First of all, the office was spotless. It was so clean and up to date with all COVID precautions. Tamika runs the front desk and she is friendly and professional. For my cleaning, Betsy was a pleasure. She gave such a thorough cleaning and fast with all of her X-rays. She is such a lovely person. Last but not least is Dr. Allie Kudish who gave the best exam. She listens, gets to the root of the problem, and is a perfectionist in her work. Thank you to the entire staff at Trumbull Dental Arts. I'm so happy to have found such a wonderful new office!

My partner had a filling/cap come out on a Friday night -- the second time this had happened. He called first thing Monday morning and explained that the tooth was extremely sensitive and that he was having difficulty eating. The receptionist told him they could squeeze him in on Tuesday, so he waited for that appointment rather than immediately seeking care elsewhere. Then, only two hours before his scheduled appointment on Tuesday, the office called to tell him that the doctor was completely booked and could no longer see him. Their solution was to offer him an appointment in the middle of the following week. That level of patient care is completely unacceptable to me. This was not a routine cleaning or something that could comfortably wait another week. His tooth was exposed, extremely sensitive, and painful enough that eating was difficult. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of concern, understanding, or effort to accommodate him after they were the ones who had already scheduled the appointment. He ultimately decided to switch dentists. His new dentist got him in and had the problem fixed within about 20 minutes. It is incredibly disappointing that a longtime dental office could not find a way to address a patient with an urgent issue -- particularly when the restoration had already failed twice. The last-minute cancellation, lack of urgency, and overall dismissive treatment of a patient in discomfort were awful. We expected much better care and basic consideration from a dental practice. After this experience, he will not be returning, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a responsive, accommodating dental office.

She is not only skilled, she is exacting and meticulous. I'm no "dental newbie" as I have many bridges and crowns. She successfully placed two crowns on very challenging teeth after careful evaluation and we plan on some further work. I know the difference between average and good and she is exceptional. It is challenging to find a truly knowledgeable, skillful dentist with advanced crown and bridge training and the expertise to apply it. I could not be more pleased. She is also patient and pleasant to work with and her staff are very friendly and efficient. You could not ask for more!

I remember that when I first met her, she said "I love teeth". She worked out a long range patient-centered plan with me that respected my wishes - another well-known dentist tried to push me into something I was not comfortable doing. Dr. Patel is a perfectionist and always available to bring patients back for slight readjustments (which can happen after local anesthetics wear off). The entire office, including Monica, Sue, and Haley are warm, welcoming, personable and available. Every question I ask, and I ask a LOT, has been answered quickly and with appreciation of my anxiety. They have sent me to oral surgeons with whom they work and these oral surgeons are superb and nice. (Prosthodontists typically work closely with oral surgeons and it is important if there are good relationships between the practices).

Today was my second appointment at Cherry Tree Dental, with Dr. K. and Kathleen, her assistant. I could not believe the great experience----who says that about getting a cavity filled? This was the first time in my life that I did not feel the novocaine injection. NOT ONE BIT OF PAIN!! It was a difficult filling, but the entire time I was in the chair, both Dr. K. and Kathleen kept checking that I was comfortable. Any time I reacted in the slightest way, they both stopped to make sure that I was OK. The best news----I had no pain during the procedure, and no pain for the rest of the day or evening. Dr. Lerch personally responded the same night after hours (while the competing office got back to me the following morning, asked all the same questions I had already answered in their online intake form, and then recommended I schedule an appointment in two weeks). She messaged to let me know they consider this an emergency and would prioritize it (it's very painful and hot/cold sensitive to have an exposed tooth with veneer missing). I was in her chair getting the veneer reattached the following day. Altogether it took less than 30 minutes. Admittedly, I came to Dr. Lerch's office with some quiet distrust of dental offices in general. However, I have since found that I can completely trust Dr. Lerch's office with the full scope of my dental care, and so I also recently decided to move forward with a lingual frenectomy that had been impacting my speech for decades but I kept avoiding. The procedure took minutes and was entirely painless. Lastly I'll add that what makes this place truly exceptional is that Dr. Lerch's care and standards are not limited to her. Every person I have spoken to in the office shares the same qualities, whether Robby, Rahisha, Karen, or anyone else.
