Postal Sweets is a one of a kind post office. Have you ever been bored to tears while waiting in a long line to get your postal errand done? Well not here where you can shop an array of gifts and candy. Gifts include wall to wall and wall to ceiling of stuffed animals plus toys, puzzles, candles, bath products, Florida souvenirs, gag gifts, and stationary, The birthday cards were some of the nicest and most unique I have ever seen and some were personalized with ages and the year people were born. Candy is sold packaged and in bulk. This is the first store I have been in where you can shop for a gift and mail it there too. Prices weren't bad either. In addition to all of the gift items they also have all the mailing supplies you would need. Once you package it up, just take it to the back of the store and mail it off. I have been to Postal Sweets so many times in the past years. Why you ask? Simple.......its a neighborhood store that takes care of your mailing functions. Or you can load up on candy for the kids. Or if a friend or relative is having some medical issue's you can buy a little something to bake them smile , as they have tons of little something's. I recently had to copy sone documents to then be mailed and called them to ask if they can do copies. Without a hesitation, yes was the response. So rather than going to a major corporations store I went to PS, who copied 15 documents, and nailed it via USPS. Here's the kicker. The staff are all so nice and helpful. There may not be many Mom/Pop stores left, , yet these folks are the best. It's a cute store, loaded to the ceiling with" stuff", and the price is always right. read more

There's usually not much fun about going to the post office really. And by that there is no fun at all. But when I have been to Postal Sweets things have been different. I assume its a shop that got a license to ship for the US Mail. I say that as when I first walked in it didn't look like a pot office. I had searched on line for a place to mail a couple packages and it told me to go to this small strip mall. I almost couldn't find it as it looked altogether like some other type of store. when I walked in to the unassuming convenient store my eyes were hit with a barrage of content. there is stuff everywhere. Postal Sweets is mostly a US mail place to ship letters and packages I think. but it also has: Tourist stuff for Florida retro candies and retro knickknacks. modern knickknacks and tchotchke's of all kinds. It sure isn't fancy, but it sure is a distraction when waiting in a post office line! Be sure to ask the price before you mail and options how to ship, but you cant go wrong stopping in Postal Sweets. I have been coming here since I was a little girl, and most recently made a trip back to the store at the age of 21. It was just as magical if not more. The people here strive for excellence in service with each and every customer. They were so helpful and kind. As a young girl, my frequent trips to postal suites were filled with finding the perfect Webkinz. After returning to this store years later, the owner of the store gifted me a Webkinz I had as a child and I was lost for words. It's quirky, funky shop where you can buy all sorts of birthday, holiday, and miscellaneous greeting cards, candy, toys, widgets, fidgets, and bidgets. They also have a post office in the back. It's a solid place to go mail packages, get your Mom a birthday card, remember to send the friends that matter holidays cards, and perhaps grab a toblerome and some runts. I should also add they have some cool little thig-a-ma-jigs and whatchamacallits that hold a wine bottles as well as flasks and kooky wine and beers glasses and coffee mugs that make you crack a grin that will make you frown turn within. They MOVED to a smaller location! But keeping that same feel of toy-store with full-service USPS postal services! This is a wonderful little neighboorhood USPS post office with excellent staff that is very, very helpful. They are quick to suggest package sizes and postal costs that get your goods to their destination as cheap and quick as possible. They really go out of their way to customize your shipping/mailing solution! I like the assortment of Jelly Belly jellybeans they have in-stock. Some harder-to-find selections, and single flavor-bags, not just a jumble of flavors. A nice selection of candy and candy bars, at slightly inflated prices but not too crazy. The parking is now on the side of the shopping complex, and not as many free spaces available, but if you dont mind walking the extra 20-50 feet, you can find plenty of parking out in front of the complex. They have good operating hours that dont make you rush to get your packages sent off. read more

This little store is great. Not only do they have a post office but they have an assortment of cards and gifts too. They are a small family owned store and have been around forever. I love supporting local independent businesses. The post office counter is in the back of the store. The clerks are helpful. I have never waited on line for more than a few minutes. It really beats going to the main post office where you can wait forever. Here, your in and out. No waiting, no struggle for a parking spot and no attitude from snippy clerks. They have a gigantic selection of greeting cards. Really cool and unique cards that you wont find in any Hallmark or CVS. They also have some "dirty" cards that are really funny & cute "pet" cards too. The prices are lower than most of the other stores that sell cards. I have never walked out of this store without buying a card. They sell candy by the pound. I have never purchased any but they have a fairly large selection of candy. I noticed that they had a good selection of the candy that I ate as a kid. I stay clear of this isle when I am in this store. Out of site, out of mind. Not really, but I do try my hardest to avoid the candy isle. Hand painted wine glasses, sparkly lipstick holders, jewelry boxes and stationary sets are just a few of the gifts you can find here. Maggie helped save me money on more than one occasion. If you have something to ship, I suggest you take it to the front counter and see what the most economical way to ship it is. She repacked two of my packages and saved me money each time. They also have cute and inexpensive gift items. This is the place for any kind of stuffed animal you could imagine! This is so much more than a postal center. I was there today for the very first time and all the girls who worked there were so friendly and made me feel as if we have known each other for years. Postal sweets is a wonderful place with helpful staff who have repeatedly helped me look for items in the store or when trying to simply send a package. They have always been courteous and have frequently given alternative shipping suggestions to both save money, add tracking, or just get it there sooner. They have also been very kind to help transfer some of those packages to new containers and tape them up afterwards to get a nice discount when sending it. This is a great store for when I'm looking for an unusual candy, gift, or just need to get something sent quickly with a lot less hassle than the normal post office. read more

Convenient local stocked post office plus this place is so fun! You can buy your greeting cards and mail them at the post office in the back! There is a huge selection of greeting card styles, monogramed notecards and gifts and a whole aisle of commercial candy, wrapped and by-the-pound. They had giant pez! Waiting in line for the post office is entertaining because you can window shop wacky personalized mugs and unusual gifts. There are some hand-painted things too. I bought a Groupon to get $20 worth of candy for $10. My husband and I love candy and this seemed like a great deal. I figured $20 worth of candy would last for awhile. When we went into the shop to use the Groupon the woman at the front cash register directed us to large number of candy dispensers. She showed us where to find plastic bags, and where to weigh the candy so we would know how much we got. A lot of the candy was gummy bears, jelly beans, and hard candies. Mostly the type they sell at Costco, CVS, or the dollar store. When I saw the price written on the wall I found it hard to believe. It said $10 a pound. I asked the woman at the register if that was the right price. Yup, it was. I purchased flavored tootsie rolls for my husband, gummi bears for me, and a few sticks of taffy. My purchase, with tax, came to a little over $20. I didn't feel to bad because with the Groupon I paid a little over $10. read more

This is the go-to place if you are looking for stuffed animals, toys, gifts or candy. They have it all and they are super nice. Not to mention you can mail it directly to your recipient from the U.S. Post Office located right in their store. It is not one of those Mailing Shops but a valid U.S. Post Office. Recently, my child went with his Nanna to Postal Sweets and came home with this giant stuffed elephant. Since we don't live here, I wondered how on earth we were going to get this thing home. It was so big, it would take up a whole suitcase. Although the receipt said No Returns on it, I called and spoke with Jennifer (I think) and explained that my child had no authority to buy this massive stuffed animal and spent $52 of his own money but I couldn't bring it home. She was very kind and said that I was welcome to bring it back and she would refund his money. BTW, the $52 was a bargain compared to buying this same animal online for $70 as it's a Melissa and Doug brand named animal of very high quality. Well, my child prevailed upon me and we managed to find a way to stuff the elephant and its trunk into the suitcase (although not much else would fit in the suitcase!) and bring it home. It's nice to know there is still some good, old-fashioned customer service in this little Mom & Pop store. Visit it if you can! :) read more

This is my all-time favorite place to find any type of gift for those of all ages when I want a little extra something to add to a card or package. Everything from stuffed animals, candy, coffee or traveling mugs, to coasters, fun kitchen items, toys, sports mugs/pens/etc, wall hangings that I could even decorate my home with & really, any type of fun little gift to make my mail a bit more special. The entire store is stacked from top to bottom & the staff is amazingly helpful! Extremely professional, always have a smile & actually make a point to take the time to get to know they're regular customers as well as new. The postal counter is in the back & there's rarely a line due to the staff's hard work, yet if there ever is...I've found there's so much great stuff to occupy myself with that I haven't even noticed a very short wait. I'm on a sour candy kick and thank goodness for Postal Sweets! I'd been in there a few times for their kitchy knick knack gifts and cards (bought a booty bobbler on clearance for $3!) but only recently for sour candies upon doctors orders (no joke!).. I have a situation with the services of the post office at this location and the same owner of the store/gift shop. I sent a package to Canada and was sent it to Australia. when I stop by to try to find answers, he acts negligent, tried to avoid me, to give to much any more information, instead he sent me to central office of post office of Boca. Raton, to check my package telling me he is not responsible. to my surprise I find out the postal sweets store, over charges 35% extra, of regular post office prices to send a package, they may be allowed to do their own prices. if you value your money think before you do any business with this store. better off at regular post office, this 3rd party store charges up to 35% extra! to ship packages. Main post office said for weight package was $50.35 and they charge $77.00 and package went to wrong country. read more

I would give this place a zero rating if I could. Terrible customer service. When looking at magnets and one falls off the magnetic board I shouldn't be required to buy it. I was planning on buying one anyway just decided on a different one until she made me buy the one that fell, which by the way, was still usable. Hey, stuff happened and I wasn't being careless. My wife recently purchased a gift at postal sweets and when we brought it home we found out the lid on the container wasn't closing properly. It had to be manhandled aggressively to get it to close. I know the policy says no returns, exchanges, or refunds but selling a device that is obviously produced incorrectly should be exchanged at a minimum. When I brought the container back in and showed the cashier upfront, he manhandled the container top and told me there is nothing wrong with it. This container was purchased for my sister which I know will have a significant problem trying to close it. So basically, this was a waste of 20 bucks. This will be the last purchase I ever make at this store. It's just bad business. - In addition, if there is any response to this yelp rating review from the store owner, manager, or representative, they are going to just BS their way into saying everything was perfectly fine. Wow! So, I found this place by shear accident. I was in search of a post office and was not near my home/office and not familiar with the area. I tried Yelping but had a little success, so I googled for a post office and picked the one closest to my route back home. Once I got here I was immediately impress by and taken back to when I was a little girl. This is such an eclectic place. Walking in you have a direct path to the back of the store where the "post office" is located. To get there however, you have to pass all the merchandise...everything is appealing to the eye. This is a perfect store to buy unique or eclectic gifts that you will not find in Target, Walmart, Kmart. They have candy lined up with scales to buy and pay by the pound. There are beautiful martini glasses, wine bottle cork stoppers, wine openers, cards, customized note pads, gag gifts. They have games, and stuffed animals. I am definitely going back when I have more time. The prices seem a bit high for some things. But they also had "sales" as well. Worth a stop in if you are in the area. Oh, and the post office was great. Love the personal touch. Postman was very friendly albeit I think he could tell I was very distracted and in awe with the store itself. Worse experience, the staffs were behind checking what I was doing, I bought candy and did not get receipt and bag, and on top of that one of the staffs right when I was about to leave the store he ask me "ma'am did you pay for the candy".... That was kind of rude.... Them he said people that comes to the store take things without paying .... I am going today as a matter of fact to mail my father in laws Father's Day gift! I am looking for a little something else to mail with what I already bought him, so not only can I mail out his package, I can buy a little something extra for him at the same time! This is literally the best post office you will find. The staff are ALL extremely friendly, kind, and willing to help. I'm a regular customer here for a few years now and I will say without a doubt you don't want to go to one of those other standard USPS stores and wait in line for 10 minutes; they are quick and easy. The owner is amazing, too. I even met Adam Sandler in here once! His mom used to come in here and she bought him this doll called a "Dammit Doll" (pretty funny thing). They have a huuuge candy isle and the location of the store is also great. Carvel is next door and there are some great food places on this strip as well. I'm not one to ever leave reviews, but I decided to do it this time!! Literally though I love the energy of this store. If you live around Boca and have been using those general USPS stores, just stop it and come try this one because you're missing out! I look forward to seeing the staff here.
