While other stores have a mix of new and old or carry Florida souvenirs, Beresford Manor specializes in high quality items made in France. The inspiration for Beresford Manor came from the owners trips to France where they embraced the phrase art de vivre which translates to English as the art of living. The shop opened in 1993 and they have been in business for 30 years in downtown Lake Worth. As soon as you open the door you feel welcomed in both English and French. I came in looking for a birthday gift for a friend who loves lavender. I found the perfect item on a cart filled with bath items made with lavender from Provence. The narrow store is long and there are several rooms of linens, kitchen items, accessories, folding umbrellas, and personal care items from all over France. The melamine serving trays and bright colored placemats were especially pretty. They had a great selection of dish towels too as well as gorgeous fabric and wall paper so you can give your home the French country look. Prices ranged from a few dollars to much more. Service was top notch and friendly. I'll be back to shop for some Christmas presents.

Located within the boundaries of the City of Lake Worth Municipal Beach complex (say that fast three times), there are small shops on the ground floor of the complex. The T-shirt company lives up to its name as it is chock full of, well, shirts. Long sleeve, short sleeve, hoodies, swimsuits, and everything in between adorns the racks and walls of this shop. Beyond the clothing items, they have a lot of beach related stuff - some toys for the kiddies and even some jewelry. The store had at least four people working there on a Sunday afternoon and we found them all to be super helpful - not sure where some of the bad ratings came from related to friendliness, but we had no issues whatsoever. Prices are all over the place to fit every budget - and they are great with just letting you sort through what they have without being pushy.
