I recently moved to Danbury. My regular dentist is over an hour and a half away in central Connecticut. I was getting over a terrible case of sinusitis and had this unexplainable pain in my canine tooth. Every time I stood up quickly, or shook my head (mostly when I was blow drying my hair); the pain was excruciating. I'm pretty tolerant and downplay most pain since I hate having to go to see specialists, doctors, etc. After about three days, the pain became too much and I was desperate to see someone. I called four separate dental practices in Danbury and NO ONE could get me in quickly for an appointment. I called Dr. Benusis' office and they gave me an emergency appointment THAT AFTERNOON. I was so grateful. Although I had to wait about 20 mins past my scheduled time; I know they really threw me into their busy schedule so I wasn't upset at all. It was also very comforting that their receptionist was so friendly and happy to speak to me in the meantime. The office is pretty outdated, but very clean. When I finally got back to the room, Dr. Amy and her hygienist were SUPER friendly, really listened to everything I said and was fast and efficient in trying to figure out what was going on within 15 mins, Dr. Amy checked my teeth, took x-rays and was able to assess what she thought was going on. Her and the hygienist were very supportive, helpful and put me at ease. I would certainly go back anytime I needed to have something done to my mouth. My experience was excellent! read more
