We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The first thing that impressed us was it was very clean, that was a good sign. The laminated menu was a bit tough to read, lots of glare. They also have their menu posted in big poster size over the counter, along with a couple of specials...Wed was the wing special. Also, I guess they enjoy sports, a huge TV was tuned into a baseball game. My husband chose the mild Italian sausage sub,it had sliced fresh green peppers on it and their sauce, he was happy. The sub was a combo so it came with a very fresh salad and chips. I was in a wing mood, I ordered 6 wings and fries. I have to honestly say the wings were a disappointment. To begin with they were really small, maybe 3" tall...not very meaty. For a seasoning I chose old bay and asked if they had honey old bay. Well, no, how hard is it to make honey Old Bay? So what arrived was the Old Bay flavor chicken wings and 3 small packets of honey. Yup. The server said the kitchen does not mix the honey and Old Bay. So I was returning from a doctor appointment & hopped on Yelp to find me good food places in the area number 1 on Yelp's list was Potomac Pizza. So you know me I pull into the little shopping center to see exactly what it's worth. It was a laid back Tuesday night couple people were at the bar conversing but other than that it was empty in there. Which was great no long waiting the cashier greeted me then took my order with no issue. The food came out nice & hot in no time. The fries were amazing nice hot & crispy. My pizza was good as well my only issue that lead to me giving them a lower grade was I ordered green peppers & chicken on my 2 slices. The chicken was those large chunky pieces of chicken which should be in a salad & not on a pizza cause it makes it damn near impossible to enjoy cause they keep falling off every time you take a bite. Plus my other issue was my waitress kept forgetting that I asked her for no ice in my drink normally I don't deduct for this but like I said the fact that the place was empty makes that type of slip up completely unexceptional. But overall the food was good & if I'm ever back in the area I would definitely pull up for another meal read more

This is our go-to neighborhood pizza joint. We pretty much order pizza from. Here every Friday night. If you like a NY style pizza, they do an excellent job. The quality has been consistent since they opened. Eating in is nice they have a full bar, and it's family friendly. Delivery is normally very fast, even on busy nights, and all the drivers are friendly. We have tried other pizza places but we always come back to them as the others were OK but not as good a Potomac. read more

I've never heard of this pizza place before. We decided to give it a try for lunch when we were in the area the other day. We went in the middle of the day on a weekday, so it was pretty dead inside. The servers were kind, and since we basically had the place to ourselves we didn't have to wait very long for anything. I'd be interested to see how different service is at a typically busy time. They have a pretty big menu, but we just decided on a large (16") margherita pizza to share. Overall, it was pretty tasty - I liked the taste of the sauce and there was a good amount of basil. I usually feel overly full after two slices of a pizza this size, but the crust isn't that thick, so I was comfortable by the time I finished my second slice. I think the lack of heavy toppings and cheese on margherita pizzas probably helps with that too. I'm knocking a star because I did feel they were a little pricy. The large margherita pizza was $25.99, and other large pizzas with a few toppings were anywhere from $22.99 or higher. Not sure what an average cost is for a 16" pizza is, but $20 just seems like a lot? read more

We we're starving when we got here and the server was quick and helpful. We got our food fairly fast and our bellies were full. Potomac is a mix of a full service bar and pizza joint. Lots of beer to pick from as well. It seemed to have a lot of lunch specials advertised so probably a busy spot during the lunch crowd. We ordered mozzarella sticks, kids linguine with marinara sauce and a medium pizza, but probably should have gotten a large. They have a cooler full of Good Humor ice cream products and we got some for dessert. They have a kids menu and stretchy colored kids straws too. The kids drinks come with lids to prevent spills. Overall I would say the food is decent here. Some dishes are better than others, but generally consistent across the board. My biggest issue is I feel the food is overpriced (when compared to similar style establishments)...hence my 3 rating. The price is mitigated by the location being convenient, so sometimes I just go there and grab something quick for myself and the kids. The establishment is clean and the employees are overall very nice (especially at the bar area). If you do go here, it helps to sign up for the rewards program to get occasional discounts. Today I got two slices of pizza (3 toppings) and a soup (clam chowder). Pizza crust was better than average (psuedo NY style, a bit too much flop), cheese could use some more bite, and the sauce was well balanced. Toppings were piled on (possibly contributing to the flop?) and fresh and tasty. I came with the option of a side salad, cup of soup or fries. I opted for the soup - which was clam chowder today. Having spent the majority of my life in New England, I'm picky about chowder. However, this was a solid offering (suggestions - needed to be a bit thicker, possibly because it wasn't started in a rue?, it could also use a crack of pepper), and with crackers in it I had my clam chowder cravings sated. For a pizza place... the hit or miss with how long lunch takes is a pretty big mark against them. My crew loves another place nearby that tends to take forever, so we gave Potomac a shot hoping to be in and out quicker. Still, staff was super friendly, anticipating the delay brought out free garlic knots, a nice touch. We had cheese steak subs with extra steak delivered to us. This is the only delivery place in the area that does not chop the steak to death. The subs were full of steak, and a half of the sub was like a full meal. The roll was fresh and delicious as well. I told the cashier I called in my order for a small calzone before she could turn around A man came from the kitchen with the box and said "Sandy, I'm sorry we made you a medium Instead of a small." Mixed feelings about this restaurant. On the positive side, they have a great 3-cheese pizza, which is topped with mozzarella, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. You can customize it to suit your tastes. My husband thinks their cheesesteaks and jalapeño poppers are "okay." On the negative side, I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a BLT. The soup looked and tasted exactly like Progresso from a can The chicken was square-cut cubes, and it was heavy on salt and oil. Yes, it was definitely canned, and $5.49 for a bowl! The bacon on the BLT sandwich, which was just under $11.00(!), was vey chewy, almost undercooked, and not crispy like I wanted. The tomatoes were mushy, and the bread was very dry. . We ordered from Potomac because we were at the local brewery right up the street and their food truck didn't show. I had never even heard of this place and I live less than 10 minutes away. The pizza and fries were delivered to us fairly quickly. Pizza was amazing, just a regular pepperoni pizza but it was so good. The fries reminded me of McDonalds fries but since I love Mickey D's I was okay with that. Next time we go to the brewery we will be ordering from Potomac for sure. read more

Let's start with calling out the obvious. This is a local DC suburban chain pizza place. Middle River/White Marsh is not DC so pricing is a little off versus other pizza places in the area. We were expecting something a little more "artisan style" for pizza. The menu touts that it's all homemade dough and sauce. At the end of the day the pizza is conveyor oven style doughy baltimore-area take out style. So just know that's what to expect. Nothing fancy or better than let's say Mustang Pizza down the street. But my biggest rub: we ordered take out here and when I arrived to pick up the pizzas, they weren't sitting in any place to keep the warm!!! Just on a rack behind the register... soaking into the cardboard box. Keep takeout orders under the heat lamp or on top of the oven!!! Come on! This is simple!!! Nobody wants cold pizzas. For those of you that want a good pie, go someplace else. Leave this place for the out of town suckers that get to expense their meals and stay across the street at the spring hill suites. read more

Before Potomac pizza got a new cashier they were an awesome place to go in to order and sit and eat. Their food is very good however you get such a migraine now from dealing with a cashier lady named Rita who doesn't know how to work a register, doesn't know the menu or prices, over charges or forgets your order going there has become a hassle . Just two days ago I could order a kids meal for pick up over the phone now I cannot get the same order unless I have a child with me. I have debated on writing this review for over a week I have been there twice since then and each time I leave in the worst mood. I order my food over the phone so it is ready at pick up. She will let it sit there for 5-10 minutes before finally asking for your order that has been sitting on the rack . I'm afraid due to the incompetence of one employee alone I will no longer be eating here. read more

The bartender/waiter, Susan, was extremely rude and made us feel so uncomfortable we took our leftovers to go :( we are four doctors who recently moved into the community looking for a new spot-- but apparently this will not be our place.
