Potato Corner - Specialty Food Near Me - Northridge, California

Very impolite, unprofessional greeter (name said SamanthaP on the receipt) for this location. She wasn't listening and ignored my boyfriend NUMEROUS TIMES who was asking a simple question. He ended up not buying anything because he was so turned off by her attitude. Our food came out fast (if you've ever ordered you know how long the wait can be), but was entirely bland which is weird because PC is literally known for their FLAVORED food! Haha. The two younger girls who looked like were in charge of frying put a finger up in a "I'm not listening, I'm busy, hold on" manner to the cashier when she was relaying orders because they were watching a YouTube video...????? Like, what the heck? It made you feel gross ordering from them because you're giving them money and they're literally being paid to work but they're just not giving ANY Fs. Whoever owns this kiosk needs to find better workers and fire this bunch because they are most definitely helping you LOSE money. read more

I come here often but I like my fries a certain way and for $8-10 I should be able to order a little of this seasoning and a little of that seasoning and or have it mixed. It appears my requests are annoying the fry mixer, cashier and manager, Maria. Today I came in and I asked for of two seasonings but wanted one to more than the other and the fry mixer defensively responded "I mixed them evenly" and then poured a scoop of mix over my fries and I was like, that's not appropriate. His manager told him to take my fries back and remix them. He took my fries back and poured in the bucket after I had already picked a fry or two and he added even more seasoning. Unsanitary. Thankfully I'm clean but germs are still germs. Anywho, I returned the overly seasoned fries and manager turned her nose up at me saying, "what is it now, you were complaining about the fries earlier". Im like, "excuse me, am I wrong to come back after ordering the way I like my fries and I told her the customer service was rude and it is coming from management. she replied "oh, I know you, you come All the time" . Okay I'm done paying my money here. The cashier, the fry mixer, and customer service in general is way too short tempered and rude over some fries. $8-10 an order for fries but hey, I have no right to get them the way I like it. Okay, I'm done Take care read more

Ordered some tots and they took 20 min. And they were buns. Maybe next time I'll reconsider and order the fries.

I could bust a nut every time I add a fry to my mouth. My go to order: giga sour cream and onion fry mixed with bbq. Sometimes I get it separate and sometimes I get it mixed together. Both are equally good. I used to get it 5 times a week when I used to work at the mall. I miss it a lot now. I don't get it as often read more

Do you have 40mins to burn standing around a food kiosk in a mall? Do you wanna watch 6 unorganized teens stand around behind a counter while feeling patrons frustrations grow? Then Potato Corner is where you want to be. My God, all I wanted was chicken tenders and fries and I got stuck at this mall for 40mins waiting around. I have worked in the food industry as a teen, server, hostess, to go, I've done it all....and i get it....but the unorganized mess that is Potato Corner is ridiculous! They serve 2 things on the menu, chicken and potatoes and they haven't mastered a system to crank out their food in an organized and smooth manner? Come on? 40mins for fried food is insane, especially when there are so many hands on deck. At the 25min mark, I would see all these orders leaving...I would walk up and ask "38 ready?" And I would be hit with "waiting on the chicken tenders" ....ok chicken tenders take 10mins max....35mins pass...."number 42, 43, 44" Okkkay....where's 38? I walk back up at 40mins to everyone just standing around "hey man I've been waiting for over 30 mins" They tell me again they are waiting on my tenders, as I see them sitting behind the glass under heat lamps. He finally realizes...oh there they are and makes my order. Hands me my food, I ask if I can please have it to go please, and dude says "you can grab a bag and pack it up" No napkins, offering of condiments or sauces. Dude. As I am standing there, hands full of bags. $16 and over 40mins later It sucks because the service and unorganization is what ruined it for me. The food was actually good and potatoes are my favorite food. Crispy fries, crispy chicken tenders..wish we would get more food for $16 but it really was delicious. The seasonings are powder tho which is a bummer. No fresh ingredients here, but what do you expect from mall food. I am not one to complain, or be overly rude, but not all experiences are 5 stars, and im alqays hopeful, bad experiences can help pave the road for better ones in the future. If there was another location I might return for the food, but my experience here (and from what I see others experiencing) I won't be back to this corner read more

Ever since this place opened years ago, my mom and I always pick one up to share when we would go shopping. It is such a good snack to have while walking around. We went recently and it has been a very long time since I've had it because I just don't go to the mall at all anymore. My bf and I were only here to kill time while waiting for our Crumbl order down the street. We stopped by this stand and I was super excited since it's been so long. I was looking at the menu and I was bummed to see that it has changed a little (or maybe just this location?) I always got the waffle fries because the seasoning would really stick to it and I like the flatness of them. But I didn't see it anymore! Maybe the sweet potato replaced it? I ended up getting the loopy (curly) fries with the bbq seasoning anyway and it was great! They season it so perfectly and can't go wrong with it. I love this place and highly recommend it if you want a good snack! IG: @ammysalamii read more

The fries are fire. Cheddar and bbq flavor with original or curly fries are my favorite. Service wise, they're not very accommodating. I came on a weekday and it wasnt busy. I was standing there for over 10mins with no one else in line. Both workers couldn't be bothered to ask me for my order. So im thinking maybe we can only order online. So i did that. When its time to retrieve my order, i noticed its the bag thats been ready and has been sitting there for 15mins; they didnt bother to call me to say my order was ready. I had to rely on the estimated time online. Wasted half an hour for a single order. I guess it depends on who's working there. read more

Potato corner is a great snack. To have with anything else. I had the sour cream and onion. It taste great. you can mix and match with anything else you would eat with us. It's really a hit or miss with this location. Sometimes the fries can be fresh or sometimes they are not, sometimes they put a good amount of seasoning and sometimes they don't put enough. There isn't really a consistent good quality, the fries and flavoring are amazing though! I've been coming here for as long as I remember, the prices have gone up a lot but they aren't super unreasonable. It's good for sharing with friends and there are a lot of flavors to try! read more
