This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I've been here so many times and it's very consistence. Bubble tea is good but they use condense milk instead of other kinds of milk. Most items are good but I usually revert back to my favorite which is their daily special called "bun rieu". It's a tomato crab tofu noodle. It's very good. Service is friendly and professional. Never had a long wait. They've recently added to go. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Pot Au Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

Pot Au Pho brings a different kind of taste to your Pho bowl! The Pho places I tend to favor have a more "complex" flavor profile, lots of Star Anise, cinnamon, etc. Pot Au Pho's is neater/cleaner and refreshing, is a great vessel to transport the citrusness of the lime and the floral accent of the Culantro. Their tendon is amazing and meat portions do not disappoint! We gave their spring rolls a try and these too were slightly different that what we are accustomed to, but don't get it twisted, they were extremely good, the accompanying dip sauce was a great compliment to this dish. We will definitely come back next time we are in Mobile! read more

I absolutely love pho. The broth at Pot Au Pho is so flavorful. It honestly is velvety. It warms my soul. That may sound cheesy, but it always makes me feel better after I'm having a stressful day. I love that I can add as much veggies or as little as I want. Some places add the sprouts and basil and I'm not a sprouts fan. I do add a little hoisin sauce and a little siracha sauce for a kick. My friend had the steamed rice with grilled beef and enjoyed it a lot. She said it was cooked well and seasoned properly. The portion sizes for both dishes are not skimpy. The service is a little lacking because the servers are young and seem more occupied with their phones. They are friendly just not as attentive. read more

Huge disappointment :( I was craving some Pho but had forgotten my go to Pho88 was closed on Mondays so I headed further down the road to this place. I ordered the LARGE veggie Pho. 90% of the bean sprouts were old and slimy, 90% of the basil was black and bitter. I was shocked when they the bowl came out as it was the smallest bowl of Pho I have ever seen. The veggies consisted of green onion, broccoli and cabbage, that's it. The broth lacked depth. I will NEVER stray from Pho88 again, lesson learned. One star for cleanliness and one star because it was edible. read more

Excellent service! Nice and quiet place. And the bowls were the best I have food in Mobile.

It was just after 8 but it looked and felt like closing time when our to-go order was placed. Broth was bland and cold. Veggies wet and wilted. We all immediately regretted our dinner choices and vowed never again, tired of one more chance for this place. Extra star for the chopstick upgrade. read more

Ate here with my nephew who is a big fan of Vietnamese food and this was his first visit to Mobile. We found the restaurant disappointing. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't all that great either. It was edible. We all had Pho. They brought out plenty of ads-ins - Basil, bean sprouts, lime. But the bowls of soup were lukewarm. read more

So yummy! Try the crispy tofu vermicelli and you will not be disappointed. Pair it with the coconut water drink and it's perfect pricing portions and deliciousness read more

Taste good and value price. You paid below $10 to get a plate meal with rice, grill chicken, 3 jumbo shrimps and a salad amd bowl of miso soup as side. Hubby tried beef pho , compare to other pho restaurant the portion is slightly smaller. However he said taste good too. By: www.yencooking.com read more

The food here is amazing, and one of the best Asian food places in town!! The service is pretty quick when you dine in the restaurant but takes a bit longer when your picking an order up. And when you do pick up orders there seems to be a bit less pho then there normally is. Overall though this place is really really good! Also if your new to pho or just want to find something different the rare beef is one of the best that they have read more

The food here was amazing and authentic! There was a slight language barrier but im okay with it Me and my bf definitely will be back

I really like this place. I was disappointed by the lack of true vegetarian pho which is in short supply here in Mobile for some reason - especially since they have tofu as an option in Pho(what non-vegetarians order tofu exactly?). That said, I really enjoyed the Tofu vermicelli. The prices were right and the service was spot on. read more

Don't be afraid to venture out!!! This place is delicious! At first glance, it looks kinda weird. But when you walk in, the beef noodle soup aroma gets you!! I always order the beef noodle special! The broth is delicious and savory. You get a side plate of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lemon basil, lemon wedges and jalepenos to add to your broth of you desire. I practically add everything including Siracha hot sauce and sweet hoisin sauce!! Yummy!!! I'm salivating as I write this review! I hope you give this place a chance!!! The Bun Bo Hue is delicious too! Not overly spicy. Will be back over and over and over again!' read more

This place is god sent. I was looking for a Vietnamese restaurant somewhere near by my home and finally found a place that was good! I ordered pho, (taste fresh& seasoned well.) I also ordered some pearl tea and it taste phenomenal! I love the staff there because they're all sweet and greeted me right away when I walked in the door. They also have a drive through which was very convenient to have during covid and I can order my food next time and pick it up without getting out of my car! How excellent, and would recommend 100%!!!! read more

I am from out of town and really wanted some Pho. Went here at 8:15 pm. A full 45 minutes before closing and got turned away becuase they were closing. Hard to believe any business would turn away a single person who is by themselves becuase it's closing in 45 minutes. Needless to say that I will never return here. read more

Have had both dine in and take out. Both were delicious! We are vegetarian, and we appreciate the variety of veggie menu items at a fair price. We'll definitely be back! read more

First of all the staff was incredibly friendly. Ordered the large Special Pho to-go and was not disappointed. The meat was extremely flavorful as well as the broth. Came with plenty of sauce to make it as spicy as i needed. The portion size was great for 2 people with leftovers. The egg rolls were the best I've ever had around here. I am so happy with my experience and i can't wait to go back to try their avocado smoothie! read more

Pot Au Pho - BEST egg rolls I've ever had. I had a couple before i took the pic - Vietnamese Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

Was craving Vietnamese while working in Mobile, so yelped and decided to try this place, I got the rare steak Pho and combination Bahn Mi. Honestly the food was just ehhhhh. Disclaimer: I'm from New Orleans where we have a plethora of great Vietnamese places. The ham on the Bahn Mi and the broth of the Pho just has an unusual taste to it. Lunch was underwhelming. I probably won't be back. read more

They took more the tip in my card, I'm not come back again and never, if somebody ask me about The service I would say is unsatisfactory

Ok. Price was good but was disappointed at the broth. Serving portion for huge but really lacked flavor. Recommend more time on building out broth flavor. Too bad, thought this might be a new favorite. read more

Damn good food, wide selection, enjoyable environment and decent covid precautions. There was an oversight that left me waiting on a go order for a good while longer than needed, so possibly the bar and checkout staff could work on communication and attentiveness? But if it doesn't happen again I'll happily call that a fluke. Humans make mistakes. read more

Excellent food good prices. Service is average. I have been to the restaurant several times and have found that the food is well prepared and the portions are large. The menu is some what large with different types of dishes. read more

I had lunch here for the first time today and was impressed with the Pho Soup. I ordered the Chicken Pho and it was all white meat! The broth was flavorful and there were plenty of veggies to add into the bowl! I am looking forward to trying the beef & bison next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and filled up the closer it got to noon. This is obviously a "local" favorite. Very inexpensive for a medium bowl of soup and a drink. It was less than $10. They do offer Thai coffee and tea if you want something beyond water, soda or regular tea. read more

Very disappointed with what I got tonight. The two fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls were only rice and a strip of pork and one had a single shrimp, none of the veggies that used to be in them. And the were very tough. The chicken vermicelli was only noodles, chicken and lettuce and it was lukewarm at best. This is the same thing I order a few times a year but it is not the same as I have received in the past. The price was also about 30% higher than what is posted on their own website. Very disappointed. read more

Well today was a disappointment. They have added Ban Mi sandwiches. Got the grilled chicken. It was really average. Coldish chicken even though I got it right when made. The jalapeño slice was 3/4 inch thick and took my head off when I bit into it. Sandwich was dry, and had minor flavor. Sorry guys, get someone who knows how to make it tasty! Oh!, and the young man who made it dropped his mask around neck while he did the work. Great way to lose my business. read more

Excellent. Superior quality and flavor. Ought to change the name to Pho King, cause it's the phoking best honey!

Greeted with friendly smiles and the aroma of pho. No matter where we visit we ALWAYS seek out the pho in that area.... so of course we turned to Yelp and ended up here. Very friendly and welcoming. My husband and I both ordered a medium pho with rare beef, tendon and meatball. The flavor of this broth is very clean.... I'm not crazy about intense amounts of star anise. A lot of places can be pretty oily.... not this place. Very clean. We also ordered an order of spring rolls and fresh rolls.... both were equally delicious. Well definitely be back the next time we're in Mobile. read more

Got some take out. They have added a drive thru during covid so that's good. My wife absolutely loves this place and considers it the best Vietnamese in town. We always get the B-12 and an order of extra egg rolls. I will say the egg rolls are the best especially with extra fish sauce to dip into. 3.5 stars Asian people in Mobile AL, you should check this place out. Though from the looks of it when I walked in, the word already got out. I had no idea there even WERE Asians in Mobile until I came here. Their beef stew was good, but with egg noodlles? Eww. I haven't had egg noodles since I was in Hong Kong and forgot how much I hated them. Thanks for the reminder. Yet still, who am I to complain about decent Asian food in Mobile. Got my fix of Vietnamese food and upon reflection, I kind of want some more. read more

My husband and I decided to try Pot Au Pho today and it was fantastic. I started with fried egg rolls which were great and my husband had the spring rolls. He said he would be happy to make a meal just out of those. I ordered the beef and egg roll bùn. I loved it. It was a huge portion and I couldn't finish it. But enjoyed every bite I took. Hubby had the rare brisket pho. It was very yummy as well and we will definitely go back. The restaurant is not fancy and although the food was perfect, it isn't the place to go if you are looking for special date nite atmosphere. It is very laid back and the staff is very nice and quick. This was my first time ever having Vietnamese food, ever. I wish I had tried it before now. So nom nom. I say go here. read more

Service: Decent. Immediately ask for drinks once seated. And immediately ask if I'm ready to order once I get my drink. But I have not look through the menu yet. Interior: Reminds me of a Mexican restaurant with the paint colors and tiles. No special decor and not very clean. Watch out for broken chairs, I saw one chair with slanted legs. Don't be that person. Pork skin roll: Very large-sized. Fillled mostly with vermicelli noodle in the center, while veggies and the pork skin are wrapped around the noodle. The fish sauce gave it flavor, otherwise it is quite plain on it's own. Would recommend ordering only 1 roll, because 2 would be too much. Special pho: Great flavor broth before adding anything to it. The meat and tendons didn't have any flavor, most likely due to initially being cooked separately. The beef balls were really good and full of flavor. I did add hoisin sauce, lime juice, beansprouts, and some herbs. Size: I ordered a medium bowl of pho, but it actually seem like a large size, once stirred. Did not finish and had to take remaining to go. Durian smoothie with boba: Taste just like the real durian. Decent size for the price. Menu: Very limited with 4 appetizers, a rice section, a noodle section, a pho section, and several other miscellaneous options. Road: Watch out when you try to get here, the entrance may scratch front bumper if your car is low. read more

What a find! My first order at a Vietnamese restaurant is always roast pork and egg roll bun (noodle salad). Pat's is chicken pho. The bun was full of fresh veggies, whole peanuts, delicious eggroll chunks and thin juicy strips of seasoned pork. I managed to eat half of it and look forward to the leftovers. Pat's soup broth was perfect. The white chicken meat was ample but not so flavorful. She nearly emptied her bowl though. We long for Pot Au Pho to move to our hometown in the Ozarks ! read more

Everything fresh and flavorful. Good broth in the Pho. Next time I will ask for the rare stake on the side so it doesn't cook too much. They don't currently sell alcohol but allow you to bring your own for a small fee. My son had the strawberry smoothie which i guess was prepackaged. Little too sweet for my taste but son loved it. Awesome service. Clean, open dinning area. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pot-Au-Pho-Vietnamese-Restaurant/ read more

Pot Au Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

Did a bit of driving from Orlando and stopped in Mobile for the evening (heading home to SoCal). The little one picked something outta Yelp! and we ended up at the Pot Au Pho. The area looks like an older strip mall that's 60% occupied. Some standing structure in the back of the main restaurant. Easy parking, great AC, pleasant greeting and service. We ordered a variety of Pho, dry noodles w/ BBQ pork, and a BBQ pork rice dish. The food looked & tasted great, accompanying veggies were fresh, lemon wedges were juicy, and the Pho soup base was pleasing. Even the cut of beef used was to our liking. Would have been an easy 5 *s, but my daughter commented her BBQ pork could have been cooked more crispy & I didn't particularly like the spongy seating in the booth. Other than that, we thoroughly recommend you stop in for a fix, before heading on. If I ever come through again, the cat will be back! read more

The 1st few times my husband and I have eaten here the service was pretty terrible but the food is so good that we just keep coming back. I went back recently to picked up a togo order. Everything was perfect, my food was packed and ready when I got there, I was greeted with a friendly face and the customer service was spot on. Keep up the good work guys! If your customer service is this good the next time I dine in I'll definitely have to upgrade my review to five stars. 4 stars for now because we were disappointed the times we dined in. Our waiter or waitress would forget about us for long periods of time, forgetting to bring any drinks and getting a refill was not going to happen. read more
