The dentists here want one thing. Not patient satisfaction, not pretty smiles. MONEY. They had my elderly sister come back here about 10 times for fittings for dentures. The dentures never fit. After $6000+ we decided to seek other dentists and other action. The bill arrives at your house practically before you drive home. To start: original appt. scheduler talked me away from the dentist to whom I was referred, by the oral surgeon, to up the anti to an incompetent, cosmetic dental provider, probably had a quota to meet in order to have mal-practice ins. Unknowing and non-insured elderly patient was robbed. After close to 20 fittings it was revealed that she wanted to remove some perfectly good partials and proceeded to so do for $600.00 more for paper clip sized, sharp metal prongs which jabbed my gums and she and one of the (owners) would not fix or refund me anything. She admitted that she did not follow the surgeon's instructions to prepare an immediate denture, decided on her own to make it a permanent one. She indicated, very much along in the awful fitting process, that she wanted to sell me implants. I am in my last decade and out of $6,600.00. Can only eat chopped, soft foods. No pizza, no pretzels, salads, hard roll sub/sandwiches, and everyone's favorite, crispy bacon. Get it? My inability to chew any food for a well balanced diet, leaves me with constant pain in my mouths soft tissue, as well as irritable digestion. Getting worse as time marches on. If all you want from dental care is teeth whitening and movie-star, close-ups they may be o.k. This place ruined the beginning of the time I have left. It cannot be reversed. read more

Dr Fantarella must have read my bad review, because whatever fault I may have cited there has been corrected in spades. Dr Fantarella himself took on my very complicated problem--a double implant in the front of my mouth. He not only saved me $2000, but he did so as painlessly as I could have wished (and I'm a big-time coward). I would like to remove my previous negative review, but Yelp doesn't give me the option. Whatever issues I might have raised have been addressed, and I give this practice a whole-hearted endorsement. read more

Let me start this review off by explaining I am DEATHLY AFRAID of the dentist, because of this I have passed out of anxiety, have to had schedule cleanings in two different appointments. 5 stars! My initial appointment at Fantarella was made because of a loose/chipped tooth after a fall. Even in the beginnings of COVID-19, I was fit in right away as a new patient! The staff was unbelievably welcoming and accommodating. I was seen by Dr. Mike who alleviated my worries and thoroughly explained each step of the exam process. I was fitted for a night guard, and took it home that same day! Followup visits were just as great. You are immediately greeted by the great patient care coordinators upon entering the beautiful office, and escorted to your exam room by the friendly & helpful dental assistants. During exams and procedures, the dental assistants and doctors put any anxieties at ease and are happy to answer questions. The doctors and hygienists go about each and every procedure with the utmost of care. The office and exam rooms are pristine, and the technology used is state of the art. I am appreciative of Fantarella Dental Group for everything they've done for me as a patient and would readily recommend them to anyone who needs a dentist! read more

Have you ever heard anyone say they LOVE their dentist office? Well, if you haven't, allow me to be the first... I LOVE MY DENTIST OFFICE! My pearly whites have been entrusted to Dr. Dave for years now and they been better for it. Throughout the years, Dr. Dave and I have gone from bi-annual cleanings and x-rays to fill-ins to Invisalign to whitening trays. I'll admit, I am finicky about the well-being of my gums and teeth, so when I say I trust Dr. Dave implicitly its a reflection of the professionalism and care he has provided me. Every one on his team is a rock star! From the front desk, to the assistants, to hygienists - not only are they knowledgeable but no matter what they receive me warmly and go the extra mile to make sure I'm satisfied with their service. In recent years, the practice has moved to a state of the art office with all of the bells and whistles. As long as I'm in CT, I'll keep going to Dr. Dave and associates because they are simply the best. read more

I have written reviews before for this fantastic dental office. Dr. Mike has restored my faith in going to the dentist. I neglected my teeth for years because of fear of the dentist. No more!!! He is the best of the best. He puts you at ease, answers all your questions. Is very gentle when he works on you and makes you feel extremely comfortable. I live almost an hour away, and would never consider going anywhere else! I would give Dr. Mike more than 5 stars if I could. Today I had my teeth cleaned and had a great experience with the hygenist named "Grace"! Best teeth cleaning I've ever had, talk about a personable person. You just feel like you are family here! no one likes going to the dentist, especially when you a history of paranoia, anxiety, deep depression.. My review is based on MY experience ONLY! I'm sure the dentist is a great guy with patients that are easy to deal with & just sit there, not moving. I was not an easy patient & explained all about this before hand, no problem I was assured. From the moment they put the mask on my face I knew this was bad & expressed that but was told just hang in there, almost done.. needless to say comfortability never set in, I became super pale (think Casper) & didnt look well at all. After the DAs mentioned this (I assume bcuz they left the room, came back with the doc) we finally stopped. I began to apologize like a lil child, I felt terrible that I let everyone down & instead of a pick up chat, I got berated that I never called back to the office & bcuz I couldn't remember who I talked to, I never called. I'm still full of novicane & laughing gas, sorry I didn't remember the names!! The entire staff was awesome!! the dentist, while he may be a good dentist, as for me he need to work on his bedside manner. I'd hate to think he treats everyone like that.. was it too much to expect a doctor to make sure I was ok? I asked for a paper towel to wipe my face & he refused - the nurse got it for me without asking her!! I'm sorry but this the worst experience of my life & will never go back!! I gave 3 stars bcuz the rest of the staff was incredible & the lobby was clean, inviting & comfy. read more

I started going to Dr. David Fantarella's practice several years ago. Dr. Fantarella keeps things professional and I am confident in his explanations about my oral health when I go in for routine cleanings. Dr. Amalie (Amy) Lomartire joined his practice this year and I had my first experience with her yesterday for a cavity filling. Dr. Lomartire was confident in her work and now that the numbing medicine has worn off I can say that I am very pleased with the result. Best dentist I've ever had. He is honest, caring, pain free, and always concerned for his patients. He will always do what is best for you and he walks you through it so you know what is going on. His technology is amazing and makes visits even quicker and even less painful. Also, if you have an emergency he will answer his cell. The receptionist is a riot as well! Great team overall! So thrilled that I switched to this office. Just had a laser cavity done today- absolutely pain free, and quick. It took about 10 mins and I was on my way with no side effects. Very good people work here! I had to get a tooth pulled and I was super scared but from the second I walked in they made me feel comfortable. I had never gotten a tooth pulled before and before they pulled it they explained the whole procedure and let me ask as many questions as I wanted and were just so kind and they gave me as much numbing stuff as I felt I needed and they pulled the tooth super quick. read more

Dr. Fantarella and his staff are tops. The new office looks fantastic and will only get better as they finish renovations. I've personally had less than optimal experiences with previous dentists and had built up a mild phobia for dental work, but Dr. Fantarella was very supportive and assuring the entire way through and made sure I knew exactly what was going on, doing his best to make me as comfortable as possible.
