I had a TERRIBLE experience at Diamond Dental today, with Dr. V specifically!! I went in because a crown of mine (that was done in their office) fell off, for the second time. It was originally done in 2020, and fell off for the first time in 2021. She told me that she was going to have to charge me to re-cement it. (I don't have insurance) I asked how much. After about 10 min of runaround with her & the billing specialist, I was told the charge would be $150! I told her that I would pay it because I have no choice, but that i thought it was ridiculous that I would have to pay that much money to glue a crown back on. (I had a previous crown on a different tooth that lasted me 15+ years without ever coming off!) At that point, she told me that she was not going to put it back on for me because "I don't trust her work"! So, after spending almost 2 hours there, I had to leave without getting the crown put on, at 3pm. She was aware that I was going to NC tomorrow and there's no way I would be able to get in with any other dentist this late in the day. And she actually looked really pleased with herself for refusing to do the work. It was honestly the most unprofessional experience I have ever had at any dental office. I hadn't been into the office for a long time, for personal reasons. She took several opportunities to point that out to me as well. As if that was the reason my crown (which to my understanding is permanent & should not be coming off multiple times) came off. I have a lot of dental issues. I have spent thousands of dollars at this office & have family members that have spent tens of thousands. I actually talked to Dr. V today about finally putting together a plan to get to the bottom of all my issues. And now I have to find another office. I really loved Dr. Wong, but he is there anymore. The rest of the staff in the office are AMAZING & SO KIND!! The office is beautiful, with all the newest technology. There are so many nice things I can say about the office in general. But after today, I will not be returning. The way that Dr. V handled the entire situation was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL & UNETHICAL. I now have to drive to NC without my fragile tooth unprotected and deal with it when I come back. All because the crown that they did has fallen out twice in less than 5 years, and I told her that I felt taken advantage of for being charged $150 for that!! read more

My husband and I were reluctant to see another dentist but ours closed down. We are pretty demanding patients. Dr V and Dr Wong exceeded any expectations we can have. Megan, Cynthia and Genesis are pleasant and meticulous. Mukki makes you feel at home. Super helpful. They are all so professional and transparent about billing. No hidden surprises. I have had a number of procedures requiring the replacement of old fillings dating back over 40 years.The last two appointments were spent with Dr. Wong. One replacement required multiple layering due to the fact that the tooth was 75% destroyed. The session lasted over two hours and Dr. Wong is a master of dental technique and procedures. Due to the fact that I have sensitive gums, I always expect to have post dental treatment discomfort. Not so with Diamond Dental, as the discomfort was minimal lasting only for a few hours with no need for any pain medication. The staff and technicians are all very professional and caring. The facility is spotless and and there is always an atmosphere of happiness and staff appear to enjoy working there. Highly recommended. read more

I went to this dentist last year so my memory is a bit fuzzy - dentists were super nice and the staff were great, actually. My big gripe is that they wouldn't file my insurance paperwork? like what crazy dental place makes you fill your own forms in this day and age? I had Cigna Dental too, so it was a large and common provider. Anyways, I recently moved to NYC and went to a new kind of dentist (Tend) that actually does all your paperwork and gives you an estimate PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT which honestly, is how it should be for all medical services, not just dentists. I really liked Dr. Wang, Dr. Vedullapalli unfortunately had her mask under her nose, but she was wearing a face shield so her breathing ricocheted right off her face shield and into my open mouth. Did not love that for me. I hate paperwork and I don't believe the patient should have to file their own forms. The end. read more

I was very nervous to go to the dentist after my tooth started hurting. After getting a root canal done with Dr. V, I couldn't belief how smooth the experience was. I literally felt no pain, no soreness and no discomfort after the procedure, which says a lot. She was extremely gentle and kept checking to see if I'm ok throughout the process. I have absolutely nothing even remotely negative to say about the entire experience. I'm looking forward to bringing my children to this dentist after the great experience I had. Excellent Doctor with great customer service, great staff, very clean practice with modern tools, knowledgeable, fast yet great work and awesome availability. Can't say enough great things about Dr. V and her team. I have been a patient at Diamond Dental for years and have gladly referred my family and friends. Dr. V performed my entire Invisalign treatment, and I am thrilled with the results. She was able to accomplish my goals in the least amount of time possible, and has a great cosmetic eye for what tweaks would look great. Dr. V is very gentle, and even more importantly, she is very conservative. She never recommends procedures you don't need. For example, I went for a visit the other day for a pain in my tooth that I thought for sure would require a crown. She thoroughly examined me and determined that a crown was not needed, and instead recommend a prescription strength toothpaste for now to see if the enamel could be restored before taking the extreme measure of doing a crown. The office is always clean, I never have to wait, and billing is always clear and easy. Highly recommend! read more

Outstanding dental service all in one visit. Staff is excellent and Dr. Vedullapalli is really good, highly skilled! No pain. Fixed problems I did'nt even knew I had. Office is new and clean with all new equipment. It was my first time there and very impressed. No problems with the bill either like I did with Columbia dental who is a ripoff. Went in for a cleaning and x-rays with a groupon. It is very clean and they have all new equipment. I didn't do the cleaning on the first appointment because the dentist needed a note from my doctor, good thing she asked because I needed to take antibiotics! Before making the appointment I checked with my insurance company. They said Diamond Dental was in-network. When I made the appointment, I double checked with the woman taking my information that they were in-network and gave them my ID and the name of the plan. She assured me it was accepted. I made the appointment on a Wednesday and was scheduled for a Tuesday visit at 11. At 10:50 TEN MINUTES BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT, their front desk called me and said I was out of network. No apology. No explanation. I asked her how when THEY was told I was in-network and my insurance says DD is in-network. She said "we have no control over that" and just canceled the appointment. I took the day off for this appointment. I drove an hour each way to get to the office. I went through six days of worrying about said appointment. TEN MINUTES. TEN MINUTES before my appointment they tell me this. Insurance is complicated. If they had simply called the next day after I made the appointment and said "sorry, we were mistaken and you aren't in network" I would be fine, but the fact that they had several days to check and told me TEN MINUTES before is astounding. If you are going to this dentist, CONFIRM AND THEN CONFIRM AGAIN every single thing. I wouldn't trust them to process payments correctly either. The front desk is clearly incompetent and disorganized. It sounds silly but it was devastating to finally overcome a huge fear only to be thwarted by someone else's disorganization. Now I have to start the process all over again. read more

Only dental experience I've ever loved in the 24 years of my life. Other dentist had left me with sore gums and pain after a simple 20 minute cleaning-but with Dr.V even after an hour of procedure-I felt nothing! She was gentle and very considerate throughout the whole experience. She never rushed, despite having other patients to tend too. She always stopped and asked how I was doing. After examining my x-rays; she was very through with her concerns, answered all my questions in detailed fashion, and was very considerate of my financial situation and even offered to prioritize my procedures so it would be all covered under my insurance. Best dentist in the area. I live in Danbury and her office is worth the drive! I will def be taking my children to her when I have them. The entire team was just spectacular. From the very thorough and patient receptionist to the x-ray and cleaning to the dentist herself, everyone was extremely professional and provided a stress-free experience. The office was spacious and clean (placed the inner germaphobe in me at rest). Would highly recommend everyone! read more

Dr. Ratna Vedullapalli and her staff are top shelf. Short version (TL;DR): She's such a good person, dentist and artist; no one else will have permission to touch my teeth. I am not being overly dramatic. She and crew are a rare gem and their work is terrific. Such confidence is earned. Read on. My story is long but it's the truth. I am easily the biggest baby when it comes to dentistry and healthcare in general. I will admit that wholeheartedly. I hadn't had professional work, not even a teeth cleaning for close to 25 years sans one single visit for an emergency filling 10 years ago. Fear from past experiences, arrogant doctors, severe phobia of needles, the drill, the sound, being shamed, the cost, a good dose of nihilism and self destruction has kept me far away.. For a long time I just didn't care. Finally, after a long series (many years) of periodic sleepless nights due to minor pains here and there and don't get me started on how terrible my teeth looked... I decided I must do something, anything. It had to be someone I could trust who could help me overcome my fear so I researched over 50 practices within Fairfield County, CT and beyond. I was willing to travel pretty far. I settled on Dr. Vedullapalli because after digging hard into her history I was reminded of the only other dentist that gave me any confidence. Her background was similar to one of the best regarded practices in San Francisco that I sadly only had the chance to visit for a consultation and one procedure before I had to leave the city. I wish I could remember her name but it was so long ago. Dr. Vedullapalli is even better. She's an artist and a shy personality you have to provide mutual respect to really unearth and have some fun with. I relate directly with that because I too am very reserved. She's especially good for me, just to subdue the fear with comedy and a genuine connection. She is a rare gem. Her work is terrific and inspires my confidence not just in her, but in myself, especially in the chair regardless of how much I squirm. I haven't been able to smile this confidently in years, yet there remains so much more work to do to clean me up fully. The difference from only several short visits is astounding. This could be said of many dentists but the experience and process is just so important. I'm so glad my research didn't disappoint. It's her and her staff's prowess, patience and care which keeps me up-beat to confront something I fear so much. I joke constantly with them because that's the best way I can get through it. I actually want to go back and let them perform their art and make my mouth healthy. I'm ready now. She is enthusiastic that I pulled up my boot straps but recognized without my even asking that I need to take it at my own pace physically, emotionally and financially one step at a time. You can see it in her eyes that she has a singular goal in the end and it's not just satisfied patients or customers. It's a journey leaving a trail of healthy people, friends even, in her wake. Unbelievable. When I emphasize artistic acumen, I am not kidding. It's the full package. I am an artist and I know passion and terrific work when I see it. So much of that, though, is in the moment... when I am terrified and she's cool as a cucumber. I don't think schools teach this kind of compassion. It's a personality trait. I will never not be fearful to a large extent but I am proud to say that I am more relaxed in her chair than I ever thought possible now after four visits for some serious work. read more
