This dentist almost killed me. That sounds dramatic, I know, but here's what happened: I had two cavities scheduled. During my procedure, with laughing gas, I was told that I was going to have a root canal. I was pulled off the gas and told to sign some papers. I did this, and then went back under the gas, feeling nauseated the entire time. It was then the worst root canal of my life; long, painful and nauseated. When I came out the dr and the nurse looked visibly shaken like they hadn't expected it. I was sent home WITHOUT a prescription for antibiotics. Over the next three days, my swelling went from bad to worse as my neck began to swell up in the front. The pain was unbelievable. On Monday I called the office as soon as they opened and todl them that my neck was swelling. I was told to take ibuprofen and use a hot compress. On Tuesday, it got even worse and I began to struggle with the feeling of something in my throat. I went into the office and the dentist looked at me and said "Well, I think it's an infection, so we will give you another round of antibiotics. I said "You never gave me a first round" and they looked panicked. They sent me to an oral surgeon in New Milford who did x-rays. They could see the infection and told me if it got any worse to go immediately to the ER. The next morning, I woke up and could barely breathe. My husband raced me to the ER where they pumped me full of steroids and antibiotics and did a CAT scan on my neck. I was there for nine hours, and I have never been so scared in my life. There are no words to capture how scary it is feeling your windpipe slowly close. When I reached out to the dental team, I heard NOTHING. They did not check on me, they did not offer any help or empathy. This mistake, and their lack of follow up not only almost cost me my life, but it cost around 8,000 in medical bills. When I went to them with a reasonable request to pay back thte money that their mistake had cost me (and nothing more), they couldn't be bothered. I had to pursue it for months until an outside company reached out to me to say they believed they did nothign wrong. I have never gotten an apology or even a voicemail from the dentist. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. When i went for a follow-up to another dentist (since I refused to go back), she told me that my root canal was done improperly and that we would need to do it again because it was done sloppily. I wept in the chair at the idea of having anything done in that area. This was my experience with the Dental Team; one that I unfortunately for my health and my bank account, will never forgot. read more

Dr. Barry has fit me with two crowns over the last couple of years. They fit as though they were meant to be there every bit as the tooth it covers. Absolutely maintains the same bite, the same fit. I am extremely happy with it all. Perhaps best of all, it was accomplished in one visit. read more

Friendly and helpful staff, and they have evening and Saturday hours which is helpful for those who work M-F. Very satisfied in that they don't encourage unnecessary treatment. For example, Dr. Barry noticed a small hairline fracture in one of my teeth. I've been to other dentists in the past who would have ordered me to have a crown asap. He took a picture and documented the damage and said that a crown is not needed, just worth keeping an eye on. That honesty goes a long way! read more

After another dentist botched some work, I was lucky to be reunited with the best dentist I ever had, Barry Moretzky. No longer working in Manhattan allowed me to make this change, and boy am I glad I did. Not only is he a great dentist, with a great team, he is personable and cares for his patients. I had 2 bad accidents to the front of my mouth. Therefore, the dentist has been my home away from home, so to speak. I have been to my share of different practices and The Dental Team staff and environment is clearly the best. Dr. Barry is a perfectionist and will not complete a job until it is fantastic. He accepts nothing but the best. All of the assistants are knowledgeable and caring. The office staff has been there for 20 years. If that doesn't say something in itself, I don't know what does. Michele at the front desk makes miracles happen with the scheduling calendar. Their reminder system is top notch. There's no way your forgetting your dental appointment there. They are an absolute joke. I went and got 3 cavities filled. Not only did they try to over charge me from the original quote by $460!!! 2 of the 3 cavities they filled they left decay under the filling! My new Dentist said he hasn't seen anything like this in the 25 years of being in the industry. they did this so i would need a root canal and they would make more money. they simply care about money and not their patients. Went for cleaning today the hygienist name was Crystal. She was terrific, has such a soft touch and so knowledgeable and my teeth look clean. Love the whole dental team from Dr. Barry to the whole staff. I highly highly recommend them. read more

I mean this from the bottom of my heart, but The Dental Team is BY FAR the best dentist I have ever had the privilege of being a patient. I live in Danbury and work in NYC and have been using a generic dentist in the city for years. I finally decided to pick a local dentist last summer and have actually ENJOYED my frequent visits (weird, I know). First, The Dental Team has Saturday hours most weekends which is a God send for me because of my long commute. The front desk associates are so sweet and actually recommended to me a dental discount plan since I do not have dental insurance. It paid for itself in one visit. They're always beyond polite and remember you each visit. My all-time favorite hygienist is Lucy who actually makes a check-up fun. We talk about music, pop culture, and she stops to give me little tricks for better oral care. I've had two fillings completed (including this AM) and it was painless, efficient, not a big deal whatsoever. I honestly cannot say enough good things about The Dental Team. I'm in my mid 30s and have never had a dentist where going is as casual and relaxing as getting a hair cut. In other words, not one worry whatsoever. read more

You don't need to be scared of this dental office! Everyone greets you with open arms. My husband has had a bunch of cavities and root canals the past few years and all of the doctors and hygienists have taken such good care of us. It's amazing to sit in the dental chair and you can see the X-ray images on the large flat screen TV right in front of me. You can really see the decay and then you can see how they fixed it! Have been using the Dental Team for years and most recently had a dental issue hours before leaving for vacation. A call was put into the office, and found that they were closed for the day, as the dentists were also on vacation. The receptionist (Michelle) said she would try to contact a dentist, or at least find somewhere for us to have our issue resolved. She was able to contact Dr. Barry Moretzky, who himself was about to leave to attend a family function, and he was willing to head in immediately to help us out, and get us on our way. The procedure took 2 hours, and we were on the road. Had it not been for Michelle, and Doctor Moretzky, our vacation would not have happened.
