood! It didn't taste like traditional pad thai to be honest, so I wouldn't order it expecting that but it was very seafood-y (in the best way) and the flavor was still phenomenal. I'd order that and the tofu again, which was also unique and delicious. The pork sisig was good but on the saltier side. The first few bites were good but I may consider sharing that next time or just getting something else. The spot is cute and was able to accommodate my large party very quickly and the staff was awesome. Friendly and very helpful. Stop by here for a bite if you're in the area!

I do appreciate that the restaurant indicated that this is an Asian fusion. They serve Filipino, Indonesian, Singaporean and Thai food here. They also provide parking and a clean washroom.
