The office staff is accommodating and always works around our tight schedule to see us, which we so appreciate. Melinda is my hygienist and does an excellent job. They agree they owe it. Two weeks ago I gave them my checking account information. AGAIN. Today I was told someone shredded it by accident?!?! Dr. Tseng and Annie were lovely to me when I went there. However, their new manager, Jennifer is not. She informed me that she has only been there only three weeks, was on overload, and wasn't there last year when this occurred. Of course, that doesn't mean the debt is absolved. I didn't understand her thinking about that..it makes no sense. Then, I suggested I come in. She said you can come in all you want but no one can help you. What? Then why take my information if no one can help me? I would hope in this same situation, I would be solicitous, understanding and apologetic. All of which Jennifer was not. Put a call into Annie.. still waiting.

Dr. Solomons took the time to perform a thorough exam, diagnose the underlying issue(s) clearly, and thoroughly explain the options available to address the issue(s). Dr. Solomons and his staff appears to be very professional and well informed. The practice has examination rooms, surgery rooms, and offer orthodontic services. I believe that all practical options to address my problem were clearly and understandably presented, along with the advantages and possible shortcomings of those solutions. Going forward, I have faith that this practice cares about their patients and Dr. Solomons has demonstrated knowledge and experience that probably could have prevented the issues I'm now experiencing. I look forward to (???) having dental work performed here soon.

I am disappointed with the experience my mother had at this dental office…read more My mother went in on October 29 to have her dentures fitted, but they did not fit properly. She returned again on Saturday, and unfortunately, the issue was still not resolved, resulting in two unnecessary trips. I do want to recognize that the other staff members we interacted with were wonderful. The person assisting with scheduling was understanding, accommodating, and demonstrated excellent customer service. Unfortunately, my experience with the office manager was quite the opposite. When I brought my mother's experience to his attention, he immediately became defensive and insisted the office had done everything correctly. He explained that the person responsible for the adjustments was not present during either visit. My question was simple: Why weren't the appointments scheduled when the appropriate person was available? What shocked me most was his approach. He began raising his voice and pointing his finger at me. I asked him not to do either. I was simply advocating for my mother and expected a respectful, professional conversation. I also asked whether the office would consider an accommodation on the remaining balance given the circumstances. His response was that if the balance wasn't paid, they would take the dentures back. Thankfully, after further adjustments, my mother's dentures are now fitting properly. However, that doesn't erase how our concerns were handled. After this experience, I looked at other patient reviews and was surprised to see similar complaints regarding the office manager. Unfortunately, based on my own experience, I can understand why. Mistakes can happen, but accountability, compassion, and professionalism matter. The other staff members deserve recognition for their kindness, but unfortunately, the management experience overshadowed everything. Response to owner on his comment: I'm disappointed by your response, particularly that it focuses on questioning my character rather than addressing the concerns I raised. To be clear, I never yelled at or disrespected anyone. I expressed my concerns as a customer, which I have every right to do. I can appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the other staff members while still having legitimate concerns about management. Unfortunately, your response only reinforces my concerns about how management handles customer feedback. I stand by my review.

Dateline May 25, 2022:…read more I posted a review about Dr. Blake Winokur & his incredible team some months back. I believe it's important to check back after some time has passed to see if my initial thoughts were accurate or in need of some update: well, I'm happy to report an update is necessary. Let's start with this; if I could give Dr. Winokur 11 stars, it wouldn't be enough. Here are the relevant takeaways: 1) I returned to the practice after writing my initial review for a number of issues: including cavities that needed to be filled; a chipped tooth; fillings that needed to be replaced; bonding that needed to be redone (the work of another practitioner just didn't hold up!). In every instance, the work done was the best you could hope for. Pro, compassionate, and incredibly well-done. 2). The above mentioned bonding was a challenge. Dr. Winokur knocked the work out of the park. I can smile again, and I feel great about my teeth. 3). My girlfriend visited the practice (on my recommendation) and her chipped tooth disappeared. Perfect work. Painless. And with rave reviews from her. 4). The support team here is the best I've ever worked with. 5) I now come in every three months for a cleaning. Eloise is remarkable, and the best hygienist I've ever known. Killer. In a great way. 6) Jess and the front office team are buttoned up, incredibly friendly, and helpful in ways you wished every doctor's office could be. 7) Dental insurance leaves something to be desired. This practice works with you to make sure you're getting the best coverage and value, and they try and minimize out-of-pocket(to the best of their ability) no matter what the circumstance. Bottom line. Dr. Blake Winokur is a NYC dentist who now works full-time in Danbury. His practice is state-of-the-art, clean, incredibly well-equipped, and pretty-much perfect in every way. If you try this team, you will be amazed. More than that, you'll wish every health care practitioner was this good. If you're reading this review please note this is not a one-off perspective. Almost a year later and numerous visits later I can report my information is solid and you should take this recommendation and run with it.
