Have been wanting to visit for a very long time and finally checked the store out. There is a great selection for babies. However, the clothing from two up for boys is not as cute ., But then, considering the hefty price tag on top just adds to the disappointment. The baby clothes up to two years old is super cute and I can see myself paying and up charge for that style of clothing that you can't find in a lot of shops in the area. However, for 2+ clothing was not so cute. Staff was very friendly. There was a lot of people on shift for being such a small store- this also meant that every minute or so a new staff member is checking in on you asking if you need help finding something specific or for a specific occasion. This can be great customer service and one point but at the same time it can be overdone. They should probably have a better system where when a new client walks in ONE Staff member can offer to assist the customer, maybe they can take turns and the next time a new customer walks in the next staff member can offer help Might someday if I have another baby or if I want to get a special gift for an infant. But otherwise would prefer to shop at other stores in the area with better selection. read more

I LOVE THIS STORE! I live in NJ but always look forward to our trips to Florida when I can visit Elegant Child and shop for my granddaughter. We stay in Orlando and I take the Brightline to Boca just to go here! The clothes are exquisite and a nice variety. Gabby is such a great salesperson, I love her! My 11 week old baby is oh so elegant...that is in between the spitting up, burping and pooping. I set foot in Elegant Child for the 1st time this past weekend, but my mom has been filling my baby's closet with many of their clothes, shoes and toys for several months. And it's quite the selection of clothes, shoes and toys. They carry some of my fave brands for babies: Kissy Kissy, Egg, Biscotti to name a few. They'll also personalize anything for you. We have a beautiful personalized diaper cover that I used for newborn photos & they are currently making me a onesie with her name on it. You can find a lot of the same clothes in department stores like Neimans or Bloomies, but you'll get better service in this small boutique. It can be a bit pricey especially for those times when my baby isn't acting so "elegant," but they have great sales too. Right now all their winter clothes are 40% off, which is perfect for my Chicago elegant baby! read more

The customer service is beyond amazing! I own a salon and for a hobby I work at a bridal store; so finding time to shop is nonexistent. This store goes out of its way to pull clothing for my daughter and pack it nicely to make my life easier. Everywhere my daughter goes people compliment her and stop her to say how beautiful she is. Without their help I'd have to stress when I have time to go shopping and what's in style. We just came back from a vacation and I completely forgot about thanksgiving. What a delightful find. So many wonderful options, and the manager was a marvel at making suggestions based on her deep knowledge of the shop's inventory. Plus they have parking in back. An extra bonus, they will wrap and ship for a small shipping fee, so my Xmas list was lightened immediately. I had been at another local children's clothing shop where I was totally ignored. This is my absolute favorite store! I've been shopping here since my daughter was a year old (she's 3.5 now) & I only wish I had discovered them sooner. Everything they carry is exquisite. Of the utmost quality & always classic yet on trend. Swimsuits, sunglasses, shoes, bows, & dresses to die for & the best selection of pjs. A great place to buy baby gifts & they will even wrap for you. I follow on Instagram & usually shop through the stories when I see new items listed. Shipping is fast & flat rate. I love the variety of items they carry & often find fun things for my 2 older stepdaughter's as well. The owner (as well as everyone else I have spoken with) is super accommodating & extremely sweet. I had high hopes for this store, but unfortunately each time I give them a try I am disappointed and leave the store quite offended. The store is beautiful and clothes are adorable, but for the prices they charge (min $40+) for baby and kids clothes I would expect much better customer service. Each time I go I am ignored and have to Flag someone down for assistance; however they're overly attentive to their "regulars". Additionally, they consider all of their clothes seasonal therefore you have a VERY small window to exchange items before they become FINAL SALE and therefore non-refundable or eligible for store credit. A few recommendations to the owner and staff. Treat everyone like they're your regulars. You won't get any new "regulars" by ignoring your target market. Also your return policy is archaic, rejecting exchanges even when they're gifts. Imagine how many new customers you'd gain from an exchange program - even if it's only a percentage of the purchase price. read more

I wish I could give this store more stars I think this store is more towards "fancy" little girls I came in when they where having their summer sale. It was around 11am the sale started at 9am, there wasnt a lot of boys clothes for sale maybe two racks if I am not correct. Most of the stuff I couldnt picture puting my son in, unless we lived off worth ave it was too waspy for me. I also didnt like how I was followed around by one of the associates it really bothered me made me feel like I was going to take something. I liked the store but not enough to bring my business back there are plenty of other high end childen stores who deserve my business. read more

I was excited to possibly find a take home outfit for my baby(I'm 21 was) at a local shop. However, I walked and wasn't greeted, one person said Hi after a few minutes. They had maybe 5 newborn options, nothing great though. I did strongly consider one outfit and then walked around to think about it. While I was walking around one of the women was just staring at me, didn't say a word, just staring. It was very uncomfortable and awkward not too sure what was going through her mind but I will never return. I am going to buy the original outfit but I will be going directly to the designer. Might want to change your attitudes, pregnancy and birth is an exciting and happy time and FULL of decisions, had I felt welcomed warm and excited to be there and shop you'd have a customer for life. read more

I recently had a baby and a very generous family friend purchased several outfits for the baby for his bris. I live in NJ. The problem is that the size of these clothes are 6-months and even if my baby grows at an alarming rate, they will not be able to wear these clothes without being very warm. It would be at least mid Spring and technically, they will fit in August. I know that this friend paid good money for these clothes and when I called the store, it was confirmed this is a very good customer of the store. I thought it would be easier to mail the clothes back to the store or mail them to a friend in Florida. I was simply looking for the same clothes in a different size or a credit. I was quite surprised to be told that they are now in the midst of their winter sale and these clothes are not returnable. She didn't ask if I had a receipt or if I could get one. Simply that there are no returns on winter merchandise. Sorry. Good bye. She suggested I regift the items. I do not like giving one-star reviews but in this case, I think this warning is worth noting. I will say the people were very polite on the phone when they told me nothing could be done. read more

I've been here multiple times and before today I loved the store. I could always count on finding unique clothing if we had something special to attend, holidays, photo sessions, etc. Prices here are higher than department stores, but I figured I was supporting a local business owner. I ignored that the staff tend to be rude if you're not spending quickly enough. Today I decided not to give them any more business, and if possible, keep you from wasting your time and money there as well. I'm incredibly disgusted in the quality of the clothing and the customer service I received. I returned a shirt today because the embroidery was falling off. The shirt was literally coming apart at the seams. I didn't walk in expecting a refund because my son had worn the shirt a couple times, and I didn't have a receipt, I did however, expect not to be spoken to like a child. And I would have appreciated something more than a flippant remark from the owner: "Maybe you can take it to a tailor or a seamstress." Another woman chimed in "We have all of our spring collections in now, so we couldn't resell it." Well obviously, that's why I brought it back. Im sorry, but if a customer cares enough to get into her car, drive to your location, and embarrass herself attempting to return an obviously unreturnable item, I believe, I know that almost any other clothing store would have accepted said item, apologized enthusiastically, and offered... I don't know, a card for a 10% discount on a future purchase (knowing full well that the customer would probably lose it anyways) even if they couldn't offer a refund. Am I to understand that I can purchase clothing of higher quality from Nordstrom, Macy's, even TJ Maxx!! AND receive better customer service?? For a lesser price??? I will take the Plain Jane department store clothing and the cheerful, cooperative, department store attitude over the ridiculous prices, snobby little sales clerks and inferior products that the Elegant Child is peddling. read more

I have to be honest the store does have beautiful selection of clothing , however almost everything I bought from this store fell apart. For example , the pretty head bands all fell apart from the inside and outside ribbon unravelled , a very cute sequined bolero which cost about $ 150 fell apart and all the pearls and sequin were falling off when my daughter wore it out to dinner. The rain boots with the flower on top is a nightmare , the flower came off when my daughter wore it in the rain??? I am really disappointed that the clothing and shoes fall apart so easily. read more

OBSESSED. I make the drive from Miami Beach to shop here for my kids and whenever I need to get a gift for any birthdays, baby showers, etc. This store is a one stop shop and for a busy mom that makes all the difference. The staff is very knowledgeable and goes out of their way to make sure I'm happy EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It also doesn't hurt that the store itself is an absolute feast for the eyes. Elegant Child is truly my favorite store for children's clothing, they have the most adorable things to choose from for both boys and girls! The employees are so helpful and sweet which always adds to a nice experience. I have always preferred to shop here over having to search through Saks or Neimans, especially because they carry the same brands that I would go to find in the department stores. I purchased some outfits recently for a friend of mines newborn and she was so happy with them!! She had to go to the store herself to see what else they had to offer. Such a disappointment. I WAS a very good customer. They do have great girls clothes and I bought my first granddaughter TONS of stuff there. Not no more. I went to return a pair of shoes I had bought that didn't fit her. Because I didn't have the right box - I had purchased more than one pair of shoes that day - the owner said, "nope can't return them"! Didn't offer a store credit or anything. Didn't even have the decency to face me, she just told her employee to tell me not taking them back. Plus they have tons of these shoes at the store. Somehow I think getting the right box wouldn't be a problem. Their loss. They have lost my business and I will certainly share my experience with my friends who have grandchildren. Zero customer service there. Their clothes are cute but expensive. They have no trouble taking your money but if you have an issue forget about it. Too bad. I won't be back. read more

My children, ages 5 & 7 absolutely love the clothes we find here. Unique and tasteful and good quality. The staff is very helpful and you see the same faces when you shop which is nice because they remember your likes and dislikes and help with suggestions when you are in a hurry. This is a charming place to spend an hour or two, just looking at the beautiful, high-quality children's clothing and toys. If you give a gift from this store you can always count on a delighted gasp at from the recipient at the baby shower! They do a nice job gift wrapping for free on full-price items. My daughter and I love the selection of jewelry for little girls at a range of price points. I try to dress my children well because I feel they are noticed in a positive way when the are dressed well, and we have been complimented on our clothes from this store again and again. As far as swimsuits and sun-gear, there is no better place to go for boys or girls in South Florida or online. I go every year and get swim things for both my children in January. Our sun can be ruthless, and they understand what is needed for a South Florida summer! The selection is much greater here than any of the Boca department stores. A fun place to take your out-of-town guests to shop. Have lunch at Casimir across the street and make a day of it! Park in the lot behind the store for convenience, off the street. read more
