Zohra H.

The sandwich was SO buss. It was the perfect flavor and amount and exactly what i wanted. It filled me right up! The chocolate shake was so chocolatey and really good and i love that little cookie! The ambiance on this potbellies on green is amazing! They had good music and amazing decorations. The service was so kind too! Def recommend!

Only place with actually hot jalapeños. Every much enjoyed the food. Nothing much to say about a sandwich. U either hit it or miss it and they definitely hit it.

So this place is somewhat similar to Quiznos in a sense that you order a sub and then it gets toasted. The main difference between Quiznos and here is that you actually get to choose what extra toppings you want on it. The toppings include: mayo, honey mustard, hot peppers, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle, oil, and Italian seasoning. I wish it said how big these subs are... I'm thinking they're either 7" or 8." There's originals, bigs (30% more meat), and skinnys (thin cut breads) type of subs. I got an original A Wreck (salami, roast beef, turkey, ham, and swiss cheese) on multigrain bread. It cost $5 and it was pretty good! I also think it's interesting that they have some random guy playing a guitar and singing as their background music.

I'd love to order something, but your website isn't working. Oh well, I'll just give my money to a place that'll take it. .

“The absolute best Italian sandwich I've ever had anywhere, especially when on wheat bread.”

Hello Kajiken, I am…read morea frequent customer of the Kajiken at UIUC, in Champaign. I am commenting about frequent double charges in taxes without the customer knowing. I always order the Tori Shoyu Ramen, along with Kaedama, and even though the menu itself says the ramen is 17 dollars without tax, the bill inflates the untaxed cost up to 20.19 dollars. For some reason, only the ramen is double taxed as the Kaedama is left unchanged, as it should be, at 4 dollars. At this point, the bill then adds another charge of tax on top, which is simply unheard of. When I reached out to the server to talk about it, he says that it has always been this way (apparently he even spoke to the manager and she said it's fine) and doesn't know how to solve it. No refunds either. There is also no way to contact the manager, as she is out in Chicago and rarely comes back. This is absolutely ridiculous as how am I supposed to file a complaint? The servers have no access in changing a major problem and the manager herself doesn't want to anyone to reach out to her for problems. I am truly disappointed as I was a big fan of the food in Kajiken. I usually would not make such a big deal of this, but as I have come here a lot in the past, I can't help but think of all the times I have been scammed on the prices I have been paying, not to mention the fact that the servers never provide the receipt unless u ask for it. Please fix this problem. I am willing to report this to tax authorities if I have to, as this is clearly a deception of prices.

I came in on a week night before thanksgiving so it was very quiet in the restaurant. I ordered…read morespicy tonkatsu ramen and it was alright. The meat cut was a little on the tough side but otherwise good. The egg did not have much of a marinated flavor. The staff was quick to serve me and the food came out very fast. The restaurant is very well designed and modern with what appeared to be a cafe on the floor above it. I see other reviews of this place and wish I had tried more of the menu which seems to have turned out better than the ramen did. I will be back to try more!

I usually really enjoy visiting Martinelli's: they have fun snack aisles for one to browse through,…read morebread samples, yummy dessert options and a freezer full of goodies. Its got a lot of natural light, plenty of seating and has a really nice ambiance for a quick lunch or coffee date. We stopped by for their delicious foccacia pizza but were informed that they don't serve it after 1:30 pm. We settled on the tuna melt but were disappointed by that; cold tuna salad, greasy soft bread (ie not toasted enough), and a slice of unmelted cheese. It really didn't work. We also ordered a few baked goodies but were disappointed to see a bug flying on the cookies. I'm giving them 3 stars for the overall vibe of the restaurant and past experiences. I'm hoping that today they were just having an off day.

This place went downhill to the point of possible No…read morereturn.... Show up to a line out the door with literally one person on the register and one person on expo. Had an online order and went to where it says online order to stand and wait while they had two employees standing over in the "bread area" laughing with each other while the place is packed and obviously the other coworkers are busting their pick to get orders out. Waited a while to get my order too. What's the point of offering online ordering if you can't get it out, especially when it's a timed pickup for a later time??? The sandwich wasn't the same either. Barely any meat on it for $17 with tax and just not worth it with all the other options available. Was a huge fan of this place, but to no surprise lack of management derailed this place to me not wanting to return. Suggestion, cross training is a very important part of any successful restaurant. So instead of the "deadweight" at the bread station, make those two actually help the team instead of standing there laughing while your ship is going down in flames...... Just a thought.
