This dentist almost killed me. That sounds dramatic, I know, but here's what happened: I had two…read morecavities scheduled. During my procedure, with laughing gas, I was told that I was going to have a root canal. I was pulled off the gas and told to sign some papers. I did this, and then went back under the gas, feeling nauseated the entire time. It was then the worst root canal of my life; long, painful and nauseated. When I came out the dr and the nurse looked visibly shaken like they hadn't expected it. I was sent home WITHOUT a prescription for antibiotics. Over the next three days, my swelling went from bad to worse as my neck began to swell up in the front. The pain was unbelievable. On Monday I called the office as soon as they opened and todl them that my neck was swelling. I was told to take ibuprofen and use a hot compress. On Tuesday, it got even worse and I began to struggle with the feeling of something in my throat. I went into the office and the dentist looked at me and said "Well, I think it's an infection, so we will give you another round of antibiotics. I said "You never gave me a first round" and they looked panicked. They sent me to an oral surgeon in New Milford who did x-rays. They could see the infection and told me if it got any worse to go immediately to the ER. The next morning, I woke up and could barely breathe. My husband raced me to the ER where they pumped me full of steroids and antibiotics and did a CAT scan on my neck. I was there for nine hours, and I have never been so scared in my life. There are no words to capture how scary it is feeling your windpipe slowly close. When I reached out to the dental team, I heard NOTHING. They did not check on me, they did not offer any help or empathy. This mistake, and their lack of follow up not only almost cost me my life, but it cost around 8,000 in medical bills. When I went to them with a reasonable request to pay back thte money that their mistake had cost me (and nothing more), they couldn't be bothered. I had to pursue it for months until an outside company reached out to me to say they believed they did nothign wrong. I have never gotten an apology or even a voicemail from the dentist. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. When i went for a follow-up to another dentist (since I refused to go back), she told me that my root canal was done improperly and that we would need to do it again because it was done sloppily. I wept in the chair at the idea of having anything done in that area. This was my experience with the Dental Team; one that I unfortunately for my health and my bank account, will never forgot.

Dr. Goodale's office was it from the moment I first spoke to the receptionist Jessica. She was friendly, patient and easy to understand, which is really saying something these days. When I got the the office and sat down with D for my x-rays, she was very comforting and communicative, laying out everything I needed to do and checking in with me throughout to make sure I was good. Then Dr. Goodale came in with great energy and an obvious desire to 1. explain everything extremely clearly and patiently and 2. make sure I was at ease and comfortable. She did my cleaning personally and took my request seriously for caution around certain sensitive areas. She even asked if I was cool with the music they had playing. And then to top if off she gave me the best cleaning I've ever had - my teeth are prone to staining so they were looking pretty rough after a year gap between my last dentist visit. I had even been told by previous hygienists they couldn't do much about the stains. Dr. Goodale got them so white my wife was actually shocked because she had forgotten I had normal teeth. Really can't recommend this place enough I just with that all healthcare providers treated their customers with such grace and empathy, not to mentioned good old fashioned skill at their profession. I came in for an emergency check up due to some pain, and the receptionist, hygienist, and doctor were all amazing. They were patient and attentive, and explained everything to me in detail. I immediately got on the 2 month long list to book my routine cleaning with them. In my defense, covid has been hard. I'd avoided going outside at all, much less any medical office, for the entirety of 2020. I was long overdue for a cleaning. Denise Denise Denise!!! The hygienist was nothing short of magical. She was friendly, calm, and amazing at communicating. She talked me through every single step she took and kept me comfortable throughout the process. I have to say, she was really 80% of why I'll be coming back. Dr Mansperger is great too - he made me feel very comfortable and was willing to answer all my dumb questions. He didn't make me feel rushed or silly, and gave very helpful tips on how to improve my dental care at home. Dr. Narang, my…read moreregular dentist, was instrumental in getting this whole implant idea started and worked in partnership with Dr. Simpson in seeing it through. For a little over a year now, I've been going to Dr Simpson to have a synthetic tooth installed in my lower, right jaw. I had heard about such procedures before, but it always seemed rather extreme...until I started having chronic problems with one tooth, which culminated in a serious root infection. My dentist (Dr. Narang) suggested I have that tooth out and replace it with an implant. So I thought, OK, now is a good time to try an implant. My dentist recommended Dr. Simpson (an oral surgeon). Dr. Simpson checked the situation out and determined that I would be a good candidate for an implant. Dr. Simpson clearly explained the steps involved in the process. The process to have an implant is rather lengthy. The first step was to extract the old (original) tooth. That went without issue...and without pain. A good start! In fact, I experienced no pain during the entire process. [Note: the process will be slightly different for each person, depending on their circumstances.] After the tooth was removed, we had to wait some time (months) for the jaw to heal and be ready for the next step. Then the hole in my jaw was filled with bone fragments (don't ask where from), which would meld in with my jawbone in preparation for the next step. More waiting... Then the base for the implant was placed into my jaw. [Screwed in, actually, using what looked like a small ratchet wrench.] More waiting... Then, when everything looked good, I was sent back to my dentist to have the crown put on my new tooth stem and fastened into the base. More waiting... Inspected by both my dentist and Dr. Simpson and given the thumbs-up. My new tooth is now in place and feels right at home. No further problems!

The staff constantly came out to advise what was going on with my son and what procedures were being completed. The cleaning, fluoride, and X-rays took 40 minutes and a great job performed.
