There is a $5 service fee! $5 DOLLARS as a service fee?! You can go anywhere and get a book of stamps for $11. If this place is gouging you on stamps what else can they be gouging you on! Hope you go in there when the people are having a good day. It has been about 50/50 in my experiences. They are also very good at charging fees for anything. FedEx allows free drop off and hold for items when you're not going to be home and this was one of several FedEx drop spots listed near my house so I chose it. Aaron helped me & he was friendly & enthusiastic & very helpful. Even though it's prime busy season & some customers were cranky. He just let it bounce off him and kept throwing out kindness. Very disappointed at the way the staff treated me. UPS dropped off a package for me there. The clerk was soooo rude. She asked my name and when she couldn't find it she was annoyed with me. She checked the tracking number and it showed the package was there, more annoyance with me. The other two clerks were loudly discussing a problem shipment and ignored her when she asked for her help. Finally she yelled that they had a lost package and one of them asked the name and it was sitting on the floor next to her. I can only hope I don't ever have to return to this store. read more

I've been here three times. The first two were great. Very friendly and helpful, although the pricing was absurd. This last time was awful. The woman, with dark hair and purple glasses, was rude. Loud. Barking. Unfriendly. I had boxes that had prepaid return labels on them. She couldn't scan them because they were blurry (?). She was indignant about it. When we asked for a receipt, she told us we should have asked for that first. Then I had to read the numbers back to her after fetching two of the boxes from the back myself, despite an injured foot. She then chastised us again about the label, saying that UPS would have to manually enter the code. Throw in some huffing and puffing, and you get the full picture. Completely unhelpful, verging on hostile. I have never been treated so poorly by an establishment. Sad to say we will not be returning. read more

I use PayPal Ship Now to print my own labels. There is no post office within 10 miles so we are forced to use the Postal Annex to drop our packages off. If for some reason I can't use Ship Now, I'll pay to have Postal Annex provide my postage. No more. Today we dropped a package off to ship and they charged a convenience fee. They took my package, dropped it in a large USPS mail bin, and charged me a buck. I won't be using them again. Ridiculous. read more

My husband and I have each been here once to buy postage and ship a package. We both had the same experience: exorbitant cost. I recently mailed an average sized book packed minimally via media mail and was charged $6.43. The clerk printed out the postage and stuck it on the book before I had a chance to decline, so I felt obligated to pay. I mentioned that the price seemed very high for a book and the clerk blamed "rising gas prices." LOL. I checked online when I got home and usps.com says it should have cost $2.43. I get that this place needs to upcharge for convenience, but an extra $4 on something as cheap as media mail was unexpected and tacky. Next time I need to buy postage I am either doing it online or going to a legit USPS. -- Another thing to mention is that they sell postcards here. Oregon postcards. Don't we live in Washington? When I first visited this location I told the lady behind the counter that it was odd they only had Oregon postcards and that I send a lot of postcards each year. She didn't seem to care, and told me that the owner was from Oregon and that was why. I said that it was no reason to only sell Oregon cards, and when I made it a point to explain again that I would buy ample quantities (I participate in postcard swapping) she said she would tell the owner my request, but based on her overall "couldn't-care-less" attitude I find that hard to believe. I was trying to bring this place more business, but I guess I'll stick to stores like Walgreens (which is right next door) and Fred Meyer for my postcard needs. read more

If I could leave a review with 0 stars I would. But I have to put 1. I went to have a document notarized and was willing to pay $10 per signature to have it done. The notary said there needed to be a witness in addition to the notary, which was not the case since we had it notarized at another location (next door at the Auto License at ACE) for $5 pee signature without a witness. They wanted to charge us $40 for 4 signatures and refused to listen to logic and read the papers in front of them that only asked for 1 signature. When I brought it to their attention the "nice lady" named Kelly raised her voice at me and was incredibly rude. I will never let them have a penny of my money. read more

They have always been extremely helpful, gone over and above to make sure we do everything properly so I get the desired results, and above all they have been consistently more affordable than any of the other shipping stores nearby. I wish I would have read the reviews before I shipped anything. The woman who helped me with boxing and package was nice but I should have paid for just that and shipped it myself. Their pricing isn't listed anywhere and there's no indication that they charge more than double what any shipping service will charge you. For my single package, they charged a $30 up charge and shipped the slowest method. When I went back in after realizing this, the 2nd woman working shouted from the back that they have to make money and their $30 fee is appropriate. Completely insensitive, condescending and just honestly one of the worst customer service experience I've had in a while. In addition, I found out after that they completely lied about UPS already picking up the package, stating they couldn't refund anything since it already left. Someone else clued me into the fact that the pickup times are listed on their website after I questioned UPS not scanning the package that allegedly left already. Honestly, I'm surprised this place still has customers with the horrible reviews on yelp and google. Perhaps those folks aren't shipping anything. I was given the owners number (503-329-0058), who couldn't care less so don't bother. You can file a complaint against 3rd party retail shipping locations directly with UPS, FedEx and USPS, they'll review it. You can also leave feedback for Postal annex corporate (even though it's a franchise) and they will also review it. And lastly, file a complaint w/the BBB for WA state. Whatever you do, take your business elsewhere or go across the street to fedex, who don't make a business out of ripping people off. read more

Absurd, prices. We were told that the price for notary services was $10 per document signature. When we started the process it turns out it is $10 per signature, so if you had to sign one document twice then it would be $20 dollars. If I would have known this before the document was written I would have never paid that ridiculous price. I tried to send a package at this store. I needed expedited shipping and insurance. I asked them what my best bet was, their response was that my cheapest option would cost me $45. This package was less than 1.5 pounds! I then took my package to USPS where my package was sent for $13.95. Either these people are really uneducated on postage or they are out to rip people off. We used postal annex to notarize documents previously no problem. However latest notarization was botched and so I had to go elsewhere to have a second copy notarized at the last minute. PA offered to supply me a full refund for the mistake if I supplied them the receipt and associated records. However after they realized the amount of the refund was $60 (6 signatures), not the $20 they assumed, they changed their mind and offered only a partial refund with no justification. Ultimately I got back the total charge by sending all the documentation in to my credit card company and disputed it. It didn't have to be that way. If you want someone who stands by their services don't go here. read more

Had to return an item for my fiancé today. Was greeted (more like grunted) by Kelly. Kelly informed me that that "require a donation to children with cancer" for ship out (hi, you have a contract with UPS..I have a prepaid UPS label). I apologized, I don't have any cash on me (it's 2017 everyone uses cards and sorry, I literally don't) she then said "I'll let it slide this once but we need the donations to pay for tape" so are the donations for kids with cancer? Or to pay for tape? And oh yeah, I don't get a receipt with tracking info either. I'm not sure the laws here but soliciting money for kids with cancer to pay for store supplies seems KIND of illegal. I'd like to see a receipt for this donation to "kids with cancer". My fiancé called when I got home and spoke with Kelly (who denied the situation even though surprise! I know it was her because we have the same name) she so rudely rushed him off the phone after his inquiry as to what the required donation was for and told him we could come in tomorrow to review to tapes to prove that I never asked for a receipt. We'll be there. PS don't donate to their ridiculous LIE. They're not helping any kid with cancer, and if this is what they're portraying--the owner should know! I went in here today and asked to have a small package shipped. Out of the 3 employees working there, none of them greeted me. I asked to have my SMALL package shipped the most inexpensive way. I brought my own self sealing envelope. After typing my information into the computer, she told me that would be just under $9. WHAT?? I questioned why so much, asking why I could send this in a USPS provided envelope at the post office for $5.95. She said that it wouldn't fit, which it seriously would have. After going around and around with her, having her tell me that if I left, everywhere else would charge me double (YEAH. RIGHT.) and her obviously becoming very ticked off, I said I wanted to take this to the post office and asked for me package back. She pushed it toward me on the counter and acted so rude. I said "I'm sorry I obviously ruined your day!" She said "You Didn't!" (Which was so snotty, as I had obviously ticked her off that I didn't use her over priced service.
